Wonderful beach front paradise!

We had a wonderful stay at the beautiful Pineapple Beach House! Tim & Michelle made it super easy from the time we booked our stay until the time we left. Easy communication and the house had everything you would ever need. The view was gorgeous and the easy beach walk was amazing, lots of beautiful shells to be found. The West End area was a slower pace than Freeport and just what we wanted. We met lots of locals and enjoyed exploring. Thank you!!

Best of the best!!!

We stayed at this amazing house for my daughters senior spring break. We had an amazing time and this property is just gorgeous. We did not have to leave the house much because there was so much provided. I highly suggest you choose this property to have a very relaxing vacation. We will definitely be back again!

What a wonderful place to come, thank you Diane for having us back again!

Second visit here, beautiful ocean, beautiful and welcoming people. The snorkeling gear and amazing coral reef rewarded us with sweet lobster three nights in a row. Purchased local shrimp and stone crab, amazing! We will definitely be back, as we love the ability to come to the tropics without the hassle and noise associated with the tourist traps.

Perfect place to get away from it all.

Amazing home with an amazing ocean view. A very private beach with shells, coral, rocks and sand galore. A very tranquil place to rest with ocean waves to lull you to sleep. So restful and heavenly. This home had everything you could possibly need and Michelle was readily available for communication when necessary. Would definitely stay here again!!

Amazing Relaxing Vacation

Tim and Michelle are amazing hosts. Their home is in the quiet neighborhood of Booty Bay right on the water. It was just what are family needed. We enjoyed kayaking, snorkeling and exploring Grand Bahama Island. The people on the island are amazing. We got to know a number of Bahamians who either knew our hosts or had heard of them. For anyone considering West End, I highly recommend this place! For those wondering about safety, Grand Bahama is a very safe place. Our youngest daughter, 18yrs, ran 10 miles twice ( practicing for a half marathon) while we were there and felt perfectly safe. In fact she met a couple who also were marathoners. Again, this is a perfect place to stay, especially for families who just want to breath and relax!

Like owning your own beach in the Bahamas!

Owner Diane and caretaker Eric were outstanding to help make this a memorable trip for our family. You won't find a place to stay better stocked for your beach vacation. Kayaks, snorkeling gear, hammock, fishing tackle, and more. Amazing views, your own private beach, perfect weather, and a fully stocked, beautiful house to stay in make this a wonderful place to stay. Just be sure to bring swim shoes for the ocean since you have the privilege of exploring plenty of coral and natural marine life. If you want the perfect sandy beach experience, take a drive down to Gold Rock Beach in Port Lacaya National Park, home of the most beautiful beach in the Caribbean.

Secluded Island Vacation

Our family is scattered over various states in the US. This vacation was a way for us to get together and enjoy some relaxation and make some forever memories! The home is definitely off the beaten path and has a very private beach. We enjoyed snorkeling on the reef nearby and relaxing and shell seeking on the beach. Prior to our visit, Tim and Michelle joined us on a Zoom call and provided some valuable information about the island. We enjoyed a Bahamian dinner cooked at the house by their recommended chef. A rental car is a must and driving on the other side of the road was not as daunting as expected as the traffic is minimal. The accommodations were as expected and very comfortable. To ensure a good fit it is recommended that visitors bring their own masks and snorkels. There are plenty of fins. Overall it was a great experience and we are very thankful to our hosts for sharing their place in paradise with us!

As delightful as described!

In short - the home was exactly as described; very nice with EVERYthing you may want in a kitchen, supplies, towels, tp, etc! Diane is GREAT w/her communication ( I may have a new friend, lol). Eric was just as kind and helpful as he has been described; he made it SO easy to transport from/to the airport, have rental car at the home for us, give us info on the area, etc...Although we did not call on him much, he was available ASAP. TOTALLY private. Very kind people everywhere and TOTALLY laid back.

60th Birthday celebration

This trip was amazing and beyond our expectations. Michelle and Tim could not have been more available and welcoming. They zoomed with our party of 5 and answered all of our questions before our arrival. The house is beautiful, more than comfortable and well stocked with every imaginable kitchen need or necessity and the screened in lanai overlooking the water was blissful They provided contact with a driver, Ronaldo who was there for our every need. We swam right off the beach to a live reef for amazing snorkeling and they introduced us to Branae, who cooked an authentic Bahamian meal for us as our final send off and capped a week off! We hated to leave and we’re all still talking about it!

A great home-away-from-home we thoroughly enjoyed

My family had a wonderful stay at the Pineapple House. It's an oceanfront property that met or exceeded our expectations. 1) The beds are comfy and the rooms large with large bathrooms. 2) The WiFi worked great and was used for work and play including movies/tv. 3) The washer and dryer are nice and very useful. 4) The local restaurants are excellent. 5) My family enjoyed the provided activities included in the property from ping-pong to snorkeling gear and kayaks. 6) Hermit crabs galore were a favorite of my youngest two boys and they spend many hours collecting and releasing them. 7) Eric, the property manager, was very helpful with connections to local fisherman and directions to eateries, the local grocery store, gas station, etc. 8) The location between the west end and Freeport was nice and didn't limit us to one or the other. We are really looking forward to returning one day and we can't thank the property owners enough for renting us their house. We did a lot of bucketlist items on this vacation and I don't think it will ever be beat with such a highbar being set.

Beautiful home and coral reef

The house is lovely, plenty of room for 9 travelers. Tim and Michelle are wonderful hosts and beyond helpful. Beautiful beach and coral reef. We loved all their little touches that made everything so special. We loved sitting outside at night on the screened lanai to watch the sunset and listen to the waves lapping over the rocks. There are plenty of areas and tidal pools to find treasures. The reef is unbelievable and honestly, no other place on the island rivaled the amount of marine life we saw on the doorstep. Michelle and Tim make sure that everyone was taken care of. We cooked In several meals and had everything we needed. The local restaurants in west end are great. The neighbors and all the people we met treated us with sunny kindness. I had a sinus infection and had to go to tue 8 mile rock clinic. Dr Rolle and nurse Garvey were outstanding. They have national health care here so I only paid around $40 for medication and the visit. Well worth the trip. I feel like Michelle and Tim are our friends now.

The most amazing house

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Pineapple Beach House!! The house was clean, organized, and had everything we could ever need. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels, snorkel gear, beach chairs, beach bags, fans in every room. The kitchen was fully stocked with literally every dish or piece of kitchen equipment we could think of. There was even coffee and filters, dish soap, hand soap, toilet paper, etc there when we arrived. We have stayed at plenty of rentals that don't have any of those things. The owners were wonderful, very easy to communicate with. Michelle helped me to arrange getting a THE BEST rum cake for a celebration we had while we were there. Even if you aren't celebrating you should get a cake from Miss Claudia in Freeport, you won't be sad you did! The owners had suggestions for restaurants, markets, excursions, getting fresh fish/lobster etc. We went snorkeling at Paradise Cove (highly recommend) and had an excellent time at the Pink Pearl Restaurant right down the street from the house. We stayed after dinner to do Karaoke (Sunday nights) and had a blast. There were tons of shells on the beach, the water and reef right outside the house we're beautiful. Deep Sea Fishing with Lil B Fishing in Freeport was another highlight of our trip. I can't say enough good things about our experience!

amazing beach vacation!

Our group had an incredible stay at the Pineapple House! We were two couples and two toddlers and this house provided us with a perfect tropical vacation to get away from the cold winter. As others have said, the location can't be beat. You truly feel like you have your own private beach. We spent just about every day on the beach enjoying the hammock (amazing), kayaks, swimming and taking walks. This is a great house to bring kids to as it is very safe, the beach is RIGHT there and the screened in porch gives them extra room to run around. If we weren't on the beach we were enjoying the porch. We had coffee out there in the mornings and spent every night out there listening to the waves without having to deal with bugs! The house itself is gorgeous, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was perfect for cooking all of our meals and there was a grill as well. I think we only ate out for two meals, once when we visited Old Bahama Bay and again when we went to Port Lucaya (both I would recommend visiting). I have to talk about Eric because he truly made our trip special. If you need anything at all, Eric can get it for you. He's incredibly friendly, helpful and was always reachable. Get your car through him! Honestly having someone pick you up and then drop you off at the airport without having to wait on either end was a huge bonus. We did use the van frequently through the week as well, I don't know that you'd want to go without. We also utilized the service to do grocery shopping for us beforehand which I would highly recommend. It was amazing just to start our vacation the moment we got off of the plane! Diane was incredibly easy to work with and went above and beyond to answer our many questions leading up to the trip. We also met some of the neighbors who were so kind and helpful. There are so many other great things I could say about this house, I certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation in paradise and we hope that we will be able to return as well!

The house was privately located, we never saw any other people on the beach, if you are looking for a place to get away its great. Views of the ocean were great. The screened in covered porch was a great place to hang out. Beach is nice and close, but rocky. Kitchen was well stocked; we ate most of our meals at the house. Our Host Tim was very helpful with any problems or questions that we had, he responded very quickly. Thanks Tim and Michelle we enjoyed our stay at your house

A very pleasant stay!

The Pineapple House is an awesome place to stay. We had seven in our party (3 1/2 couples all over 60) and found the accommodations and location quite enjoyable for our 7 night stay. The stairs leading up to the living area were a bit of a challenge for a couple of us but Tim & Michelle are in the process of replacing them so that shouldn’t be an issue much longer. The beach is quite private - we only saw about 6 people walking by the entire stay - and provided some great beach combing - shells galore! As with any beach there will be various “trash” items that float ashore so do your part and grab a small trash bag when you go for your walk to pick up what you can. The beach into the water is a bit rocky where the house sits but a short walk down it will make barefoot access much easier. The reef is a short swim out and provides phenomenal snorkeling. There is abundant snorkeling equipment and 4 kayaks available. The kitchen is well stocked with all the necessary implements as well as an ample supply of spices. As far as the sleeping accommodations goes the posting is a bit deceiving. Each master bedroom has one (1) King bed (not 2) and the third bedroom has a Queen and a single hide-a-bed (not 3 Queens). However it did accommodate the 7 of us well. Having 3 bathrooms was a huge plus. The house location out in the West End is fairly isolated from the major commercial areas (stores, restaurants, etc. ) of Freeport - about a 40 minute drive - but there is a small grocery store and liquor store about 10 minutes away. While the neighborhoods on most of the Island are quite impoverished - especially after the devastating hurricane - the Bahamian people all are very friendly and very helpful. We will be back for sure!!

Thank you for the review and for bringing to our attention the oversight with the number of beds in our description. We certainly did not mean to deceive anyone. We assumed that "number" was for number of people each bedroom could sleep. We have since corrected this error AND included a NEW (4th) bedroom we recently added! Happy you patronized our local small market! We hope you were also able to go to the restaurants (minutes from the home) and enjoy the great food!

We spent 11 days with our 4 boys and 1 girl at the pineapple house! This house has plenty of activities packed inside and out. The reef outside is magic…period. Best snorkeling we’ve ever seen! Caught and released a lobster(with our hands), queen trigger fish, red snapper, barracuda, squirrel fish and more. The four kayaks onsite were big enough to carry all 7 of us together. Even on a rainy day we all played darts, had a ping pong tournament, and hysterically got to see a crane fly away with one of our water shoes…thief!!! Kids loved it! Parents loved it! We wanted a private…active…getaway and this house fit the bill! Only 5 people walked by the house all 11 days. Recommend making a fire on the beach at night. Caretaker Eric is on call at all times! Ready to help with any request. His rental van was perfect! Thank you Diane for sharing your home with us. We could tell immediately that you’ve poured your heart into this home! Pineapple House

Diane went over and above to accommodate us. If I had questions, her responses were prompt and thorough. We enjoyed playing darts, ping pong, snorkeling, and kayaking. The beach was beautiful and full of adventure for my two year old grandson. The house was clean and welcoming. Oh, and the screened in porch with the magnificent view of the ocean was enjoyed by all. If we needed anything Diane thoughtfully had anything we needed available. The local people were to welcoming to us. We highly recommend vacationing in the Pineapple House.

Wonderful Getaway Property

Of all the vacation homes/properties I've used, this by far was one of the better places my family and I have stayed. Diane was EXTREMELY helpful with the booking process. She gave great recommendations and little tips prior to our stay. In regards to the actual house, the pictures do not do it justice. It was clean and spacious. It was completely stocked with just about any and everything you could think of, both necessity and for pleasure. They literally have thought of everything. The home is very seclude, which could be a positive or a negative depending on how you plan on spending your vacation. We invited the seclusion, so it was perfect for us. Our entire stay we saw another human on the beach once! It really felt like it was own private beach. Eric was also very helpful. He gave us a tour and pointed out some places we should visit. He even offered to cook for us which we completely forgot to take him up on (shame on us). All in all it was a very relaxing trip. **Side Note: I would definitely recommend that you take advantage of the grocery delivery service, as the nearest full grocery store is 30 minutes away.

Private Paradise!

This beautiful home is on a secluded beach but still a short drive to all the tourist attractions. We were met at the airport by Eric who first took us to the grocery store before heading to the house, where he had a rental van waiting for us. The home is very well equipped with 2 master suites, large screened porch overlooking the beach, kayaks, sun shade, beach chairs, mask, snorkels & fins. Definitely have Eric cook a true Bahamian meal for you because he's an excellent chef. We called on Eric frequently to ask questions, make requests, and he was always available for us. He even brought us firewood for a beach bonfire. If you are looking for your own private paradise, this is the place!

Beautiful home with amazing screened in porch

Enjoyed our stay and the porch. Caretakers and neighbors were friendly and offered good information about the island. I wish I had talked to the neighbor before we went to find out about the cruise ship from Florida to Freeport and back instead of flying. Comfortable beds and plenty of room in the house. The ladder "stairs" getting into the house were not mentioned and glad none of our party had any trouble getting up and down them. No hot tub as advertised. The hot water heater can not keep up - even one shower may be to much for the second shower to happen. Water temperature was more warm then hot. Would never be enough hot water to take a bath even if they did work.

Hi Judy, I’m glad you enjoyed yourselves. We have two jacuzzi tubs that fit two people in each suite. If you look at the pictures on our website you can clearly see them. We do not “advertise “ a “hot tub”. We also have two water heaters one that is electric and the other that is gas. We get scolding hot water if needed, We were there two days before you therefore, I know this to be true. We also have a 40 gallon water heater. In the massive amount of information I leave I do give a key note is to run it for a few mins prior to getting in. We also have provided information on how to switch over with a single turn of a knob if you weren’t getting enough hot water. I’m sorry if you did not see that on the large sign when you come in and out of the house. I also don’t understand why the steps were mentioned if you did not have a problem with them. They are NOT "ladder" stairs they are beautifully custom built african mahogany STAIRS. Have you ever be to Europe? Now those are some stairs. Lol. Not only is our home exceptionally clean, We supply every need and luxury you could ever want. Believe me I’ve been at enough vacation retails to know that we are top notch. Being on the OCD side and a perfectionist ,not happy with a four star but at least Im thrilled you enjoyed your stay. Diane

Highly Recommend !!

This was our second visit. Eric was always available to assist with questions and was able to obtain fresh lobster for my family. The reef (near the house) was like our own private aquarium. We all enjoyed our time on Diane's property.

Great house in a secluded part of the island!

Wonderful house, spacious with all the amenities needed located in a secluded part of the island. We had a great time, explored a little of bit of the island, cooked a lot at our home. We strongly recommend renting a car to get around. Hosts and ground keeper were there for all our needs!

The previous owners, Diane and Kevin, did an amazing job constructing and styling this beautiful dwelling. We can't wait to build upon what is already established and continue to make it one the of best rated beach houses on VRBO.

When you walk into the house your eyes take you right out to the views of the ocean. Once you are able to take your eyes off of the outside view and look around, you notice the stunning architecture. The high wood ceilings are truly a work of art.
