French Quarter Home, One Block to Frenchmen St, Private Courtyard

Our sophisticated shotgun style home is conveniently located near the French Quarter & only one block to Frenchmen St/Esplanade Ave; highly walkable, fun, active area! Unwind in your private courtyard with the sound of Jazz bands in the distance. Several parking options in the area; free, metered/paid. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee you will find free parking due to the activity of the French Quarter.

Original pine floors, exposed brick and high ceilings throughout.
Upon booking you will have full, private access to the main portion of the home which includes all of the following: 2 private bedrooms each with a king bed, bathroom which is located in the common area and has walk-in shower (no tub). Living room and kitchen that is fully stocked with cooking essentials and coffee/creamer for your morning cup of Joe! There is a washer and dryer inside the home you are welcome to use (detergent is provided). The living room and each bedroom have Smart TVs.

When booking our home you will not only be in an ideal location with both Frenchmen St and Esplanade Ave being only ONE BLOCK away, but you will have your very own private courtyard to relax and unwind in after a long day of sightseeing and beignet indulging! Let the distant sounds of Jazz bands have you saying "Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler!"

More about the area: We are situated on Royal St just a few doors down from "R Bar" and Royal Sushi. With so many restaurant and bar options all within walking distance you won't lack entertainment options! Snug Harbor, Port of Call, The Maison, The Spotted Cat, Three Muses, Marigny Brasserie, Royal Sushi, Horn's Eatery, Italian Barrel, Balcony Music Club (Just to name a few! ). Along with the outdoor French Market, Decatur St and the Riverfront Streetcar being only 4 blocks away. Bourbon St is 2.5 blocks away and then 4 more blocks down Bourbon to the action/nightlife!

Due to the activity of the area, the front bedroom may experience street noise, for this reason earplugs are provided for light sleepers.

Owners unit is connected to property but is locked off. You will have full private access to the rental

Perfection

This house was centrally located to so much stuff, and it was easy to get around ftom. The house is just lovely. It's homey and comfortable. The three bedrooms were perfect for our girl trip, one of us likes a little more privacy and her iwn space so she took the back bedroom and it was perfect. The back shower was amazing! I didn't use the other one. It was qmazing not having to worry about a key because the house has coded locks. We all love everything about this place and would really like to never leave it! Plenty of space here, all the amenities you could need. Exactly what we were expecting for a place in New Orleans. It beautifully maintained. Excellent hot water. We all loved it here!!

The perfect spot

We were in NOLA celebrating a friends birthday and were very happy with this space. The location was great - easy to get to restaurants and nightlife and shops. The apartment itself was a very nice size, very clean, and quirky filled with cool art and furniture. We enjoyed the common areas - living room, kitchen, and outdoors - and easily slept 5 in the three bedrooms. The front bedroom is right on the street so don’t put your light sleeper in that room! I would stay here again the next time I find myself in New Orleans, and highly recommend for a group.

Mini French Quarter!

We absolutely loved our stay. The place was beautiful and the host was quickly responsive. When we noticed the coffee pot was dysfunctional, we had a replacement within the hour! It was the PERFECT getaway for a group of friends. We were far enough away from the French Quarter to get some sleep and chill on the patio but close enough to walk to the action. And within the surrounding couple of blocks to the home, there were wonderful bars, restaurants and shops… a mini French Quarter just outside the French Quarter. We will definitely be back. It had everything we needed and more!

Royal St Haven

My friends and I stayed here no it was a great location for all of us. We did not have a car and all the spots you wanted to be were in walking distance. This is a great house with. Lot of character be charm.

Memorable week on Royal St

The property is located steps from Frenchman St and a couple blocks from all the action in the French Quarter. Chef Tiger cooked up a storm and fed us the best food of the whole trip Saturday night. Highly recommend having him take you on a Creole journey. The outdoor patio is a perfect space for a night cap or to sip your coffee in the morning.this property is all you want when visiting NOLA. Thanks Chef Tiger!

Birthday Weekend with the Girls

Had an amazing time in New Orleans and in this house. The host and the owner are both very responsive. They were nice and very accommodating to us during our stay. We were able to leave our luggage a couple extra hours after check out. They house was very nice and inviting. Bigger than expected. Walking distance to everything. Will visit again when I'm back in New Orleans.

Amazing location and great hosts

The property managers were super helpful and quick to respond to all of our questions before and during our stay. There was a ton of space for our group of 6 and everything was super clean. The location is unbeatable with easy access to the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street while still feeling safe. Highly recommend booking a dinner with Chef Tiger as well as the meal was one of the highlights of our trip!

Perfection!!

We had a WONDERFUL time in this lovely New Orleans home! The proximity to everything made our stay just perfect - the park, authentic neighborhood strolls, amazing restaurants, music, the local artist market - all just steps outside our door. Within a few minutes walk is the fun and bustling French Market, with Jackson Square and the Riverfront just beyond. We didn't want to leave!!

Perfect NOLA Getaway!

This home was a perfect home base for all activities. So close to great music on Frenchman Street and the French Quarter. Home was clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked. We felt very safe walking in the area. Best part of the stay was meeting Chef Tiger on our first night for a Five Course Creole Cooking experience... amazing food, great family and New Orleans history. Thanks for letting us enjoy this beautiful home!

An amazing New Orleans weekend stay

A group of six of us stayed the weekend in this wonderful home. It's location is perfect, just a short walk from Frenchman St and all it has to offer. The heart of the French Quarter is only a 10 minute walk away. The home is laid out very well among the three bedrooms with plenty of space to socialize in the living room. The rear bedroom has a nice small outdoor space perfect for early morning coffee and a book. The rear bedroom also has an amazing top down rain fall shower that every guest should use at least once! If you want to get outside and enjoy the weather there is an amazing courtyard and table where we spent a large amount of time. Our trip was such a great experience due to the location and quality of this property that I plan to book this rental again when we come back to visit the city.

Awesome place, awesome location

Wonderful place in the perfect location. Unique, cool, comfortable. Loved our stay at this property and in New Orleans. The agent gave me all the info we needed in advance (access info, wifi password, instructions, etc.). All good. Place was super clean, roomy and well cared for. The two king beds were comfortable, the showers hot, and the wifi nice and fast. TVs in every room. The best part was the location. We were a block off Frenchman's Street - which for us, was huge. That meant the best music in the area. There were several nice restaurants within a block or two of the location. Loved it all. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Hidden Jewel, Frenchmen Action right around the Block

Perfect location to enjoy New Orleans Frenchmen Street just around the corner. Great home, luxurious bed linens, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen as promised. The outside private garden is perfect for late night drinks and conversation. Great dual central air/ heat works very good. TVs in every room to watch movies or simply turn on your favorite Jazz music. We also reserved a cooking class/ experience with Chef Tiger. Our friends from New York loved this southern cooking experience, complete with Jazz Music and learning from the best chef. So celebrate and enjoy in this complete VRBO experience. We will be back soon!!! Thanks again.

4 Days in New Orleans

If you are looking for a great place to stay in New Orleans, book this lovely home. Great jazz is right around the corner on Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter is walking distance down Royal Street. The pictures on line of the unit are absolutely correct and the property manager Christina and the owner of the unit were wonderful to work with and answered all of my questions. The home is just so cozy and welcoming, one night it was really raining and it was wonderful to enjoy staying in and watching football in our "home". When we come back again to New Orleans, and we will, we would come right back here!
