Great location for Family getaway!

Love the location. Beaches were a 3mins walk. My Mom love me the idea of clam fishing. We weren’t able to get a lot as we really had no clue how to clam fish. Neighbors were polite.

Another great week in Buzzards Bay

Stayed here last year as well…owners have done some great improvements…new bathrooms, new back door and much better wifi. This house was perfect for us…eight old friends fishing on the Cape. Great beach steps away, peaceful area with friendly neighbors. Wonderful rental…Thanks!

We had an excellent time. The house was well stocked and the beach was perfect for kids.

We enjoyed the privacy of the beach and it’s location to the house. Coupled with the conveniences of the house (dishes, space, yard), it made for the perfect vacation with kids. Added bonus: you skip most of the cape traffic being so close to the bridge! And you cannot beach the sunrise and sunset views.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was spacious and accommodated our family of 7 very nicely. The location and views were great. There are some serious maintenance issues that need attention. The front storm door did not shut, allowing some bugs in. The screen in the back storm door kept coming out of the track. The small fridge in the kitchen was not cleaned; and there were mice droppings on the kitchen counter when we arrived and during our stay. After contacting Turnkey on several occasions, nothing was taken care of while we were there.

Pleasant Stay

We had a very nice time as a family, relaxing and making happy memories together. The children spent a lot of time on the beach.

Great location...not all as promised

The house was in a great location and relatively clean. We had an issue with the TVs. Two were promised. One was missing and the other had roku that could never connect. The property manager just apologized for the missing one and was no help regarding connectivity on the other. Also the grill was filthy...layers of built up grease. The rest of the house was fine for a rental

Great Location

The house is in an amazing location. It is a nice size house and plenty of room for a big family. The Master bedroom upstairs is used for kids with tons of bunk beds. Two small bedrooms downstairs are for adults- only complaint there is the upstairs bedroom has the deck and water view. Kitchen nicely stocked. House was clean but floor felt dirty- maybe because it's older. Also, had carpenter ants by garbage- it was fixed during our stay but they need to eradicate the next. All in all, nice house with access to beach right across the way. I would recommend.

Quick escape, wish it was longer

Took a quick trip and we loved the uniqueness of Mashpee and the short walk to the beach. Plenty of room in the house.

Perfect beach getaway with kids

We wanted to get away from the city for a few days with 6 kids ranging in age from 5 to 15. Mashnee island was perfect. The house is spacious with some toys and games as well as a large outdoor space. The beach is a couple of minutes away and the water is shallow for quiet a distance which allowed my younger kids to enjoy looking for crabs and splash around. The highlight of the vacation was the osprey nest on a pole across from the property. Bring binoculars for birdwatching.

Amazing Property

Everything from booking to check out was easy. The house was stunning in a beautiful part of the cape. Will absolutely stay here again!

Nice Get Away

We had an awesome time at this property. The weather was almost perfect. The house has no AC but the ocean breeze kept it cool. Love taking walk on the beach. Everybody on the island was super friendly. There is parking for three cars. If you have more than three pulling out is a bit challenging. Over all great place.

Enjoyable

Had a great stay, which was set up at the last minute. Check in was easy. Outdoor shower great, but the Poison Ivy needs to be removed from there! The description encourages the bringing of a boat, which we did, but doesn't say where one can launch. We figured it out on our own. Rental agency was responsive and friendly. We have rented many places on the Cape over the years and this one compares favorably. Thanks!

The 2 downstairs bedrooms are very small and have very tiny closets to put your clothes etc. The upstairs room has a master suite like bathroom but the room has small bunk beds. The entire house only has two small fans. One window fan and one small table fan that makes so much noise you can't sleep. On a hot day when no Cape Cod breeze is going the house is brutally hot. If you rent bring your own fans. The house is old and outdated but is in a great location. There are no pavers,walkway to front door. So it is impossible to walk into house without making floors wet and dirty.The Turnkey representative for the home is very nice and accommodating. The front hose had a hole in it and she replaced it the next day. The upstairs TV had no remote and would not work. It was replaced but she had to order online and it took 3 days. The TV is not regular cable. Very limited TV. This house is amazing for a group coming up to fish the canal etc. For families the layout is tough. We stayed upstairs just to have a location to store our clothes, have the better bathroom and the amazing views. We all clocked our heads on the bunk beds at some point. The best part of house is you can be on a beach in seconds.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay here, and we love the location. The layout of the house is also very nice. We were somewhat disappointed with the maintenance. We stayed the weekend after Memorial Day, and it did not seem that the house had been opened up for the summer yet. The casement windows in the den were sealed shut with weather stripping; we were only able to get a couple of them open. There was a significant infestation of carpenter ants in the kitchen. The house was superficially cleaned, but the kitchen chairs had a significant layer of dust on them. The downstairs television was ancient, and the upstairs TV was missing a remote -- it was muted and we could not find a way to turn up the volume. Despite all this, we had a nice stay. Might consider coming back, hopefully it will be maintained a bit better next time.
