The cabin is beautiful and very well stocked. It is actually a couple blocks from any beach access and neighbors are proud of the fact it is "private property" beach access across the street when asked. Aside from that we had an amazing stay.

Higgins Lake family trip!

Check in was super easy!We walked into a very cute and very clean cottage. Our family of 3 and a dog were very comfortable and happy using the Robbins Cottage as a home base. The back yard is very nice and the front porch is perfect for morning coffee and reading. The neighborhood is so cute and everyone is really really friendly. We were here to see friends who have a cottage a few minutes walk away and spent most of our time on the beautiful lake. The public access to the lake down the road is small but was perfect for putting in a kayak!The kitchen is well appointed, the beds and couches are comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower is good. We really hope to be back next summer!

We enjoyed our stay quite a bit. Communication with the owners was quick, checkin and check out was seamless. It was nice to have access to a full kitchen and laundry room. We were a bit hot without AC, but that’s just us being nitpicky. We rented a pontoon from B&B marina across the lake, and returned it to the marina at night. We didn’t get much use out of the dock access, mainly because we rented the pontoon and didn’t need to. Overall, We highly recommend this rental!

Higgins Holiday

We had a lovely stay at this cute little cottage. The kitchen was stocked very well, the beds were comfortable. Enjoyed the privacy of the fire pit each night. Other members of our family had a house across the lake with a dock, so we were able to keep our boat in the water. I would highly recommend this rental!

Perfect week near Higgins

This quaint, clean cottage was such a relaxing place to spend a few days. Our adult kids said that the kitchen was well appointed with everything they needed. Big fridge came in handy! We’ll rent again for sure! Thanks Rachel!

Fall weekend on Higgins Lake

Wonderful fall weekend get away up North on Higgins Lake. Cottage is fully equipped, nice clean home, comfortable beds and family room, nice fire pit and chairs. Close to community dock to watch sunset and launch kayaks. Great street to walk with views of lake. Would definitely stay here again!

Vacation at Higgins

Nice location and nice cottage. The bathroom is small and could use an upgrade; we purchased a bath mat after slipping in the tub and bruising my legs.

Cozy cottage right across from the lake

The cottage was cute and in a great location. The kitchen was well equipped and the complimentary coffee and tea was a nice suprise. We had a small hiccup when we first checked in as the property had not been turned over from the previous renters, but Rachel responded promptly and the cleaning service arrived within the hour.

Mini getaway

Area was great. House was nice and loved the yard. Great open kitchen and fire pit bbq in the backyard. Water access was very small and no place for my husband and I to sit while kids swimmed. Not huge deal as we drove to the beach daily. (8 mins away)

Up North Vacation

This cottage was the perfect spot for us to stay while being at Higgins Lake for a wedding. The 3 bedrooms worked for us as we had my parents and our toddler so all of us had our own separate space. I was a bit concerned about not having air conditioning during a high 80's weekend, but the cottage stayed cool all day and night! Definitely would come back for another Higgins Lake vacation!

Very quiet, peaceful setting. Attention to cleanliness and maintenance is evident. Called VRBO Help line several times with questions and wait time was always under 2 minutes. Will check this property out again in 2025. Very satisfied. Greg and Diane.

Not so relaxing getaway

My spouse and I have had a very stressful summer. This trip to Higgins Lake was the one thing we were looking forward to. Unfortunately, this listing was extremely misleading. Yes, the house and neighborhood were very clean but it WAS NOT on the lake. The owners originally listed that the property was on the lake and had beach access. Wrong. The lake is a fun 5 minute walk to a dock with no beach. The dock is crowded and there is no where to sit/ relax. Also, you cannot drive and park at the lake entrance so have fun lugging a kayak, cooler and beach bags down the road while cars and golf carts pass by. Needless to say, this was not relaxing and not on the lake. The owners will update the website after complaints so beware. They also fail to respond to you when you have questions/ concerns. Not happy and would like a refund.

Great host

Had a problem getting there in the middle of a winter storm and the host was SUPER helpful - way beyond expectations. Very convenient for XC ski headquarters and would stay there again.
