Overall good with a few quirks

Nice house as described in the listing, but the living room/kitchen were tight for our full group to hang out together. Interestingly, the porch and some rooms are tilted. Turns out that half of the houses in Charleston are like that. The guys in our group were bothered by building maintenance things, such as a loose toilet seat and the porch fans not working, but it was clean and my bed was very comfortable. No safety or security issues either. Good walking distance to King St and the bagel shop two blocks down was delicious!

Thank you for choosing us to your stay. I wish you'd contacted us. That way, we'd have had a chance to discuss or respond to your complaints. Had you notified us about these issues while you were in town, our team would have addressed where possible, & some of your frustration might have very easily been remedied. We will inspect the unit so nobody else has a similar experience, though you are the first guest with this specific issue. Thank you for letting us know. I do hope you managed to have a great trip despite some of these issues & should you choose to return to Charleston, Stay Duvet would be happy to host you again at any number of properties here in town. Thanks again!

Overall we had a good time but definitely wasn't expecting the Charlseston lean. Lol. What I mean by that is that throughout the years the house has shifted probably due to hurricanes and from the land being flooded and most houses are like this from my understanding but you have to see it to understand. We laughed so hard for hours and it added to our experience of memories. We had a few hiccups with the house during our stay but management was very responsive and fixed it soon. The downstairs seemed to always be on the hotter side of things and we would go upstairs to cool off oddly. We would stay here again for the memories we created but overall the amount was a lil more than I would have like to pay compared to several other places (in different states)we have stayed. It seemed a lil overpriced just based off of the location I guess.

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review Desiree! We’re glad you had a memorable stay and that our team was able to quickly address the hiccups that came up. We love that the historic character of the home, including the classic Charleston lean, became part of the fun and created some great memories for your group. The lean is found in almost home downtown if you can believe it or not! We also appreciate your feedback and we’ll be sure to share it with our team. We’d be happy to host you again! Met our expectations and more

This property fulfilled our family requirements in all areas. It was a short 5 to 6 minute walk to King street with full access to all bars and restaurants. The place directly next to the house is in the process of being converted to a sandwich shop. A small coffee shop Is also in process of taking over a house two short blocks away. A nice soup shop is 1 1/2 blocks away. The family room area is small for 7 people and there is really no formal dining area except a small table that can be expanded to seat 4 people. House for 7 people was smaller than we would have liked. The bedrooms all have their own baths but they are a bit tight as well. The sounds from the street and the outside seem to permeate the house as the insulation does not block these sounds, but we had no other issues with the neighborhood. House has great access to areas of downtown and the main exit routes to Mt Pleasant. We walked to most places but also took Uber and Lyft for most places near lower end of Charleston. Owners management team were very easy to work with and very accommodating. House was clean and ready for us upon arrival and checkout was very easy. We had a great stay in Charleston.

February Weekend

Property is as described in size and location. But, this neighborhood is questionable. Each night there was someone either on the porch or knocking on the windows. Also, one of our vehicles was broken into. I think the StayDuvet team did a good job in managing the rental but not sure I would stay at this location again.
