Hi Jean, I'm glad you liked our house and terribly sorry for the condition of the road. We arrived last night and the damages done by the rain the last two weeks is incredible, and likewise are the damages to the slightly longer municipal road. We will have it fixed shortly. All the best Jens

This was our second stay in this villa and it was just as wonderful as the first time. The house is in such a peaceful and private setting yet convenient for Sarteano and many other beautiful and interesting places. The house is very comfortable, clean and well equipped and the pool is delightful with stunning views just like the rest of the property. Jens and Lucia could not be more helpful and easy to contact. We had a fantastic holiday and were even lucky enough to see two Crested Porcupines when we were driving up from Sarteano one evening! This is a wonderful property and we hope to return for a third visit.

Great stay and Great Location

Location & quality of the stay were excellent. You are basically at 1-2h from all places to be seen in the south part of Tuscany. The Trasimeno lake can be seen from the windows. We really enjoyed our two weeks vacation with my family.

We enjoyed a magical few days at this villa just outside Sarteano.Lazy hours by the pool were interspersed with indulgent lunches nearby and plenty of cheeky cheese and meat platters. The house is in a lovely location - close enough to the quaint village of Sarteano which has plenty of grocery and dining options, but far enough away to truly feel like an escape. It’s a beautifully laid out home with space to relax and enjoy, including multiple outdoor spaces and the pool. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’d need if you do decide to stay in. And as previous quests have mentioned, do book the chef Assunta for a home-cooked meal one night. This was a true highlight for us.Some of our other favourite local experiences:- Lucia’s restaurant Chiostro Cennini is a romantic setting, good food and great wine- the sheep cheese making tour at Caslsianga Piu - allow 4 hours and expect to drink a lot of wine!- Lunch at Pesce D’Ora restaurant at Lake Chiusi- Drinks and dinner at Monteverdi - it’s included on a suggested walking tour from the house but we chose to drive so we could dress up a bit :-)Jens was an excellent communicative host and I’m so grateful he chose to share this home with us.

This villa is beautiful and even better than expected! The views are breathtaking. The location makes travel to other areas and wineries easy for exploring. We loved the village of Sarteano as it is not filled with tourists. Jens was amazing at replying to us quickly and recommending restaurants and things to do and see. Don’t miss out on having Jens contact Assumta to come to the villa and cook a wonderful Italian meal. It was delicious and a lot of fun. Thanks, Jens, for a wonderful time in Tuscany!

We had a lovely two-week stay here with four adults and two children (5 and 3). This house is perfectly situated to enjoy the peace and tranquility of a country retreat with gorgeous views of the valley, while also being 20-90 minutes away from Tuscany’s best villages. This area is steeped in history and culture, wonderful food and wine, and natural beauty. There is plenty to do and see for adults and children. We were very sad to leave this morning. Jens is a communicative and attentive host. To note, the road up to the property is rustic, so be prepared with a good rental car.

The villa is beautiful; very clean, spacious, with highly equipped luxurious kitchen and comfortable beds! The views from the villa are breath-taking and the pool area is lovey. The are many nice places to visit but we especially enjoyed Montepulciano, Cetona, the hot springs at Bagno San Filippo and the hike from the villa to Castiglioncello del Trinoro. Jens was extremely friendly, prompt with communication and helpful. We would definitely recommend a stay at this property!

A great experience in Tuscany

We really can't say enough positive things about our villa experience in Sarteano. The cool and quiet of the early morning and the great view of the sunrise were wonderful. The home is private and very comfortable and the refreshing pool was an enjoyable and frequent gathering spot for our family. Sarteano is charming and a great location to launch daytrips throughout Tuscany. The host and his local staff are exceptional and go above and beyond an excellent standard of service.

Amazing property!

This villa far exceeded our expectations, and we were sad to leave! Communication with the owner was exceptional, and check-in was quite easy. The owner arranged a cooking class for us with Assumta during our stay, which was great fun - highly recommend this experience! The villa itself was well-appointed with everything you might need during a stay. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and modern. The views were amazing, with the villa situated on a forested hill overlooking a valley. We would highly recommend this villa for a trip to Sarteano!

Tuscan Dream

As stunning as the pictures of this property are, they really do not do it justice. I fell in love with the views and the town of Sarteano. My husband fell in love with the surrounding area and day trips. My son was a huge fan of the luxury of the property and my daughter spent time in the pool every day. Stunningly beautiful house! The views, the interior design, the fabulous kitchen, all perfect

We all loved this house! It is gorgeously designed, inside & out. The views are spectacular, & the location is the ideal spot for a quiet home base from which you can explore Tuscany on short day trips. There is hiking, including a gorgeous hike to a fabulous lunch at Hotel Monteverdi. We also had a wonderful chef, Assunta, come one night to the house who taught us all how to make fresh pasta, among other delicious dishes. This was a perfect vacation. I hope to go back someday. Highly recommend!!!!

Magical stay in Sarteano

Our first trip to Tuscany and Sarteano is the sweetest village steeped in history and beauty. Jens is such a pleasant attentive host with a great team. The house is beautifully designed and comfortable with spectacular views and a stunning infinity pool set in the forest surrounding the property. Quite secluded which gave plenty of peace and tranquility yet nearby to the most charming village. We had a wonderful stay with our children of varying ages.
