This traditional stone house offers exceptional charm, tranquillity and comfort for your holiday in this magical region of the south of France. The house is set in a huge peaceful garden, filled with native wildflowers, rare orchids and birdsong. Guests have two terraces with seating with beautiful views of the Viaur Valley. The terrace just in front of the house is equipped with a table and seating for six. It is ideal for alfresco dining and has a barbecue.
The living room has a large dining table and views of the garden. The kitchen has exposed stone walls and oak beams, a washing machine, a large fridge and freezer, a microwave and all the necessary equipment and appliances for cooking.
Three large double bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and comfortable beds with luxury mattress toppers. Linen, towels, dish towels and cleaning products are provided. In winter, the wood-burning stove in the living room makes it possible to spend cosy evenings on the sofa by the fire.
The house sits on the edge of a small, cosy village, with a few cafes and a bakery. You have easy access to the supermarket, organic shop and producers' shop. The beautiful historic village of Najac is only a short drive away. The house is ideally located for exploring the rich medieval heritage of the Tarn/Aveyron. The town of Cordes-sur-Ciel is a short drive away and the World Heritage town of Albi can be visited easily in a day.
The countryside is stunningly beautiful, with forests, spectacular gorges and wild swimming in the Viaur River in the summer. There is an extensive network of hiking trails around Najac and in the river gorges.
We love to help our guests explore this beautiful area. We will help you discover the best markets, restaurants, cultural highlights, as well as wild hikes, swimming, cycling and canoeing on the rivers.
