Welcome to lake life! I have been coming to The Shores since I was a kid, and I loved it so much that I now bought a condo with my family to enjoy as well as to share the love of beautiful Lake Erie with you.
The condo includes 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a sleeper sofa, and sleeps 6 comfortably. There is a fully equipped kitchen as well. Relax on one of 3 private balconies in your condo or venture down to the pool, hot tub and private beach. Charcoal grills and outdoor gas fire pits make for a lovely evening dinner. We are walking distance to an amazing public playground, the Port Clinton Lighthouse, a large public beach and a short drive to the Miller Ferry, Jet Express, the downtown area of Port Clinton and Cedar Point.

Cookware and utensils in the kitchen was terrible, not in shape, plates and bowl had hundreds of scratches on it looks like many years old, bathroom towels were folded wet!Good place to stay but not worth for the price they are charging. We should get portion of charge back for the inconvenience.

Perfect location

We planned a trip to include cedar point, put in bay and the African safari but with the potential for some rough weather we were able to spend a day at great wolf lodge on a day pass instead of the island. This spot was perfectly located for a TON of great experiences for the whole family. The on site pool and private beach areas were amazing as well.

Cute condo and grounds

Condo was relatively clean and very well stocked. Could use some updating and fresh paint. It is up 3 short flights of stairs so a little tiring if you have a lot of luggage. Couches and beds were comfortable. Plenty of room to relax! Beach area is small but there was never anyone else using it while we were there.

Great for a family

This condo was the best stocked condo we have ever stayed at. The owners thought of everything making it feel more homey. The carpet needs a deep cleaning or needs to be replaced. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable condo in a convenient location with great amenities.

Quiet Stay

Nice quiet place to stay. We enjoyed the hot tub. We found the pool too cold. This was due to all the cool days previously. The condominiums were near the city park which we liked. The beds were comfortable. Did not like bunk beds in the one room. At our age even with stairs to climb up. My youngest sister found them at a disadvantage. We liked the fully supplied kitchen.

Great family vacation!

The Shores was an amazing property to stay at. So close everything. The private beach was on the smaller side but still perfect with larger public beaches very close by. The pool and hot tub were a HUGE hit. You can tell that the board members care deeply about the property. The condo itself was very spacious and fit our family of 4 with room to spare. The decor and fixtures were dated but the kids loved the queen bunk beds! The only bummer was that the carpets looked very dirty and just made everything else feel not a clean as it was. We appreciated the property manager Nick for being so flexible and accommodating!

This is a very large and comfortable condo! I really enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and beach access that was only a short walk from the actual condo. My kids also enjoyed walking to the ice cream shop next door for an after-dinner treat. The building was quiet and others staying there were polite and courteous. The beds were comfortable, although the one in the main bedroom.With all that being said, there were a few maintenance/cleaning issues inside the condo, but nothing that was a dealbreaker. There was a large spot on the ceiling and corner of the main bedroom by the A/C unit that was very dusty, dirty, and had spiderwebs. There was also similar area on the bedroom balcony right around the A/C unit. The oven was filthy and almost smoked us out of the condo when I turned it on. Handle on the oven door was loose. I would recommend that the replace the measuring cups and spoons in the kitchen since the labels are completely worn-off and un-readable. The trash can in the bathroom smelled like dirty diapers when I went to take the trash out. It has clearly absorbed the smell from past guests because my teens are way past the diaper stage of life. I would still stay here again. The host very helpful when I had issues finding the parking pass and also when we had some internet issues and I feel like the condo was a good price.

Condo was nice and beds were comfortable, there were alot of ants, but it was also rainy, so that wasn't unusual to me. Nick the owner is very responsive, has great communication and is kind. Just something that should be noted, The condo HOA has extremely strict rules on the occupancy of 6, whether they are sleeping there or not. We wanted to play games with my brother that evening and his family who lives close that came to meet up with us Saturday for the day. We were not allowed due to one resident who was only there for a few days on the weekend. She was very nosey and concerned with our coming and going. They kept watching us very attentively while getting in and out of our cars and reported us to the HOA. We had 2 adults and 2 kids with us for 30 minutes or less, who went in with us to use the bathroom around 5PM between our family activities at nearby beaches, etc. Within a few hours of that I had a text from the owner Nick saying we were reported having over the occupancy of 6. I spoke with Nick about it, who again was very kind. This is not his fault, but still a bit frustrating. I asked if we would be able to play games (9 people total), and the text back was HOA said 6 people max, so no. The hotel next door, let us play games in their lobby that evening, since we couldn't do it at the condo. Clinton Inn and Suites is where we did that, they were very nice about it. It would be a good idea to have the strict rules stated, so nobody has any issues.

The condo was just as advertised. Clean well appointed. Bedrooms were nice. Kitchen was great. It was nice that so many condiments and spices were left. Complex was wonderful. Pool and hot tub were perfect. The beach area although small was really nice. Tennis court was a nice bonus. Close to everything you want to do. We’d definitely come back

Great place!

The condo was clean and comfortable. My kids really enjoyed the pool and beach. The grounds were well taken care of. I would note that the condo is on the second floor of the building with no elevator so it might be difficult for older adults.

Our stay

The overall experience was nice and we all enjoyed the amenities as well as the home feel it gave us during our short stay. I would definitely do it all over again for sure it was a time to remember and the feeling of staying where we did because of Nick felt like coming home at night so Thank You once again Nick.
