The minute you arrive at "Breathless" cozy cabin, relaxation sets in. This cabin offers the most striking 180-degree views of the mountains into Georgia and Tennessee. The beautiful valley below is full of wildflowers, lakes, cows, and horses grazing. Listen for the whistle of the train, watch the soaring eagles and gaze at the starlit skies. Family and pet friendly.

The amazing outdoor covered living space is so relaxing and peaceful. It offers a hot tub, outdoor dining, a gas grill and comfortable oversized Amish rocking chairs that enable you to see the view and not look at the railing. The deck also overlooks incredible boulders with space to roam or enjoy the new solo stove bonfire = low smoke & hot fire with comfortable Adirondack chairs.

Decorated with all the flair and charm of a mountain cabin, with the style of a home you would find in Southern Living! With views and sunsets that will make you never want to leave. 3 bedrooms is just perfect for a family of 6 or friends. The kitchen is well-stocked and has a coffee bar with Keurig and Ninja coffee options.

Truly Breathless!

My family and I stayed at Breathless for 6 nights at Christmas, and it was absolutely perfect! From the moment we walked in to Christmas music playing and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, our stay was wonderful. We cooked and baked in the well stocked kitchen, spent a lot of time on the back porch and around the fire pit taking in the amazing views, watched Christmas movies in the cozy living room, and just enjoyed each other’s company. It was so nice to slow down and focus on the true meaning of Christmas as a family! The cabin was immaculately clean, the beds were comfy, and it was stocked with everything we needed and more. Laura was quick to answer any questions we had and was so kind and helpful. We can’t wait for our next stay at Breathless!

Stunning Views & Peaceful

We had an amazing stay at Breathless in Mentone! The cabin truly lives up to its name with stunning views and a peaceful, cozy atmosphere. Relaxation at its best!

Breathless is truly that! We frequent here and love the relaxation that we get. The cabin is beyond stocked with anything you may need. The Cabin is immaculately clean due to Julie! We absolutely love this place! Laura is a great owner and on top of anything that may come up! Don't miss out on Breathless for a true relaxation!

Spectacular View

The view was spectacular. The Cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. The kids enjoyed the clean hot tub and perfectly placed fire pit. The dining table/area was perfect to accommodate our large family. Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. The cabin is expertly decorated which adds to the amazing ambiance. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning.

Relaxing with a fantastic view!

Our family has stayed at Breathless cabin on more than one occasion and on each visit we're greeted with a welcoming cabin in a quiet location with one of a kind view. At sunset we'd gather on the back porch to see what the painted sky had in store for us. The fire pit was also a gathering place after sunset to share stories of our days either shopping or hiking (plenty of opportunities for both in the area). Our family created memories that we'll share for a lifetime during our stay in Mentone and at Breathless.

PERFECT Getaway!

"Breathless" is the PERFECT choice for your mountain getaway: secluded, breathtaking views, yet close to Mentone for shopping and restaurants, and close to hiking options like Desoto and Cloudland. (I hesitate to even post this because I selfishly want it all to myself! .... JK) We spent four days, three nights at Breathless and it was the perfect weekend. The weather was amazing; the views were spectacular; and we had everything we needed right there. We took full advantage of the night views by the fire pit with a cozy fire, watching the sunset and looking for shooting stars. We also enjoyed very much the hot tub after a full day of shopping or hiking at Desoto State Park and Cloudland Canyon. The bed was super comfy and the fireplace in the den was so convenient and it warmed the place up quickly. It was so convenient to have firewood for the fire pit stacked by the house (even though we did bring our own). We had our two doodles with us and they felt completely at home there. While we enjoyed the fire pit, they sat at the rock edge staring out over the valley, completely mezmerized. WE WILL BE BACK!!

Great cabin with amazing views!

Book the cabin!!! You won’t regret it! When you drive up and see the view, you’ll know you booked the right place! The cabin was SPOTLESS, cozy, and had everything we needed! Laura was so pleasant to communicate with and very helpful. The cabin is about 10 minutes (at most) from downtown. The deck and hot tub was everyone’s favorite, but we enjoyed everything about this cabin and can’t wait to return!

We had the most wonderful time!

The cabin was easy to find! When we arrived it was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with anything you could possible need…even a crockpot! We used the gas fireplace every evening while we relaxed after hiking most days. We loved the fact that there was a washer and dryer. The view from the back deck is amazing and we saw some gorgeous sunsets! And the swing on the front porch is a great spot for reading! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Breathless!

Attractive setting

Exceptional view, without question! Fire pit (wood provided) offers great view and nighttime star gazing. Home is warm and welcoming. Laura has thought of every detail. Kitchen is very well supplied. Living room cozy with ample seating. Back deck with beautiful view extends indoor/outdoor seating & dining. The glider seats were so nice. Bedrooms/beds very comfortable. Bathrooms adequate. The property is clean and inviting. We loved our stay & plan to return.

A wonderful experience!

We have stayed at many cabins and Breathless was the best. Every detail was attended to the beds and bedding were top notch, small details like a fully stocked coffee bar with tea and hot chocolate too. Furnished with a mixture of high end antiques and traditional furniture. The view was incredible and the back porch was so comfortable you could sit back there for hours. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Overall.....very nice place. Quiet and cozy. The back porch view was amazing. Only complaints would be the couch (it was in great shape) i think is to low to the floor and the other was the shower heads (they could use a replacement). Everything was as advertised. I would definitely stay again. It seemed to be 20 to 30 degrees cooler on back porch than the temp outside. Sitting out back was comfortable and cool.

Relaxing cabin with a beautiful view

This was our 2nd time to stay at Breathless. I could spend all day on the back porch looking at the view! The hot tub on the porch is perfection! The cabin is also stocked with all of the kitchen essentials. It has the cutest coffee bar. Everything was very clean and organized. The location is just a couple of minutes from downtown mentone. I can’t recommend this rental enough.

Lovely, clean cabin with an amazing view

Cabin had comfortable seating and bedding. It was clean and thoughtfully done, from rocking chairs tall enough to see over the porch to a bar for outdoor eating. It had everything we needed. The view was beautiful. A very short drive to the town area. Highly recommend!

We had a relaxing weekend even despite the rain and storms. The cabin was beautiful and loved sitting on back deck and enjoying the views.

Beautiful views

A wonderful way to spend Spring Break with the family! Well equipped kitchen, nice hot tub on the back porch overlooking the gorgeous view, and comfortable hang out spaces. Everything and anything that one could want for a relaxing time in Mentone!

Jeff & Laura are your hosts/home owners. Jeff has been visiting Mentone since his childhood and introduced it to Laura when they were first married. After enjoying many family reunions and stays at DeSoto Park, they decided to purchase their own cabins and share with others the beauty of Mentone. In addition to Breathless, the Nobles own Beulah, located on the south end of Mentone on a 3 acre spring-fed lake.

From the minute you drive into the driveway, you will feel a sense of calm. The view is amazing! There are pastures, ponds/lakes to gaze at, along with soaring eagles flying in the sky. The sunsets are incredible. The yard below where the fire pit is has amazing boulders that compliment the scenery. Rain or shine, Breathless is a relaxing destination and a great place to enjoy time with friends and family.

When you open the front door, the smell of cedar greets you. The furnishings are all new, along with linens and mattresses.
The covered porch is a great place to enjoy morning coffee or a sunset. The brand new hot tub has a multi-colored light option and is a great place to relax. The oversized Amish rockers allow you to enjoy the view and not the railing, along with the outdoor dining table.
The US stove fire pit is one of a kind! Once the fire is going, there is minimal smoke. The Adirondack chairs around the fire pit are very comfortable.
