In the peaceful mountainside near Luray, find your ideal retreat in this cozy two-bedroom cottage. Nestled in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, you'll be just a short 20-minute drive from the breathtaking Luray Caverns, a 30-minute drive from the Thornton Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park and walking distance to Shenandoah River Outfitters for kayaking, canoeing or tubing on the river.
We’re pet friendly (dogs only), so feel free to bring your furry friend along for your stay!

Unwind by the crackling fireplace (electric) or enjoy a movie night on the smart TV after a day of exploring. Stay connected with the free WIFI, or challenge your travel companions to a friendly game competition. When hunger strikes, you'll have a fully stocked kitchen at your fingertips, complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, grill, and all the essential cookware and dining essentials you need to whip up delicious meals.

Great Cabin

Very clean and homey. Also conveniently right near the river, next time we come we hope we can get the same place. Great porch for sitting.

A peaceful retreat

Enjoyed a quiet, off-season weekend in the mountains. The cabin was clean and cozy. Great location, close to Skyline Drive and hiking in the area.

Much needed break!

Wonderful retreat from a busy life! The cabin was immaculately cleaned and ready for us. We had forgotten a few items and were so pleased our hosts had happened to have those items ready! All the things we just didn't think of, they had available for us. We had such a wonderful time and were so grateful that we could bring our dogs. We would definitely love to return!!

FUN IN LURAY

The cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway to hike in Shenandoah National Park. All needed amenities were present and the cabin was very clean and accommodating. Would like to return some day soon.

Cozy family retreat

My husband and I brought our two kiddos for a fun family weekend in Shenandoah. The cabin was perfect for our family and we had a great time. Our hosts were super friendly and helpful. Everything we needed was in the cabin! Secluded and peaceful but easy to get to SNP and sites in Luray.

Beautiful property

We stayed here to hike Old Rag and see Luray Caverns. Very convenient to both. Secluded setting and very comfortable! If you want to tube the Shenandoah, it couldn’t be more perfect. Easy check in and check out.

A good memory

Our seven day stay was very memorable. Close to Luray, and close to things to see, do, and enjoy. Most things were 20 minutes or so away, but it was easy to head off in almost any direction. Scenic overlooks, the caverns, eateries and more all within a short drive. Very nice cabin and exceptional hosts.

The cabin was a perfect spot for a weekend getaway with our little family of four. A short drive from the caverns, it was a quiet spot to eat, snuggle in front of the TV, and play provided boardgames with the kids. Our 8-year-old thought the loft was magical, and my spouse and I appreciated a well-stocked kitchen, ice cold window AC units, and a clean space. Our old pup was even happy with the accomodations and the provided "dog sheet" to allow him couch time. We also were extremely pleased to have simple and reasonable check-out procedures. We won't hesitate to check this cabin out first for availability when we're back in the area!

Great place to stay while sightseeing in the area!

This cabin is a great place to stay, and we couldn't be happier with our visit here. It is in a great location if you are touring Shenandoah National Park and the Luray Caverns. It is also only a 2-hour drive to the DC area. The cabin was spotless, had everything we needed, and the hosts were available within minutes by text message. Also, check-in and check-out were a breeze. This was a great stay! Many thanks to our hosts!

Relaxing Getaway

This cozy cabin has everything you need. Even though it was a bit too wet to enjoy the fire pit in the evenings, the covered porch was awesome. Really enjoyed having my morning coffee while relaxing in the rocking chair listening to the birds. The surrounding area is very peaceful and yet Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns and all the beauty the area has to offer are in close proximity.

Moonlight Memories was amazing!

Becky and David have thought of everything! They have given careful consideration as to what their guests need, and have taken care of it. The emails were informative. If I had any questions, they were quick to communicate. The cabin is clean and cozy. We enjoyed our visit very much. If anything negative could be said it would be that we didn't get to stay long enough. 5 Stars!!!

Comfortable and clean

This cute and comfortable cabin in the woods was perfect for a couple of nights with my husband, kids and dog. It was a good location as restaurants and a grocery store were not too far a drive away and the Shenandoah National Park was an easy 40 minute scenic drive away. Becky was wonderful and helpful as she suggested some restaurants for my husband’s birthday dinner out. She was also understanding and helpful when we had a hiccup keeping track of our key to the rental. 😳 Overall a wonderful experience and one we would happily repeat in the future!

Wedding Weekend

We attended a wedding at the Westcott House on Saturday and stayed at the delightful Moonlight Memories for the weekend. It was super close to the venue which was perfect for us since my husband was officiating the wedding. The cabin was perfect, had everything we needed. David and Becky were perfect hosts and very responsive. We definitely would recommend it to anyone who was planning a weekend retreat near Luray. Thanks for a great weekend. Bob, Donna, and Haley.

Lovely place

Ideal location for a couple, or a couple with 1 or 2 small children. Remote (quiet) location with easy access to the Shenandoah river, Luray, or Shenandoah National Park. Host is very attentive to details.

We enjoy time with family, love being grandparents and although we do enjoy traveling, living near the beautiful Shenandoah River and among the beauty of the George Washington National forest makes every day feel like a vacation!
