We stayed here during the 250th celebration weekend, so we were out a lot of the time and the location was great for the price; just 1.3 miles from the Capital building. This property was very clean and updated with modern touches. There was an inflatable bed for our kids to sleep on, and the size of the apartment was just right for sleeping and getting ready. We appreciated the security of an outer gate, and it was possible to find free street parking nearby. The only minor difficulty was the lighting was not great for finding and getting into the property upon our arrival late at night.

Clean and comfortable!

We were in town to attend a hockey game and stayed for 3 nights. The place is clean and the bed is comfortable. Perfect size for 2 people. It had a very spacious bathroom with heat lamps so that was nice. I felt safe in the neighborhood and had no trouble street parking behind the house. I would stay there again!

Perfect for Business or Leisure

It was a wonderful place to stay. Very close to the convention center where I had meetings. But, the unit itself is very nice, and my partner (who worked remotely) and our dog enjoyed a nice time there. There's a gated parking locale behind the property which made it convenient for us. And, we could walk to a lot of the sights or take a short uber ride.

Great place !

Loved our stay here ! Very charming and cute. 10 min to subway and convenient. Loved all the Washington photos in the house. Only thing we missed was a VCR,a blender and you could use more dishes and glasses... but otherwise it was totally great. The extra parking spot was so appreciated. Overall we loved it !! Barb

Week-long DC Trip

My partner and I just spent the past 5 days at this spot and it was great! It's only a couple miles from the national mall and is perfect if you'd like to walk or bike to the Capitol and all the museums. Owners were immediately responsive to any messages we sent, they were very descriptive in instructions on how to access the property, and even gave us the access details to the on-site parking while we were in the middle of DC traffic en route to the site! If you're ever looking for a place to stay while in DC either as a work-trip or a vacation like ours, we'd recommend giving this spot a good look! We're glad we did :)

Apartment was just what we needed

Great apartment for 2 people. Loved the Keurig coffee supplies provided and there were plenty of kitchen tools etc. Easy 10-12 min walk to Metro. Parking space was very convenient but we have a mini van and it was really tough to get parked! Giant grocery close by, yummy gelato store right there too. Try JoJo Restaurant and Bar as well as Ella’s Wood Fired Pizza kitchen. Excellent communication with host.

Great basement apartment in DC

The property was great - very clean. Plenty of room for a couple. It was just me for a work trip, so I did not spend any time there during the day. I had to check in/arrive late at night, and it was very hard to see where to retrieve the key and use it to unlock two doors to the apartment. Once in, I felt better doing it the second night, but still needs better lighting outside. The only thing that's good to know is there is no door to the bedroom - it opens to the living area. Again, plenty of room w/a living room, bedroom w/desk and work area, spacious bathroom, and kitchen with bar. The property owner/manager was very responsive.

Beware of being ripped off!!

There was nothing particularly fancy about it, but we found this to be a conveniently located place with reasonably comfortable amenities-except for one. Only one key was provided, which was a hassle for the two of us and one of the factors that led us to lose the key. After looking everywhere for the key, we reported this loss to the host who immediately solved the problem by letting us know that there was a second key in a second lockbox. However, we were shocked to learn two weeks later that the host charged us SEVERAL HUNDRED dollars for the lost key! We feel very ripped off and highly recommend you avoid this host!

Many issues! Lacking in many areas!

Upon arrival the back gate slammed shut into our new car causing considerable damage to our vehicle. Then our code would not work to open the lock to get into the house. After 1 hour the door was remotely opened for us. I went back and forth with property manager for another hour to make sure we had a code that would allow us access during our stay. He kept sending us the same instructions many times that did not work. Finally, we called the main office of the rental. I was told after 30 more minutes that the codes were overloaded in the lock and had to be reset. Took 2 hours to get this lock issue rectified. The next day we found out that there was a tech coming to fix the ice machine that we weren't told about until 45 minutes before he arrived. With this we missed our first tour because we couldn't leave our pup in the house with a stranger coming in.We rented for 8 days, the unit was not prepared for a long term renter:2 coffee cups, 4 bowls, 3 glasses, 3 wine glasses, 3 salad plates and one large plate. We were constantly having to wash dishes to keep them up. 1 good frying pan (other 2 had buildup on them), 1/4 full of a 'small' dish soap bottle (for 8 days), Kuerig leaked (needed constant wipe down), no cleaning supplies. Fire and police dept across the street, constant alarms all night. Exterior littered.I was asked if there was anything special we would like during our stay. I asked for Christmas decorations, there were none.Horrible Stay!!!!

The stay was Capitol

Our VRBO was clean, comfortable and so nicely decorated. The place has a great kitchen, and very comfortable bed. Communication with Louis was consistent and easy. We would definitely stay again.

Great City Staycation

Very nice place, walking distance to downtown DC and really beautiful apartment. Appreciated it being pet friendly as well, a huge selling point.

Visiting Family

My wife and I stayed at this property for 5 nights during a recent trip visiting our daughter. The apartment was easy to access and immaculate when we arrived. We took advantage of the parking place behind the unit which we accessed through a narrow alley way on the side of the building. It was very nice to have an off street location to leave our car. The apartment is in a great location and provided easy access to our daughter in Columbia Heights, Tourist attractions, Georgetown and the Kennedy Center. All within 2 miles of the apartment. We took advantage of Uber and Lyft to get around town since our car was safely parked. The property manager/owner was very responsive to email inquiries we had prior and during our stay. My wife and I were very happy with the accommodations and would highly recommend the apartment for short or longer term stays. We plan on going back during our next visit.
