No city lights to obscure your spectacular night view of the stars!

Nestled in the towering pines of the Wapiti Meadow Ranch, a horse ranch in the Rockies of Colorado, the Ponderosa Bunkhouse is both secluded and magical. This is a completely remodeled studio apartment with a queen bed for comfort and a full-sized kitchen for function. Charming touches inside add to the rustic feel of the wood ceiling and log beam running throughout. The Pinion Bunkhouse provides all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay while keeping things simple and affordable.

Guests have access to their own Bunkhouse (there are two side-by-side apartments separated by a privacy fence, Pinion Bunkhouse and Ponderosa Bunkhouse), a private patio, and 70 acres that encompass the ranch. The house manual does have the property boundaries and guests are asked to not venture beyond the property.

There is also plenty of space for guests to park a small trailer (bring your ATV or off-road vehicle). Relax, unhook, unwind….no city lights to obstruct your spectacular sky view underneath the towering pines which cast their shadows on the Pinion Bunkhouse.

This is a dog-friendly property. There is an additional $50 fee for one dog only (no cats!). Guests are expected to adhere to all pet guidelines such as no pets off-leash, clean up your pet’s waste, do not leave your pet unattended or alone in the bunkhouse, and do not allow pets on the bed. This is a trial run to see how pet owners behave so please don’t ruin it for future guests who travel with their furry friends.

As per our license with Chaffee County, this property is not an appropriate destination for events such as weddings or large parties. Small gatherings which are respectful of the neighbors and neighborhood are acceptable as long as the maximum number does not exceed the number of guests on the reservation.
