Mountain cottage: the Saint-Michel cottage is located in a small mountain village, Bourbach-le-Haut, located in the Ballons de Vosges Regional Nature Park (550 m above sea level). You can go hiking without taking your car and go to the high stubble of the Rossberg (1100 m above sea level). Other hikes are possible in the nearby area, with the possibility of having your meal in a farm-inn.
The village is crossed by the Bourbach stream, an adventure place for children in summer. At night, the silence of the mountain and the surrounding forests extends to the village.
Friendly cottage: woodwork like in an old refuge, a stove and its good warmth in winter, large bright windows open to the surrounding nature, a long table for aperitifs, meals and shared games, a mezzanine where children love to isolate themselves to read, play or share their secrets, a DVD player to watch a movie together, a library corner and a small table to write to friends... and since December 2023, a Wifi connection to allow you to stay in touch with your networks and also look for the right addresses in the region on the internet.
Outside, you will find sheltered garden furniture, a round table with two benches, a swing frame, a barbecue, a large parasol, deckchairs. Part of this space is well shaded in summer. It is also possible to walk in our private garden, to sit by the pond and even... to meditate there.
Accessible gîte: On the first floor of the gîte, there is a large living space with a kitchen area, a bedroom and a bathroom with toilet (walk-in shower with seat, adapted sink, grab bars). The first floor is accessible directly by a footbridge from the meadow. All the openings on the first floor and the walkway allow the passage of a wheelchair.
The gîte is also suitable for children: provision of a travel cot with mattress, a child seat (triptrap type), a changing mat, a baby bath, a baby carrier and a bottle warmer.
