The cottage was nice, right across from the beach, had a nice sunroom to sit in and enjoy a bit of a view. It had everything you need for the kitchen, including some spices and pasta. Bed was comfortable and it was a cozy little place!! We would go back!

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage and cannot recommend it enough. The location was absolutely perfect for us, placing us close to our daughter as well as convenient grocery stores, restaurants, and the beach.The space was plenty spacious for the two of us, and we (and our cat!) especially loved spending time in the sunroom. We also really appreciated the practical touches, like the washer/dryer combination and a kitchen that was well-stocked with all the essentials, though we ended up eating out most of the time to enjoy the local area.Marie was a fantastic host and remained attentive to our needs throughout our visit. We also loved the thoughtful additions of beach reads and puzzles, which were perfect for passing the time on rainy days. It was a lovely getaway!

Lovely little beach cottage

Lovely little beach cottage with deeded beach access, just the right size for two. Great neighborhood. Marie was delightful and a very attentive and responsive host.

Unacceptable

For some reason the owner considers it is acceptable to have sewage flow onto the back lawn after a shower or use of washing machine she told us this had happened to prior renters and she told wait and it will sink in the ground. The smell was horrible on the back porch and when the wind shifted it was also in the front porch. After complaining she did have it pumped out as a temporary fix. Also the cottage was located right behind a falling down shack which was not shown in the photos. The property was misrepresented. A partial refund was requested and denied.

On arrival you advised you had just signed another rental for the same month for you to stay at with your daughter. A week later, after showers, washing machine, all being run you advised that there was some water on the lawn. We witnessed it resolved, and I asked you to let me know if it happened again. I stopped by to check outside the house 3/week and never saw anything - in fact I didn't need to mow the lawn for two weeks. I saw you in person, emailed you to check in, and you said "everything was okay." The 25th of your month stay, you emailed there was a smell; I had it pumped immediately - it usually needs once/5 years, and it had only been 18 months. I noted the other time there was an issue was after double the typical water usage. I apologized there was a problem. Your request for a 25% refund was unreasonable. You responded that you would be staying an extra night, without paying that night nor a pet fee. The upright, vacant, old shed has survived hurricanes, is not part of the rental, and I said I was in the process of permitting to rebuild it. You spent every day enjoying the house, yard and beach, and sitting outside. I know the house was to your liking as you remarked it was clean, comfortable - as described. I wish you well with your daughter at your other rental.

Relaxing and so clean.better than description!

We will definitely rent this house again. The lication is perfect an beds are comfy. The beach is very close and the house has a terrific floor plan. Porches front and back and ceiling fans every room. Yea-!!!

House was impeccably clean and nice and cool when we walked in. Perfect location.

Perfect location right across the street from our private beach. Nice, clean cottage. Air conditioning was great! A little book with local restaurants, tips and the wifi code as well as a few good fry pans would have made it perfect .

Thank you for coming with your family. I'm glad your friends could come and you enjoyed your week at the beach, bonfire and barbeque. I guess you missed during my meet n greet and tour, when I gave the wifi password and pointed that it was written down n the basket under the TV, with remotes, manuals, restaurant fliers and magazine of local spots. I wish I knew you wanted new fry pans - I could have brought them when I brought a new screen! Well thanks for alerting me, Take care.

Peaceful, Quiet, Enjoyable, Relaxing

Property was just what we needed for extended stay to visit kids, grandkids, and family. Very peaceful, quiet, enjoyable, and relaxing, especially the "front" room. The deck in the back overlooking the marsh land was also very enjoyable and provided a completely different perspective. Owner was extremely cooperative and accommodating to our needs.

Location, location, location . . .

. . . and a very helpful host! The spacious cottage is right across from the beach, with terrific views, including lots of big windows, and Marie was very responsive when we needed some attention upon moving in. The air conditioning was great, and there were plenty of nice restaurants close by for takeout and otherwise. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.

Better than the pictures

We had a wonderful week at Marie’s house! The pictures don’t do it justice. We comfortably had 3 adults, 2 kids, and a dog stay there and would host dinners for an additional 2 adults and 2 kids. It never felt crowded as the layout is great with multiple seating areas. Loved the added amenities like dishwasher and laundry detergent. And the AC was a godsend during the mid-90 degree days! You won’t regret your stay here.

Great stay

Terrific host - responsive, friendly, honest Deciding what to bring? Don't bother, everything you need is there. Everything very clean - house, furniture, sheets, towels...all clean and in good shape.

Great time!

The house was very nice and extremely clean and fully stocked. The house came with lots of extras making the stay and packing easy. Great location--highly recommend.

My Happy Place.

My family enjoyed this beach house! It was comfortable, roomy, private and the view from the deck watching the sunsets was amazing. The beach was just across the street and also private. Parking was not a problem. The neighbors were very friendly . The owner was very nice to deal with and it was a comfort to know that she was available if there were any questions. I would rent again in a heartbeat. Thank you Marie.

My husband, dog, and I enjoyed our stay here very much. The kitchen has nice dishes and flatware, the bed is made up with colorful sheets, and for me the enclosed front porch was the perfect reading room. The house had a lovely calming effect on me, just what I needed for a week's getaway!

Charming cottage across a quiet street from the beach.

Lovely, clean cottage steps from the beach and close to all of the area's best seafood restaurants. Grocery store just around the corner. Loved the location, and the cottage had everything we needed.

Love it!

My wife and I (and our dogs!) have been staying here for a week every summer for many years. We love it and that's why we keep coming back. It's so peaceful and quiet and we are truly able to "refuel" during our stays there. We haven't even looked to stay anywhere else since coming upon this find! We'll definitely be back...

What a beautiful spot!

I stayed in this house for the 2015-16 academic year. It is an absolutely beautiful spot and a terrific location - sunrises in the morning, sunsets in the evening, right across the street from the Sound - and yet only a few minutes from shopping, restaurants etc. The house is spotless, comfortable, and very well equipped with everything you'd need, and Marie, the owner, is extremely helpful and kind.

Perfect Relaxing Vacation

This was our first time renting a beach cottage for our family vacation. The experience we had with Marie, the house, the beach, the community and everything else was absolutely perfect! It started with a warm friendly greeting from Marie. Then the cottage came with all the amenities listed and then some! It was so nice having 2 different areas for 2 groups of people to do different things, watch different shows, etc. The cleanliness and open floor plan was so nice. The beds were very comfortable and abundance of pillows and blankets was perfect! Central air was such a nice bonus. When it was cool we loved all the windows and fans for plenty of fresh air. The private scenic view from the back porch was priceless and where we spent quite a bit of time watching wildlife. Three Ospreys perched and slept every night in a tree 20 ft. from the porch. All the different birds, squirrels and even some rabbits were so relaxing to watch. In addition to the beautiful direct view of the sunset. The closeness of the ocean was incredible. It was so relaxing sitting on the private beach at any hour and there not be people everywhere you look. Our 3 year old had a wonderful time collecting shells and pebbles and building sandcastles while we played with the sand beneath our toes. What was so thoughtful was that there were chairs and some toys on the beach, which means not having to bring ours back and forth! The neighborhood seemed so family oriented and quiet we did not have to be bothered by noisy young folks partying. Anything we needed to run out and get was conveniently close and easy to get to. This was a perfect, quiet, relaxing family vacation spot. Marie was so thoughtful in every way of prepping this cottage for renters! I would rate her and this cottage a 6 out of 5 stars if I could.

A great vacation place!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. The house came with everything we could have needed and then some. I never expected a dishwasher while on vacation! The beach was directly across the street and the marsh in back was full of wild life that we enjoyed watching. I would definitely return to this property if the occasion arose!
