A landscape of mature green and white trees and a beautiful pond is what you'll see when you arrive at this cozy, secluded, full log cabin.
Lounging on the deck or in the screened porch, or relaxing next to a roaring fire in the outdoor firepit has been a favorite pastime for many guests.
This beautiful, fully stocked cabin is the perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking Houghton Falls, Lost Creek Falls, Meyers Beach, or shopping in nearby Bayfield or Cornucopia.

Everything was amazing. The host gave us great travel and food references. The cabin is only a short drive to Bayfield and the ferry to Madeline Island. The cabin was a perfect central location for us to drive to our different hikes in the area we had picked out prematurely. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Cozy and amazing cabin!We absolutely loved staying at this wonderful cabin in the woods! It was very relaxing and exactly where we needed to be. Kristin does a beautiful job decorating and is in tune with having everything that was needed for our stay. She went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our visit! I highly recommend staying here and the location is close to all the areas we like to visit!

Perfect little cabin. So easy to kick back and relax and with local attractions being just 15-20 min away the location was perfect. Clean cabin, very responsive and kind host. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking to explore the beautiful Bayfield area.

Peaceful stay!

This sweet cabin was exceptional in terms of amenities, quiet, dog friendly, and cleanliness. We did a lot of hiking, returning "home" to a peaceful place. I was sad to leave!

Beautify restored cabin with modern updates and fully stocked kitchen for dining and cooking. Comfortable bed with great linens and high quality towels. Screened porch is great as you are sharing the summer with the mosquitos and black flies. It is the WI north woods.

Wow..was the first word that came to mind when we walked into this cabin..Rustic with modern updates made it cozy and comfortable..Cleanliness was top notch.A screened back porch looking over a serene back yard with a private pond was amazing and so well thought out..Our host Kristin kept in touch..If I could rate this a 10,I would..Everything was Perfect!! And our dogs agreed.

We had a great stay with our dog! It was so nice to be secluded in the woods but yet close to Bayfield. The cabin itself was exactly as described and in the pictures. It has everything you need to be comfortable and we were happily surprised to find little thoughtful things like small lights by the bed if you needed to get up during the night, and a lot of outdoor options to relax and play at the cabin. We loved hearing the bull frogs in the pond and spent a lot of time in the screened in porch. We will definitely try to book this again when we are next in the Bayfield area.

I can't wait to go back!

This cabin was absolutely perfect! It is so well stocked, beautifully decorated, cozy, comfortable, everything we look for in a get away. We had a perfect long weekend, and are already looking to book it again.

Relaxing Stay

The cabin was perfect for us, the pond is charming and the screened in porch was perfect for enjoying it. The cabin is a good blend of feeling like you are in the woods but also close enough to Bayfield and the Apostle Islands to have some fun day trips!

Bird hunting and trout fishing couple

Perfect weekend getaway in Apostle Islands

This cute little cabin had everything we needed and more! Oven, fridge/freezer, grill for cooking. A little screened in porch to enjoy the outdoors without the bugs along with a fire pit for evening fun and a pond right outside the door that my dogs (especially my lab) loved! The location was great, just 10 miles from Bayfield and 1 mile from the closest Lakeshore view at Little Sand Bay. The host was friendly, attentive and ensured that the property was clean and well stocked for our stay.

Stay at the squirrel

Very cozy cabin. Secluded and quiet. Nice screened in porch to relax in and unwind after a day of site seeing. Only a short drive to the beach. Property owner was very helpful with information about the area.

Cozy cabin

We loved this cabin! The cabin was cute and tidy. It was secluded and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the screened in porch and wood burning stove. It was wonderful to see and hear the wildlife. Would definitely want to stay here again!

Perfect getaway

Beautiful cabin and property. We brought our dogs. Room to run, trails to walk, very close drive to beach . Great restaurants and gift shops. Everything thing we needed and more. Looking forward to returning. Thank you K!

Excellent!

Very nice place. Very clean, cozy, well furnished. So nice, yet comfortable. Private, quiet location, tucked in the woods. Fun squirrel themed decor. Definitely will stay again. Easy checkin, simple checkout. Great location, minutes from Little Sand beach.

Mini vacation

The cabin was beautiful with a wonderful setting. It was fully furnished. The Wi-Fi worked great because in that area there was no reception, so that was great. We went in the month of June and the mosquitoes were terrible so be prepared. I would highly recommend the cooper squirrel cabin.

Weekend getaway

This was a perfect stay for my dog and I. I was up here for and completed the 2.1 mile Madeline Island swim. It was a great event. I loved that Kristin was very communicative and thought of every amenity. That was greatly appreciated! It is cozy, 2 people and a dog max for whoever is wondering, but I definitely plan to stay here again when I’m in the area next!

Woods retreat

Stayed in summer which was beautiful, but reading comments in guest book, obvious a wonderful location in cooler times. Very cozy inside, with screened porch for outside sitting time. Well equipped kitchen. Clean, and obvious care taken with fun decoration of north woods and Rusty Squirrel connection!
