Gîte "La Mater," meaning "mother" in Latin, is a tribute to the grandmother whose home it was. This 3-star rated gîte, located in the countryside, offers comfort and tranquility for a rejuvenating and successful stay. The peaceful setting and garden are much appreciated. Walks in the surrounding area offer beautiful views of the Chaîne des Puys mountain range! We live across the courtyard and are often available to offer advice. The icing on the cake? Véronique's massage practice is at the same address! This gîte is ideal for your get-togethers with friends or family: in the heart of France, easily accessible, sleeps 10, enclosed courtyard, barbecue... Also ideal for small group workshops: the large room can be arranged to host your yoga, meditation, or other activities for about 5 or 6 participants. Even better for a calm and peaceful stopover during your north-south or east-west journey across France! Shall I show you around? You enter a hall where you can leave your shoes and coats. Opposite is the laundry room, to the left is the main living area, and to the right is the staircase to the upstairs bedrooms. The cottage comprises a large room on the garden level that serves as a living room, dining room, and kitchen. It is equipped with a lounge area that can be extended outside, a television, everything needed for meals for 10 people plus a baby (high chair provided), and a very well-equipped kitchen: ample storage, a large refrigerator, a cooktop, a full-size dishwasher, etc. On this level, you will also find a toilet and a laundry room with a washing machine. Upstairs, there is a suite on the right and a suite on the left, each with a bathroom and two bedrooms. PGJyPg On the right, the two adjoining rooms can accommodate 6 people. PGJyPg On the left, two separate rooms for couples, snorers, or a family, with a special room for 2 children. (2 x 2 people) PGJyPg Good to know: a travel cot is available, and we've also thought of a changing table! Baby-friendly ++ PGJyPg The rooms have large windows to enjoy the sun and reversible air conditioning that can be controlled. The double beds can be separated into single beds if needed. PGJyPg PGJyPg Bed linen and towels are provided. The beds are made upon your arrival. Upon your departure, we ask you to: - strip the beds used and take the used linen downstairs; - wash the dishes, put them away, and leave nothing in the fridge; - leave the toilets, showers, floors, walls, kitchen, tables, etc. clean; - remember to tidy up the barbecue area if you used it; - check that you haven't forgotten anything. Obviously, food is only served downstairs (not in the rooms), smoking is only permitted outside (no cigarettes inside), and shoes must be left in the hall (no shoes in the rooms).
