The beds were comfortable, but the linens and towels were cheap hotel grade. The kitchen wasn’t stocked with much for cooking, but we made due. The Phoenix V is an older building and the unit overall could use updating. Unfortunately, the pool and splash pad were closed while we were there, something we were unaware of at the time of booking. We love the beach, so we spent all our time there. The location was great. Walmart and Publix were within a few miles which made shopping easy. Many restaurants in the area for those nights we didn’t want to cooked.

The condo was lovely and the amenities were nice. The splash pad is a bit noisy, but nice that it is off in the morning so you cannhear the waves. Of note, I wish there was a little more flexibility with check in and check out times. Also, would welcome a little more transparency about the added cost of parking (55/vehicle for the stay). The single skillet was lacking; you couldn't scramble eggs without them sticking horribly. We had to purchase stuff just to clean it effectively as well as additional dishwasher pods and trash bags (for which will not even fit our home can). For the cost, more than one dishwasher pod, two trash bags and enough toilet paper would be nice added amenities.

Kids First Beach Vacation

We had the best experience here. The kids made memories for their first beach vacation that will stay with them forever. Overall, wonderful stay!

Need starter coffee filters. Kitchen utensils very sparse. Need to replace the can opener. It doesn’t work. Need a spatula. Only one kitchen towel and dish cloth. Unit very clean. Beautiful view. We enjoyed our stay but had to make do with one kitchen towel and few utensils.

The condo is on the ocean, you look out your sliding glass door and you can hear the ocean. The master bedroom has a sliding glass door that is also ocean front. We visited many condos on the east coast but none compares or come close to being on the Gulf Coast Orange Beach Al. We make this trip at least once every year and is never disappointed.

Great location! Great view!

Condo was as advertised. Clean and comfortable The only complaint we had was the unit above us seemed to have construction(or something ) going on late at night and early morning. We could hear tools and scraping across the floor. Annoying at times.

Not Impressed too many problems

The Kitchen had bad cooking pan's stuck and dirty. we had to go buy some. 1 towel No pot holders, Pan's that were there were dirty, Can opener was broke, coffee pot was dirty, Bed's mattress were awful broke down with a hole in the middle you rolled into. Toliet rocked when you sat down. Balcony was dirty. Washer machine did not clean and was very loud. General apperance of this Condo Unit was old and needs repair. Floors in main lobby has tape on tile's Elevator's were dirty glass was nasty. We stayed in a Phoenix before this one and that is the reason we choose this unit. However I will Not go back to Phoenix 5 again.!

Great stay overall...but ASK questions prior to booking!

Overall, our stay was great - the condo was clean, well-furnished, had beautiful views, and was centrally located to all the fun stuff. Our problems came into play immediately after booking and making the nonrefundable payment. I then received an email letting me know that 2 of the 4 elevators at the complex were having maintenance. This was not disclosed on the property details or I would've booked elsewhere. I've been in large complexes like this and had long waits for elevators when they were ALL working, so I knew this would be a pain. And it was. We waited nearly a half hour at one stretch and had two very small children with us. Not ok. Also, upon arrival and trying to park in a handicap spot, we saw they were all blocked off, and a worker came over to let us know that ALL handicap spots were off limits through the entire next day because a crane was coming in to work on the tennis courts. Again, nothing about this was disclosed on the property details, and my husband is a diabled vet. Luckily, the woman working the parking passes allowed us to use the basement parking at no additional cost.While I understand these buildings and amenities need maintenance, these kinds of things MUST be disclosed on the property details for full disclosure and so a fully informed decision can be made by a renter, especially when there's a no-refund policy in place. That's the only part of our stay that was unsatisfactory. So please ask all the right questions prior to booking.

Great condo for a group of friends right on the beach with the best views! Everything was wonderful.
