Escape to the Lake Living

Welcome to our Lakehouse! Enjoy your Escape to the Lake while staying in our 2000 sq ft walk out secondary unit with beautiful views! Your 3 bedroom 1 bathroom open concept accommodations offer you a spacious spot to socialize after having spent the day swimming, fishing or lounging on the dock/deck. Pick blueberries or take nature walks by day then listen to the loons while roasting marshmallows in the summer. Our night sky is perfect for stargazing all year long too!

Enjoy waking up to beautiful views and the sounds of nature while staying in your very open concept lakefront abode. The 9ft ceiling basement apartment offers you two large bedrooms as well as a smaller one. You'll also find a spacious, fully equipped kitchen as well as a bbq for your cooking needs.

Inquire about possibility of booking only 2 bedrooms and getting a better price if you have a smaller group.

You will never have another group renting at the same time as your booking. Only my husband and I live on the main floor above. We're a fifty-something easy going couple that respect our guests' privacy but are conveniently close to take care of any problems or questions that may arise during your stay.

Catch musky, pickerel, pike, perch and bass from the dock or in the many bays on our lake too

Summer Fun: Being on the lake is THE best way to make lifetime memories – star gazing, jet skiing, water skiing, tubing, boating, kayaking, swimming, fishing…experience it all on Lake Nepewassi!

Enjoy a cold drink and jump into the lake from the dock, dive off our local cliff or have fun tubing and water skiing with your boat!

Relax in the Muskoka chairs and watch the sunset while you enjoy a glass of wine on the dock/deck......priceless!

Please note that the laundry facilities are reserved for guests staying 7 days or more.

Your last place to buy gas is when coming in from the south is the Gen 7 gas bar on Bekanon Rd off of hwy 69..... the gas bar in Wahnapitae if coming in from hwy 17 and the Canadian Tire gas bar if coming in from Sudbury.

A great family vacation

Monique and Mike were fantastic hosts. Great getaway location on a beautiful, quiet lake. Large open concept layout was perfect for our family. The large dock was the ideal place to enjoy the sunrise and sunset.

Our stay at the Nepewassi Lake was absolutely lovely! The house was cozy, spotless, and had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. The lake view was breathtaking, and we loved spending time by the water. Monique and Mike were such wonderful hosts: so welcoming, kind, and thoughtful, which made our stay even more special. Outdoor fun!

Beautiful home with a gorgeous view of the lake. Kids had fun kayaking and canoeing and paddle boarding and swimming in the lake. Hosts were great. The house was very clean.

Beautiful lakeside cottage

Beautiful spacious open-concept space with lots of natural light and 3 bedrooms. Felt very well maintained, modern, clean and cozy. Stunning backyard with dock great for fishing or relaxing. We look forward to returning again. Thank you for hosting us!

True escape

It was one of the best short vacations we had. Monique the host is amazing, she helped us resolve an issue with the booking, we felt welcomed. The property is right close to lakeshore, we coukd use the pedal board, canoe, life jackets, jumped from the private dock. The lake is beautiful, very isolated and peaceful. The apartment super clean, spacious, kitchen is huge, comfortable furniture, board games for kids, badminton. Highly recommended! Thank you for the great time!

Perfect place to stay while visiting Sudbury

We were looking for a place to stay while visiting Sudbury. This wonderful cottage was around 30 minutes from Science North, but was worth the trip in and of itself. We had space for our family to relax. The lake was warm for swimming. The roads around the cottage were quiet and perfect for hiking (and finding blueberries!). Having a canoe and kayak (and life jackets) provided adventure for my older kids, and we all enjoyed toasting marshmallows on a bonfire at night. Monique and Mike were perfect hosts and answered all our questions promptly. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful place!

My friends and I had nothing but great things to say about this location. It was beautiful, bright, spacious and has high ceilings. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need for making meals. They supplied extra bedding, pillows, games, movies, coffee/supplies, toiletries and even shampoo in the shower! Monique was so quick to respond to all of my questions. She was informative, kind and very welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay and was so glad we picked this location! We will definitely be back and even want to make it yearly girls trip! Thanks again Monique! : )

Better than expected!

Property and hosts exceeded our expectations, in every respect. Rooms were much larger than anticipated. Everything was perfectly clean. Moreover, there were many additions (games, appliances) which were more than helpful. The outdoor property was expansive, and offered everything from a playfield, to a large dock for water activities. Lastly, total privacy was provided. The only times we had interactions with hosts was when we sought assistance ourselves - which was always accommodating. A total success.

Friends Are Family

It was a lovely experience in Sudbury. Loved our stay at the Lakefront cottage. Monique our host was there to welcome us although we reached a little later than the set time. She is the best, a very friendly person. She gave us a tour of her cottage, explaining to us in detail everything. A very clean property. We loved it. Thank you, Monique. We will refer our family and friends to this lovely beautiful place.

My husband Mike and I are soooo happy to be able to offer you and yours, an Escape to the Lake. Enjoy nature at it's best, the beauty of the water, nights underneath the stars and the forest with all of its' marvelous sights and sounds.

Mon époux Michel et moi-même sommes heureux de vous offrir un endroit pour relaxer au lac... des soirées étoilées. la forêt avec toute ses odeurs et les sons de la nature.

With lake water that's generally at 80 degrees during the summer months, whether you like diving off our newly built floating dock, walking in to the lake by our gently sloping entry, lounging on our huuuuge deck/dock, playing bocce, badminton or volleyball on the grass or gazing at the stars and making S'mores by the fire at night, your Escape to the Lake will surely be a memorable one.

Lake Nepewassi offers excellent musky, pickerel, pike and bass fishing and is not as busy as lakes a little further south of us. Located in the biggest part of the lake, have fun waterskiing, tubing or simply cruising to explore our 14 mile lake.

Our lake is not as busy as those more to the south of us which makes it that much more pleasant to cruise slowly or take the kids out tubing or water skiing!

You'll enjoy nature walks in the trails or roads nearby while picking blueberries and raspberries. Many joggers, dog walkers and bikers are often seen exercising early during the summer months.

The children and parents will love our less traveled road...perfect for short strolls, collecting rocks or learning to ride a bicycle.

There are a few man made trails to explore just passed our driveway.
