I’ve been coming to the La Costa resort for the last year and a half as I thoroughly enjoyed spending time at the Premier Fitness camp a.k.a. PFCThis condo is close to camp walking distance to everything I need including to the grocery store if you opt to go to the grocery store, the resort is absolutely beautiful and I always enjoy my time The condo is clean, fairly quiet as it’s at the end of the hallway outside Noyes from tennis and Pickleball can be a bit distracting if you leave the doors open, but if you don’t mind the sound of tennis, it should be fairly quiet otherwiseA couple things I would highly recommend that the host implement. Please add a Britta water pitcher, a scale and a fan to move the air from the living room towards the bedroom as the only place that has the air conditioner is the living room doesn’t quite get into the bedroom into the eveningsIf you were to leave the doors open through the evening, it would be plenty cool however as previously mentioned, they do play pickle ball in tennis until at least 10 PM if not slightly laterDefinitely a cute condo would stay again!

fabulous condo

I loved the condo. The only suggestion i would make would be to change out the pillows. they appeared to be the same pillows i was given free when i bought new mattresses at a store. the pillows seemed like they resembled mypillow crazy guy pillows. only suggestion i would make to make it a more comfortable stay. i will definately book again when i come to SD to see my kids.

The place was fine.

The condo was just that. It felt more like a studio due to the floor layout although pocket doors were available to separate living and bedroom. The 1.5 baths were generous and everything worked as they should. We did not have a car that fit underneath in parking garage so can’t speak to that, and street parking was limited. They accused us of taking off with parking pass when I left it exactly where it was originally located. Didn’t check out pool. It is third floor and down a very long hallway — which was a bummer with all our road-trip stuff. Unfortunately, with Ca laws, they had a very complicated check in. Liked it didn’t love it.

Insisted on Private details

I was never given check in codes because after filling out several divisions from the property managers I received an additional phone call. They insisted that I tell them why I was staying there. I said it was personal (vs business). She said I needed to provide additional details to assure the safety & security of the unit. I said it was private. She suggested acceptable reason, I said none of them fit. She said she'd need to check with management. I never received another call, text, email OR refund. They simply refused my admittance. I'm disputing with VRBO & my credit card now.

owner needs to step up

We enjoyed our stay, but there were three areas by which the owner could make it a superb property with very little investment. 1. security--all of the units had double locks on the front door. Our unit had one broken lock and the keypad on the functioning electronic lock could not be disabled from the inside, meaning that anyone who had the combination could access the apartment when we were inside. We asked the owner to put in a deadbolt which would certainly have not cost much more than $50.00. Her response was "the apartment is safe and we have never had issues". 2. The washing machine rarely worked. We spoke to the maid during the turnover as we were leaving and she said, "Yes, it has been that way for a long time" 3. Lack of dishes and flat ware. There were four of everything which meant that we were running the dishwasher once a day when it was 20% full. A big waste of water and energy when these types of dishes/flatware are very cheap. We asked the owner to remedy this and she said, "the apartment is rated for 3 people and what you have is considered adequate." There was also no cable on the TV so you could not access CNN, Fox, MSNBC, etc. Not a big deal, but........... On the positive side the apartment had nice furniture, was comfortable and well-located. And, on a very positive note was the management service that was always available and attentive to our needs.

We are so sorry that this guest did not have a 5 star experience at SoCal Chic. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that all of our guests love their time in our homes and have a 5 star experience. Regarding the updates this guest recommends: The lock on the front door was electronic and was not, in fact, broken. The lock was engaged from the inside of the apartment and was not disengaged before closing the door. Doing so will fully engage the lock from the outside of the apartment, locking anyone out who doesnt have the master key. This issue was fixed during this guests stay and is no longer an issue. We have forwarded the rest of this guests concerns about the glassware to the owner to start the process of getting this request approved. As for the TV, like most rentals, we offer Roku TV and the ability to log into any of the various streaming services you subscribe to. We want to encourage you, as a potential guest, to please read all of our other very positive reviews and note that we are Premiere Partners with VRBO for a good reason :) Thanks for considering Whispering Waves for your stay in Solana Beach, we hope to host you!

Perfect for a small family

When looking at the resort we couldnt find a room that had a kitchen/kitchenette that we needed for our toddler. Luckily we stumbled upon this listing which had everything we needed and to enjoy the resort we had a quick 5min walk up the driveway. We had no problems with the room and everything was just as described.

Disappointment for the price, location and no amenities included.

So expensive for what was there. Skimpy on dishes and silverware, only two towels and washcloths. Pickleball and tennis courts were right behind the condo, noise day and night. As a renter couldn't play, to use pools, a hefty price. A couple of very loud music festivals where the base could be heard. Couch was lumpy so sat on it opened for a sofa bed. Great location and beautiful area.
