HOT TUB! Enjoy the serene views from every room in the house with large windows that flood the home with natural light. Enjoy the view of the water while relaxing in the hot tub! This home is right on some of the best fishing in all of Smith Mountain Lake! The two tier dock offers an abundance of lounge space above and below, as well as a floating dock. The water is deep by dock, which is great for jumping in or docking the boat. Amenities abound both in the home and short drives to groceries, restaurants and activities! The general store is 7 minutes away with food, wine and other amenities. Food Lion is 15 minutes away. Bridgewater Marina is 17 minutes by car or 5 minutes by boat with putt putt, rock wall, arcade, live music and 3 restaurants.

Smith Mountain Lake Family Vacation

The house is well laid out for multiple family members and the yard to the nice boat dock is more level than most. The house needs a good cleaning and the plumbing needs some work. The faucet at the kitchen sink was not working properly and the owner responded quickly and had it replaced. However the lower level bathtub shower and several drains were slow to drain. There was no cold water at the lower level bathroom but learned it was turned off as it dripped otherwise. The can opener in the kitchen does not work.

Nice location

Large house on the lake. Plenty of room. Was not clean when we arrived. Host was responsive. Enjoyed the dock for fishing.

Great lake getaway location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay despite nearly a full day of rain. The house is spacious with comfortable living areas upstairs and downstairs to get together or find a quiet nook to read and relax. The deck has tons of seating with great views of the included dock and surrounding areas. Everything we needed was there and our two dogs loved roaming the gated deck, and my boys spent as much time in the hot tub as they did fishing and playing off the dock. Great place!

Wonderful home with Spectacular views

The home is exceptional. Clean, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. The Hot Tub was perfectly clean. Plenty of space. Would absolutely stay here again.

Time with Family

We truly enjoyed our stay on SML! The home is clean, beautiful, spacious, and well equipped. The views of the lake from the main living room upstairs are great! There is no lack of beds or bathrooms in this home. It is perfect for small or large groups. The hot tub on the lower deck and the fireplace down stairs made a winter evening cozy and inviting. Our family gives the home 5 stars! We would definitely stay here again.

Great place!

We absolutely loved our stay in this house. It was perfect for 3 separate families and dogs. The shaded dock was great for shade and slight rain showers. We wished it was slightly cleaner, but that wasn’t a breaking point for us by any means, as they let us arrive an hour early to swim! Would definitely come back to this home. We made some great memories here!

Time Away with Family

The house was located in a beautiful location. I really appreciated that it had 3 rooms with king sized beds and the fourth bedroom had a double with a twin above it as well as a twin bunk bed. There were 3 bathrooms, two of which were master bedroom bathrooms. The third bathroom had a shower and was located near the kitchen upstairs. The hot tub was a big hit for the family. The deck on the back provided a great view of the lake and plenty of space for guests to congregate.

A great house

The house was very clean, updated, plenty of room for a family, comfortable, and cozy. The furniture was all comfortable and plenty of space to sit. The family fished, played games, and just enjoyed sitting on the big porch in the afternoon together. The weather was beautiful and we all would go to the same place next year if we can.

Beautiful home away from home on SML

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this home on Smith Mountain Lake. The large deck on the main floor was perfect for early morning and evening boat watching. The boat dock was covered and provided the perfect amount of shade for sitting next to the lake in the mid-day and afternoons. This is a narrow stretch of lake with quite a bit of traffic, but far enough away from the dock that we felt comfortable hanging out in the water. Our boat and seadoo fit very comfortably with room enough for another boat or seadoo. The house was very nice. Four spacious bedrooms, BEAUTIFUL living spaces on both floors, and well stocked with everything we needed for our extended family. The host was very pleasant to work with, very helpful, and replied quickly. We will be back next summer!

Nice Family Vacation

Very nice stay on the lake. This was out first time visiting SML and we had a nice relaxing time. It was so nice that we could bring our 2 dogs and boat. The pier was the highlight of the stay for our kids. The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed.

Lake vacation

House was very nice and had everything you needed! Walk to the lake was just a slight hill. Dock was huge with plenty of shade or sun whichever you preferred!

Refreshing, clean swims in beautiful lake.

Perfect: spacious, kids swam so much. Loved it. Lake Water was delicious to swim in! Chris was gracious and responsive.

Family Vacation

Was very pleased with the stay! The property was laid out so well that it gave everyone a private place to sleep but a wonderful communal area to dine and share experiences. The hot tub was very clean, as was the entire premises. Also, communication with Chris, the property manager, was excellent.

Much needed vacay!

Our families enjoyed our stay. View was beautiful, kitchen well stocked, two separate living areas was perfect for our two families. Location is great…even had Food Lion deliver one day. The neighbor was even friendly! There is no doubt that this place needs a little TLC but the value for the price was great. I would like specifically to thank Chris for his regular and timely responses to my questions. He was friendly and informative.

Perfect week with family

We had an amazing time. We brought our boat and had no issues docking it. The house was clean and comfortable. Quiet neighborhood road, some boat traffic but a wide enough channel that we could still float and play in the water near the dock. We didn’t realize we were there during pirate week…what a hoot!

Great location, awesome house!

First time staying at this location and must say, we were all completely satisfied!! Great, quick communication, even when we messaged because we couldn’t figure out how to work showers (FYI-pull knob out, then turn handle to your desired temperature). House was clean, stocked, and beds were even comfortable. The dock was fantastic and plenty of outdoor furniture. This house did not disappoint!!

Lake life

Property was very clean upon arrival. Kitchen was stocked well as well as the downstairs bar and cabinets. Loved having a separate fridge for the bar area. The 2 story deck was fun to jump off of and sun tan on the roof top. We enjoyed floating on our tube at the dock. Tons of games are provided at the house which we enjoyed! Linens beds and towels were quality and comfy. Views are amazing. The walk down the hill and back can be tough for elderly or small children.

Quick getaway

We enjoyed our stay - only complaint - we didn't stay longer! The house was well appointed - clean and everything the listing said. We rented a pontoon boat one day and cruised all around the lake (until a storm popped up) and had a lovely time. SML is such a beautiful place. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Lake Views - outside needs a little TLC

Wish I could give 4 1/2 stars -Beautiful home with amazing lake views (sunrise and sunset). King sized beds in 3 of the rooms and also pet friendly! Checked all of our boxes! Kitchen spacious and well equipped - nice touches like cream cheese and butter in the fridge and assortment of coffees and creamers. Furniture very comfy (albeit a bit worn - but we didn't worry about having the dog on it). Nice extras like string lights on porch, itty bitty book light. Dock and boathouse very nice, esp upstairs sun deck. My husband really loved putting his bass boat on the covered boat lift esp. as we had a storm go through. Boat launch VERY close at nearby campground. Hot tub awesome with nice cover. No issues with hot water or plumbing. TV easy to operate. Outdoor furniture nice quality - loved rockers. Lots of outlets for charging. No internet issues. A few cons - furnishings a little worn but usable (it's a lake house after all). Disappointed that jacuzzi tub was not operational but hot tub more than made up for it. Some boat traffic but car traffic almost nonexistent since it's off the beaten path. About 15 mins of very winding roads from the Food Lion on 122 but very serene once u arrive. Upstairs master shower was smaller than expected but the "half bath" off kitchen has a nice tub/shower to use upstairs. Outside had lots of cobwebs and railing needs paint. But sun coming into the living room windows in the morning was awesome! Would rent here again!

Excellent place and excellent host

I was originally planning to stay here in February, but due to Covid contamination, I had to change the plan . Chris was able to accommodate another dates in March, and also the price was reduced and he even refunded the amount. He is very good and provides all the information that is needed. Also, this place has great location and safe as well. I would love to come back.
