I am so glad i found this little gem. It's so peaceful and had amazing views of the sunrise, sunset and the stars at night. The host provided excellent communication. Even though the location is right off a main road the headlights are definitely not a problem when stargazing. The property was clean and easy to find with the host's directions. I would bring along some firewood for the firepit. You can find some nearby but it's more expensive. We brought reclining lawn chairs to stargaze which saved our neck some strain. If you're looking for a nice quiet place, this is it!

My family loved our time at this property. We visited mid-October during a new moon so there were very dark skies. This property is perfect for those that want to experience the best of the dark skies without disruptions from lights from town or neighbors. The RV was stocked with all the basic kitchen supplies and seasonings, toilet paper, trash sacks, fire wood, s’mores sticks, hand soap. The bed in the main bedroom is incredibly comfortable, that room is a bit stagnant but we brought a fan so it worked for us just fine. The couch in the living area pulls out to a bed and lacks some in support, but a kid won’t notice. We had incredible views of the mountains, the mesa, and an incoming storm, and the beautiful RV covering and porch made great evenings outside to stay out of the rain. The provided a great fire pit that was perfect for smores! Pam, the property owner, is very easy to correspond with and promptly responded to my questions. The directions listed are very accurate, so pay attention to them! Please don’t book this place and ding them bad reviews bc you didn’t research properly and you really wanted to be in the middle of the limelight, bc it takes about 30 min to get to Terlingua and about 45 min to get to Big Bend. Save this place for people like me and my family who enjoy solitude, because we will be booking here again! Thank you Pam for a great stay!

Kitchen had all the essentials. I brought cases of water with me as the water in tanks is not "potable". The scenery and peaceful atmosphere, night sky was amazing. Stay was enjoyable & good value

It was very clean, and the bed was comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed. We had a fire outside and watched the beautiful stars, only three cars drove by so it was nice and dark! I only wish the location was closer to the park, about 45 min, but that’s my fault, I should’ve looked! Otherwise, I would recommend.

Our host, Ms Pam was great. The futon in the living room is not very comfortable. The bed in the bedroom was great! Little trash can in the kitchen is broken. Be careful of the cute donkeys that run loose on the main highway.Fire pit rocked, kitchen was well stocked. Propane grill worked great. The stars were unbelievable. Without too much of a line at the part entrance. You can make the basin in about an hour.

Perfect base camp for spending time in Big Bend NP. Dark skies were awesome!

Big Bend Trip

The RV was typical for an RV. Not something everyone is going to like. We loved it and its surroundings. You could see the sunrise from inside if you didn’t want to bundle up and go outside. The views are spectacular. The stars abundant. The little store next door very helpful.

Excellent Get Away

We enjoyed the remoteness but it was centrally located for our purpose. We enjoyed the dark skies, the sun rise and sun set.

Beautiful location

Secluded Desert Stay

This place was perfect for our girls trip. The RV was the perfect size for us. We make smores and sausage on the fire. The sky at night was absolutely beautiful.

Nice getaway place

We enjoyed our stay. Nice views. The camper had everything we needed. We especially liked the outside seating area. Our only real complaint is that it is located farther from Terlingua (25 minutes) and Big Bend (40 minutes) than we thought. This can be good or bad depending on what you are looking for.

Perfect location for stargazing

Location was easy to find in the day but we could see having difficulty arriving the first time after dark. The location was peaceful and quiet and perfect for stargazing.

Beautiful location

The location is amazing. The views both at night and during the dawn/dusk times are worth being away from town. The RV is really all anyone would want for a couple. Be aware that the layout of the RV has steps that are a challenge for anyone with any walking disabilities. Everything else is wonderful.

A wonderful host!

We had the best time! It was wonderful to have the Little Burro Country Store close by. I loved how remote it felt and yet how close it was to services in Terlingua. The place was well appointed, clean, and beautiful. Everyone involved in hosting was gracious and kind. We will be back!

Big Bend Adventure

The camper was exactly as described. We enjoyed the peaceful and quiet evenings on the patio. Did not use the stove or oven but we did use the outdoor gas grill. The propane heater worked great to take off the morning chill.Would stay here again without hesitation.Thank you.
