The Mill

This family project is a space of happiness, freedom, creativity and contemplation for adults and children.

The House

Located in a green space of 3.5 hectares, the main house has been tastefully renovated and can accommodate up to 10 people. A section of the water mill wheel, which operated until the 1940s, has been preserved and is visible in the park.

On the ground floor is a friendly kitchen-dining room, fully equipped with a Lacanche stove and an English-style pantry. Gourmets and bon vivants will share happy moments around the large oak table. The upper floor is completed by a living room/library and a bright entrance hall, which includes a shoe room, a laundry room and a toilet.

On the first floor, the master bedroom has a dressing room and an adjoining bathroom where you can enjoy a moment of relaxation in the shower/hammam cabin. The large bright living room offers a peaceful setting to gather around the fireplace, read, write, listen to music, have a drink, work, daydream. The upper floor is completed by a toilet.

On the second floor, you will find a double bedroom, accompanied by a shower room and adjoining toilet. The next bedroom and its bunk bed (3 people) will delight children. The last bedroom is equipped with a double bed (which can be separated into two single beds), if necessary a third bed can be added. These last two bedrooms share a bathroom.

The park

3.5 hectares in a natural setting rich in surprises with woods, meadows, waterways, orchards and vegetable gardens.

You can visit the residents of our henhouse and collect their eggs, meet our Ouessant sheep or pet our children's rabbits and guinea pigs. The luckiest will see deer, roe deer, hares and hedgehogs.

A selection of fresh, organic and seasonal vegetables and fruits is available on request, to be picked in the vegetable garden and orchard. Our gardener will be delighted to involve you in his various tasks or to introduce you to wild plants with therapeutic properties.

Children

Children are free and safe.

They can have fun on the treetop adventure course, which even includes a small zip line! A trampoline and swings are also available to them. The most daring will set up their quarters in an old building in the middle of the woods, the Witch's House.

Drawing, painting and sculpture materials and a small puppet theater are available for creative family moments.
A Stella table football, an old pool table, cards and various board games will allow children (and adults!) to continue playing in the warmth of the house.

Sports and Relaxation Facilities

The property is equipped with a 15m heated swimming pool, a grass tennis court and a bowling green (yes, pétanque is a sport!) - all year round.

Bikes, roller boards, yoga accessories, TRX equipment, Badminton are also available.

Walk around the Mill

The mill is located in a hilly region. Various walks or bike rides are possible.

Visit the charming surrounding villages, stop at the farm shops, bakeries and bistros.

There are several equestrian centres in the area. A stud farm run by a friend of the owners offers horse riding just a ten-minute bike ride away.

Golf Robert Hersant is a ten-minute drive away.

Explore the area

Le Moulin is at the crossroads of the Yvelines, Eure and Eure-et-Loir departments and is thus at the meeting point of three regions: Ile-de-France, Normandy and Centre.

Access by car is quick from Paris (1h10), Houdan (20 minutes) and Giverny (30 minutes).

The train is a convenient option with two stations nearby: Bréval (6Km) and Houdan (18Km), served respectively by Paris Saint-Lazare and Paris Montparnasse (50 minutes, frequent trains).

Visit the magnificent Château d’Anet, a jewel of the French Renaissance and home of Diane de Poitiers, a 15-minute drive away. The small medieval cities of Montchauvet, Pacy-sur-Eure and Montfort-l’Amaury are also nearby.

Thoiry Zoo is a 25-minute drive away, Monet’s house and gardens in Giverny are 30 minutes away. Rouen and Chartres are an hour’s drive away.

Many activities (kayaking, wakeboarding, jetskiing, paintball, laser tag, archery) are available in the area

And if you feel like breathing sea air, you can easily spend the day on the coast of Normandy.
