We had a great week at the Muskoka River Cottage! The cottage was clean and well appointed and the location was awesome. The days spent on the dock, kayaking, paddling and canoeing were fun! Have a sauna and then cool off with a river swim! Greg was an excellent host and we’d definitely stay again!

Beautiful home with all the amenities you would hope for a retreat. Sauna (with precut wood and starter setup for use), kayak, paddleboard, canoe, life jackets, sun umbrella on deck are wonderful. House has great beds, furniture, kitchen and appliances to make yourself at home. Enjoyed our stay and the host was very responsive to follow-up communications.

We loved our visit. Everything was as described on the listing. The check in process was clear and straight forward. We even had a couple questions and our host was kind, prompt, and clear with answers. We appreciated the little things like bug spray and electric fly swatters. This is one of the best VRBO places we have stayed and would definitely recommend and stay here again. We were even able to make a birthday cake!

This cottage was a 10 out of 10! Greg was a great host and the house was everything we wanted and more. It was so clean and the kitchen was equipped like we were at home! We felt so at home here and everything was exactly as it was in the description. The river was gorgeous-very quiet, so much wildlife, great swimming, boating, and sunsets on the dock. We used the kayak and paddle board every day, it was great to have them at our disposal. Also very close to Bracebridge if we needed groceries. I cannot say enough about this property, we’re already planning to return next summer. Thanks again Greg, we had a wonderful holiday!

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful cottage and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better getaway!Greg, the host, was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and easy to deal with from start to finish. The cottage itself was gorgeous, spacious, and exceptionally clean. We’ve stayed at quite a few VRBOs, and this one really stood out — it had more amenities than we’re used to finding, which made our stay that much more comfortable and enjoyable.There was so much to do! We went hiking, swimming, and canoeing, and spent plenty of time enjoying the beautiful outdoors. One of the highlights was watching our 2-year-old Golden Retriever finally work up the courage to jump off the dock — definitely a memory we’ll never forget!We also had a great BBQ, enjoyed evenings around the campfire, and simply loved spending quality time together at the cottage. It was the perfect place to relax, have fun, and make some great memories.We will definitely be going back! If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate — you won’t be disappointed! Highly recommended!

The perfect cottage for a small group of friends

Great vacation home! Clean, perfect layout for our family. Nice clean water for swimming, the kids chased frogs and turtles and swam all day. We played bocce ball on the grass and the sauna and outdoor shower was a delight. Bracebridge is a great town that has everything you need including Santas Village Amusement Park which made for a great day. Highly recommended!

Great property—so beautiful!

My wife, a friend, and I had a great time at this lovely, spcaious property: fantastic views; gorgeous modern house (but still with old-world charms); good communication with property owner; super-high ceilings; amazing sauna (my first sauna ever!); and just overall very well appointed in every way that matters. We had a glorious time, and would love to go back one day.

Good stay

Great stay

Fantastic second stay at our favorite Muskoka retreat

We had an amazing stay! Greg was an excellent host and a fantastic communicator — he made everything so easy for check in. The house itself was beautiful, spotless, and perfectly set up for a relaxing getaway. Greg went above and beyond by providing all the water toys we could possibly need — kayaks, paddleboards, and more — which made our time on the water so much fun. The location was peaceful and scenic, yet close enough to everything we needed. Overall, this was the perfect spot for both adventure and relaxation. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable vacation.

Magical Snow Escape

As always, this property is wonderful, particularly in the wintertime! There is lots to do outdoors in the surrounding area. The hosts even provided some treats for Valentines Day, which was very thoughtful! We look forward to returning again!

Great place for vacation

We had a wonderful experience and will come back an again for sure. The location is fantastic as it is in a quiet area with good distance from neighbours. The house and amenities were great. All the toys and fun stuff needed to enjoy a true cottage bacation. were provided.

Summer cottage getaway

We had the most amazing week on this cottage! It was beautiful and clean and perfect stay for my husband myself and our 14 month old daughter. There was a ton of outdoor space and a great waterfront. Greg was a wonderful host and provided us with everything we could need and was very responsive for all of our questions! We would absolutely stay here again!

The perfect getaway

We had amazing experience. The house and property are fantastic , our family enjoyed every minute of our stay. Hosts gave very clear instructions and house was well equipped and clean. Firing up the Sauna was easy and plunging in the river right after was delightful!

Winter Paradise!

This was our family's second time renting this amazing cottage and it was just as wonderful as the first time. Lots of places to explore nearby, clear and star filled skies at night, and a good amount of snow to enjoy! Greg, the host, was a gracious and attentive as ever. We definitely recommend a getaway here and hope to be back!

This waterfront property is amazing. It was so clean and welcoming as soon as we walked in. The host was very responsive and accommodating. I loved all the gorgeous windows that brought in so much sunlight. On top of all that, the water is so peaceful! 10/10! We will definitely be back again! Amazing Stay!!!

As soon as we saw the house, it was beautiful and we couldn’t wait to begin our vacation! The house was very clean, amazing views and a dream away from home. We loved how the house was in the middle of everything if you had to make a run to Walmart or shopping. We especially loved the water view and how quiet and peaceful it was. Exceptional vacation

The cottage is stunning and luxurious. Exactly as advertised and more. Swam off the dock and paddled the river to falls every day. Rainy days in the Muskoka room are what it was designed for. Loved the days we spent there making happy family memories. Hope to spend time there again in the future. Thank you Greg and Kathleen for a wonderful vacation.

It was a lifelong dream for me to have a cottage. I bought this piece of land and worked at it over 5 years. I built the sauna and the dock first and lived in a prospector tent. When Covid hit, I took the opportunity to build the cottage full time. We are truly looking forward to sharing our dream and love of nature with you.
