Welcome to the Lake House where the sunrises are breathtaking and the days seem to slow down.

For special call 715 209 150 4 This house is perfect for large gatherings. Located 9 1/2 miles from town , 3 miles from the town park, 300 ft from the lake, and a lifetime away from reality.

This huge home is furnished for the complete family or group vacation and could very well be one of the best places on the island. We are located on the south side of the North end of the island.

Upper levels have four bedrooms, two of which are suites! Three bathrooms, full open floor plan kitchen, vaulted living room with leather furniture,and a hand hewn log interior.

The second level deck has amazing views of the lake!! Lower level has its own entrance, two bedrooms, full bath, kitchen, dining, living room with comfy futon and leather chairs. A patio area under the second level deck with a nice view of the lake and pond. With 300ft of lakeshore/beach and surrounded by five peaceful acres to enjoy and lots of sun and room for fun. Come stay and enjoy the beauty of Lake Superior.

Madeline Island is a wonderful place and this home is a perfect site to enjoy the island. The home has plenty of space and a very functional gathering space in the converted garage for drinks, pool and watching the game. We enjoyed our stay.

Relaxation on the Island

This is a lovely, quiet and spacious place to stay at. We enjoyed our time at the home very much and would absolutely return.

Beautiful & Relaxing

We had a great time staying at this location. The fall weather was nice and cool and the scenery was beautiful. The house was very nice and clean with lots of rooms and things to do. Would reccommend!

Amazing house in beautiful location

We loved everything about our stay - such a great experience. The house was beautiful and checked all of our boxes plus more. Bonus being able to sit on the deck and see the lake. I can’t wait to bring my family back.

Working with Clair was a very disappointing experience. The property itself is a large home that comfortably accommodates up to 16 guests; however, the pricing structure and communication throughout our stay were frustrating.The base rate is listed for two guests, with an additional nightly charge for each additional person. When our group size changed, I paid the additional fees in advance as requested. I also communicated that some guests would be leaving early, but I was not offered a refund or adjustment for the unused portion of their stay.Additionally, several of the basement bedrooms were very cold at night, and the mini-split heating system in that area was not functioning. When I brought this to the host’s attention, I was told that the temperature had reached 80 degrees during the day, but the heating issue was never resolved.Most disappointing was the communication. I found the host’s responses to be unnecessarily rude and unhelpful, which made an already frustrating situation more difficult. While the property itself has potential, the experience with the host and the lack of responsiveness to issues during our stay would make me hesitant to return.

Great place for a multi-family group

This multi-level house/cabin works well for family and friends to gather on the island. Lots of room inside and outside for potluck dinners and game nights. The basement 2br apartment was especially nice for our son's family with a toddler. The kitchen is well equipped and has excellent appliances. Claire was a great host and responded immediately to all questions. There is excellent storage and lots of refrigerator and freezer space for your island stay,

Our family tradition continues

This was our 6th trip to this home over more than a decade. It was great to see all the improvements Clair has done in her first year as owner. The huge deck is beautiful and the remodeled kitchen served our group of 13 well.

Girls wedding retreat

Clair's home is spectacular. It was a perfect set up for our group. We were all able to cook, eat, relax and sleep comfortably. The views are undeniable and the distance to town was perfect. We would rent from Clair/this home again and again. The communication pre-stay, ease of check in / check out made all the difference. It was a truly perfect getaway.

Great place for family fun!

Wonderful place to stay on the island. Plenty of space for our family and friends to spend time together and enjoy the many amenities that the house offers. Badminton. Pool, paddle boarding and fire pit to name a few. The house had everything we needed and plenty of refrigerator space and ice. Clair was very responsive. We can’t wait to come back to the island next year!

Spacious House on Madeline Island Shoreline

This spacious house was the perfect fit for our family group of 10 adults and 4 grandkids. The beach was more accessible than we expected with a long sandy beach with some rocks and beautiful clear water. The view from the huge deck was amazing. The master suite was excellent with 4 others that were private, and one more a walk-through. The open kitchen and living room were spacious and pool room with refrigerators downstairs were a nice perk. Another perk was the presence of horses outside behind a fence. Finally, I must add that the owners were very responsive to a couple of important issues that arose during our stay; they fixed them right away.

Quiet Lake Getaway

The house and property are beautiful. It is located right along the shore of Lake Superior and is quiet and peaceful. The house is large and hadn't enough space to easily accommodate our party of 10. We enjoyed using the kayaks and paddleboards in the lake. The full moon rise over the lake was amazing! We would definitely recommend it. A few suggestions: -bring beach towels -the grill uses charcoal

Best place ever!

I rented this property for one night for a surprise for my wife on our 10th wedding anniversary. Clair is SO awesome and everything was smooth on check in. The place is GORGEOUS. The deck over-looking the lake is stunning, and the fountain with a family of geese are fun to watch :) Literally didn't have a single bug which was amazing. We danced to our wedding song on the deck, had some (a lot) of wine, and even watched a friendly little muskrat swimming in the pond :) Everything in the house is fantastic. Tons of towels, a pool in the garage with a bar, great firepit, and TONSW of space. We only had my wife and I but didn't want to leave in the morning. Thank you Clair for renting this out it is such a great memory! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Nice, clean large fun house

We had a great time, the added bonus of the game room in the garage was a blast. We really struggled with the flies and the geese (kind of scared to go into the yard when they were out and lots of goose poop) but there's nothing to be done about that! We just walked the long way around to the beach. The only downside is that the 6th bedroom that was listed was more of an alcove that two other bedrooms had to walk thru. Would be good for anyone that is a hard sleeper (of course none of us are). But otherwise truly enjoyed our stay! Claire was super responsive and helpful and we felt well taken care of. Well appointed kitchen, plenty of seating, love the new big deck...

Enjoyable Lakehouse Stay

Our family of 15 people had a fantastic time at the Lakehouse. The property was incredibly spacious and equipped with everything we needed. The highlight was undoubtedly the huge deck that offered breathtaking views of the lake. The picturesque scenery added an extra touch of magic to our stay. The kids were overjoyed with the opportunity to make s'mores around the bonfire and play the ring hook game. These activities kept them entertained and created lasting memories for all of us. Additionally, taking the ferry to the island was a fun and unique experience. The island itself was incredibly peaceful during our stay, allowing us to truly relax and unwind. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Clair for hosting us. Her hospitality and attention to detail made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you once again for providing us with such a memorable experience at the Lakehouse.

Superior Experience

The house was very accommodating to the 10 adults 2 children we had in our group. Main level bedrooms were a bit quirky with the layout of the 3 bedrooms. You have to walk through a bedroom to get to the other 2 and they share a bathroom. It was great for the larger family we had and we put the children in the walk through bedroom. The apartment with the 2 bedrooms and 1 bath downstairs was great to have their own privacy area and the walk out patio. The garage area that has the pool table and a huge bar (Not showed in the pictures) was great for everyone to hang out at night and you can open the garage doors during the day to have a great play area and enjoy the great big yard and pond. Kids loved the pond for the frogs. Paddle boards they provide were awesome some have never did before and it was a great experience. Make sure they are aired to their proper inflation before taking them out. The main deck was huge and had great views. During the day we had some hornets flying around more than we would of loved so it limited us hanging out on the deck. The beach access is not as easy as the pictures show, they might be a bit dated and I’m sure the beach changes every year. It was a bit steep to get down to the water and more rocks then sand. Overall great experience with the home and the island would go back for a family trip in the future.

Awesome property with beautiful swimming beach just across the lake. The house was light on supplies (e.g., only one kitchen towel) but the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The only thing to be aware of is one of the bedrooms is an area that you need to walk through to get to other bedrooms so it’s not totally private. But it was fine for our kids! Also probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever had at a VRBO property!

Wedding week!!

Awesome home rental for our family. We had a small wedding on the large deck with stunning views of Lake Superior and Big Bay State Park as a backdrop. The beds were comfortable, the home decor was cozy, and the kitchen was well supplied with pots, dishes, utensils and storage containers for our family meals. The internet was good, the kayaks and stand-up paddle boards were fun to use, however access to the water was difficult. The only 2 complaints are: 1) Only one thermostat controlled the climate for the three floors, causing my 89 year old parents to be cold in the lowest level apartment while the air conditioning was on. 2) Because we turned off the air conditioning on the first day, there were no screens on 2nd and 3rd floor windows so we swatted flies in the house all week.

Beautiful home in perfect location

This is a beautiful home and all the recent remodeling provided all the modern amenities. The lower level of the home has a separate entrance with 2 bedrooms and small kitchen, so would work well for 2 groups. The location of the property is perfect with close proximity to BIg Bay Town Park and the beach area in front of the home is really nice. Access to the beach is a steep but short slope. Two kayaks and paddle boards are available for use. Plenty of space in the yard surrounding the home and within the home itself. Great home for a larger gathering.
