Ocean view condo on the south side ground floor at Hale Hui Kai. This property is located at the gem of south Maui, Keawakapu Beach!

Keawakapu Beach, located on the south shore of Maui, Hawaii, is known for its stunning natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. This picturesque beach is a favorite spot for locals and return visitors and features soft golden sand, clear waters, and lush greenery surrounding the area. It's a great spot for families to swim, snorkel, and sunbathe, and watch the sun set at the end of the day.

The condo has high efficiency split AC (one unit in each bedroom and a unit in the living room/kitchen area). The open floor plan living space leads to the patio seating area which is just 40 steps from the sandy beach.

Wood floors throughout condo and comfortable furniture makes this space a home away from home for our guests. Each bedroom has a king size bed and noise quieting windows. The Master Bathroom is en suite with a river rock shower floor. The guest/hall bathroom has a Bathtub & shower combo. At this beachfront property we provide beach towels, beach chairs, and a beach cooler. We suggest renting beach toys (such as a beach umbrella, snorkel gear, paddle boards, boogie boards, etc) from one of the many rental companies on Maui.

Hale Hui Kai is a beloved location among first time visitors and repeat guests. There is a small shared oceanfront pool next to the common area covered lanai, which is equipped with comfortable lounge space for guests to enjoy when you need a break from the Maui sun.

Bello Realty, Inc. has been managing vacation rentals on Maui since the 1980's and is the premier on site management office at Hale Hui Kai. Our staff is available to assist you during your visit with any questions you may have as well as local recommendations and booking a return visit!

Beautiful property, not so great unit.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Hale Hui Kai is a special place and I am sorry that this unit has some issues. All of my belongs that were in drawers now have a very musty smell and after 2 washings I cannot get it out. I have to be honest in saying I can't stand that smell. I think there is a humidity issue in that unit. The air conditioning units in the primary bedroom and kitchen are placed so that the cold air blows on you when you're trying to read in bed and eating at the table. The refrigerator had a leak and I called the second or third day, of my two week stay, to let someone know about it. Water would puddle on the top shelf and the drawer under that shelf so nothing could be stored in it. I had to mop it up 3 or 4 times, the last time I mopped up 2 measuring cups of water. The drawer can't be removed because the swing is on the wrong side of the refrigerator and the door can't be opened to clear the drawer. My daughter and her family were in one of the other units and there was no smell in their unit. Also, one of the lovely things about the ground floor units are the back patio areas. All of the units except this one have "trunks" for storage of chairs, sand toys etc. I had to clean up the patio and organize all of the stuff that was put there so it wouldn't look so messy and take up the space it did. There are some things that need to be tossed. I feel like this unit is a little bit tired and needs some improvements, not a lot but important ones. I'm sorry I can't give a 5 star review here because I do love this facility. I believe these are things that can be taken care of. I would recommend staying here but not in this unit, 108.

Very tired condo!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First off, we’ve stayed at this property more times than I can count. We were very disappointed this time around. 108 should have NEVER been rented in this condition. We arrived at night and the door was wide open with the cleaning cart out front. The unit had not been completely cleaned. The duvet cover in the master bedroom had stains all over it, the sheets were ripped on the ends, there was a hole in the drywall in the guest bath, and the towels were all mismatched and old. The management company offered to have the cleaners come in and clean but didn’t show up until days later. They informed us that this unit had water damage and didn’t have time to repair the drywall where they had cut it out. Not to mention the musty water smell the entire stay. We payed a premium price for Spring Break along with unit 109 for my sister's family. We payed the same price for both units. 109 was newly renovated so it was worth the price but 108 even with a slight view was not worth the money. Do not rent this unit!

Jessie and the team took us in and were so flexible as we waited to hear from our loved ones. Thank You. As for the property, I think it represents great value. Very charming in an old school way right on a great beach with great sunsets.

Waking up to the sound of birds chirping and enjoying a cup of coffee on the charming patio was an absolute delight. The pristine white sand of Keawakapu beach was just steps away, allowing to indulge in daily walks, swims, and mesmerizing sunsets. The accommodations at Hale Hui Kai were nothing short of remarkable. A spacious beautifully furnished condo equipped with all the comforts of home, fully stocked kitchen, convenient beach access and complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas, making it easy to fully enjoy the stunning surroundings. Furthermore, the proximity of Hale Hui Kai to popular attractions and dining options was a major advantage. Its convenient proximity to major attractions is making it the perfect base for exploring the island. Whether we wanted to explore the vibrant town of Kihei or embark on adventures such as snorkeling or hiking, everything was conveniently located within a short distance. In conclusion, Hale Hui Kai is a true gem in Maui. Great Location, Great Value, Poor Communication

Loved the stay because the location is prime. It is right on the beach, the beach is swimmable, the rooms are a great size, well taken care of, good value. The only thing that could have made it better was air conditioning during the day, but night time it was fine, the rooms were cool at night. The king sized beds were lovely. The kitchen was stocked with cooking essentials. The listing said that it had "laundry" but it didn't mention it was not in suite. It mentioned a safe, there was no safe. We messaged to see about the safe, and they said it was in the closet, but there was nothing there, so we messaged again and there was no response. I messaged again a few days later and no response. We would stay again because we know what to expect, that is why it is 4 starts, but they are not very responsive.
