It is clear the owners are putting in effort to make sure their guests have a good time. Beautiful fire pit, perfect little deck to eat breakfast on. The beds were very comfortable. The neighbors were very friendly, Francis and Allen told us all about the history of the neighborhood! The lake is pristine. The lake access is slightly awkward, but the neighbors on either side are friendly. Really great location.

Everything was fine no complaints only issue was the size of the shower quite small and uncomfortable. Overall had a great time and enjoyed our stay.

Bike Week Getaway

This was the perfect cabin for us to enjoy bike week but still feel that we were on vacation. Kayla was responsive, kind and professional and we can’t wait to stay again!

We had a lovely relaxed weekend staying at this cottage with our kids and a friend. Communication with Kayla was excellent starting before we left when she checked in to make sure we knew that the cottage was small and space might be tight with our sized group. It wasn't at all! Partly because half of our party were gone all day mountain biking at Highland but also because of the great extra space in the bunkhouse. The bunkhouse was our teens favorite thing about the weekend and when we were home we hardly saw them; they were holed up in there eating their snacks and watching dvds and playing on the nintendo.The beds in the main cottage were super comfortable which we really appreciated as we did the option of cooling the rooms with the mini splits!!We loved how quiet the neighborhood was and while it was a bummer that there isn't a beach area to hang out on, the boys enjoyed taking the kayak onto the water and messing about for a couple of hours.Add in that everything we wanted to do was an easy 20-30 mins beautiful drive away meant that we had a fabulous relaxing weekend away!

Reunion at Crystal Lake

Nice quiet getaway

Property was exactly as described. Just right for an easy staycation. Kayla was responsive and helpful. Outdoor shower was nice too.

Great little cabin

Nice quiet area, Kids really enjoyed the bunk house with the games..Host was very nice and responsive. Very clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay. Very well stocked didn't need anything..Thank you.

Great getaway

Loved where this cabin was located. Loved being able to walk around the area and enjoy the views. Kayla was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. Wish we had more time to stay to have a fire at night, but only there a couple of days and we made sure we were able to get a few sights/hikes in before we had to leave. Will definitely safe this location and book again when a well needed get away is needed.

Relaxing at the lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at Little Bear Cabin! The property and neighborhood was so peaceful and quiet! The cabin had everything we needed and more! Games for family play or adult play, perfect campfire area and cozy cabin for the rainy days! We highly recommend this property and look forward to renting again in the future. Hosts were very helpful and nice.

Cozy cabin at Crystal Lake

My husband and I stayed at Kayla and Tom’s cabin at Crystal Lake recently, and we loved it. We found it to be very cozy warm and comfy. The photos online look exactly like the cabin. Kayla and Tom have done a superb job of creating a home away from home and you can tell when you enter the cabin how much they care about their place. They were very responsive to any questions we had during our stay and we can highly recommend their place for a retreat.

Labor Day weekend

Perfect! So relaxing and exactly as described. Comfortable beds and the back sun room was exactly what was needed to spread out. The fire pit was so relaxing while we watched deer come near the property. We brought bikes and explored the lake riding all around it. Will definitely be back ❤️

Phenomenal

We are back every year to the area. Having a family cottage within 1/4 mile. The lil Bear Cottage was found to be spotless. Well equipped and fun for our 7 year olds to safely run around the property. There was plenty of space and options for socializing. Easy to “work from home” in peace while the rest of the family enjoyed the rest of the cottage. Communications and instructions were clear and timely. We can’t think of a negative and we occupied for an entire week.

Weeklong mountain vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Bear Lodge! We came to the cabin all the way from Florida to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We also came for the 100th anniversary of motorcycle week in Laconia but wanted to stay somewhere quiet away from all the hustle and bustle. However, it was only a 30 minute ride to Weirs Beach when we chose to participate in the bike week festivities. The cabin is so cute and comfortable! It is equipped with everything you could possibly need! It is centrally located for sightseeing trips around Lake Winnipesaukee or the White Mountains. We enjoyed using the kayaks and swimming in the refreshing, clear water in Crystal Lake and loved relaxing by the fire pit each night. We hope to visit again with family in the future!

We really did enjoy our stay here! There were only a few things that could’ve made it more enjoyable. There are a lot of rules, to the point where we felt anxious about stuff so it was a little difficult to fully relax. The overhead lights in the main bedroom and bathroom flicker badly. I could not use the main bathroom light. There was trash left in the outside bin so I ended up changing someone else’s trash. Also, there is a neighbor by the lake access that made us a little uncomfortable, mainly because he just came out and stared at us and didn’t even wave or attempt to make us feel like we weren’t doing anything wrong. People should definitely be aware of neighbors that aren’t the friendliest. It was ominous almost! I was told by the host that he was hard of hearing, but he could clearly see that my brother was trying to communicate with him and say hello and he just ignored him completely. This is my honest review and when I am expected to pay a lot of money for a stay/cleaning fee, I do also expect to relax a little more. Kayla and Tom are very kind and responsive and the property is quite charming!

Thank you for staying with us, Gwen! The cabin is very special to us, and our house rules help us maintain the property and provide a great experience for all guests. We share our rental agreement at the time of booking, so guests have the opportunity to review it in advance and cancel if they feel it isn't a good fit. We sent you a message as we'd genuinely appreciate learning which rules felt excessive to you. Guest feedback helps us continually improve. The bedroom and bathroom lights have been fixed. Unfortunately, we don't always know about things like this until a guest lets us know. We hope the nightstand lamps and vanity light provided sufficient lighting. Re: the deck trash bin, we actually decided to remove it completely after your stay. It's easy to miss when it's not used all the time, so we felt eliminating it altogether was the best solution. As for the neighbor at the lake, he's generally a private person. We respect his space, and he respects ours, and we've found him to be a good neighbor. Thank you again for your feedback and for choosing to stay with us.

Away from the hustle and bustle!

This property was a great find! We traveled to the area to visit our son with no real knowledge of this region. Crystal Lake is a quiet community with all of your lake needs away from the larger and busier lakes. The cottage was VERY clean, quiet and with access to kayaks and a fire pit (just as described). The all weather porch was perfect for the one day of rain we had, with tons of board games for us to enjoy. The water access is a short walk from the cabin. It does feel like you are walking on someone’s property, but I assure you are not. The water was so clean and clear and perfect for kayaking, swimming and fishing. Weirs Beach and Alton Bay were only a short drive with so much to do there. If you love to Thrift shop - Laconia has the best Salvation Army I’ve ever been to across the South, Southwest, and Northern States. If you need a salty beach - ME is only a 1.5h drive - the water is clear and frigid, but worth it on a hot day. The hosts are super easy to contact and very responsive. Don’t hesitate to book this property if you are going to be in the area. Hurry before you miss out.
