Exclusive, safe, quiet island living Charleston!

Spacious, bright, (with blackout shades),inviting island apartment available with king bed, pull out luxury queen mattress with an air topper that plugs in. The apartment is nestled in a safe private island with walking paths everywhere & close proximity to all points of interest. There is a ferry to downtown which is a 10 minute walk away, walking paths everywhere, Uber easily or drive anywhere, this is truly a wonderful vacation spot. Access to three private community pools within 5 minute walking distance that have splash park & baby pools. An air mattress & pack & play are also available on request.
The space
This is a private island, Daniel Island, a vacation spot just minutes away from beaches, 15 minutes to airport and city of Charleston. Downtown is between 20 and 35 minutes by car depending on traffic. 20 car minutes to Patriots Point. 20 minutes car to Isle of Palms, 20 minutes to Sullivan's Island. Instead of driving you can take the ferry to Downtown Charleston daily with drinks and a view of the harbor. Can't beat it here. On street free, very available parking. No issues finding a spot right in front of the house.

Quick stay

Nice little apartment on Daniel Island. Great for a family with kids because there are lots of activities within walking distance. Drive to Charleston isnt too bad and the neighborhood is really quiet.

Beautiful above garage apartment. I do wish it had been disclosed on the listing that the apartment was above a garage and that the garage is currently in-use by the family who owns the main house, which is about 10 feet from the garage. We gave 4/5 stars because of this lack of disclosure as well as a constant and very large swarm of mosquitoes that were on you anytime you walked out the door, through the yard, and to your car. I am well aware that mosquitoes are bad in Charleston, but this was 20 mosquitoes attacking as soon as your feet hit the grass. Lastly, the apartment did have a displeasing musty smell. All of that being said, the neighborhood was extremely nice and very safe. We enjoyed all of the houses’ Halloween decorations. The apartment itself was clean and nice too.

Beautiful and safe location

Besides a minor hiccup with the air mattress that we requested, the location was wonderful! Great, quiet neighborhood, pools nearby that we definitely utilized, close proximity to all things Charleston! Would highly recommend!

Loved the location, price and studio! Comfy bed all amenities were available to us! Everything was described to us! Make sure to do the night ferry to Charleston downtown!

Relax in style

This is a very comfortable and well equipped studio. The perfect size for two of us. It is conveniently located in a beautiful neighborhood. It was the perfect place to “come home to” after busy days of sightseeing.

Perfect place to see Charleston!

We loved this little place. It was clean and easy to get to. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Super easy to ferry over to Charleston. We enjoyed the pool after a long hot day of exploring. Contact with host was excellent. I wouldn't change a thing about this place and hope to visit again.

This was perfect and a beautiful place. Nice quite neighbor with beatuiful parks .

I'll be telling all my friends about this lovely place. It was equipped with everything you would possible need. This quaint place will be my norm when I travel to Charleston. Even the steps are nice' they let you get exercise from all the delicious food you eat while visiting Charleston. You definitely can't go wrong with this little gem.

Wonderful Stay in Amazing Neighborhood!

Our stay on Daniel Island was a fantastic way to see all that Charleston has to offer, residentially and in the city as well! The neighborhood was so clean, friendly and inviting- we were so happy to see the vibrancy and activity nearby! The apartment was very clean and all the amenities were in perfect condition. The laundry machines were an amazing addition and especially useful after a beach day so we didn’t have to fly home with wet swimsuits! The AC worked perfectly- much needed after a hot summer day. We also utilized the neighborhood pools and felt like regulars in the area. Thanks for giving us a taste of Daniel Island with our Charleston trip- we will certainly be back!

Family trip to Charleston

The location was great and the neighborhood was beautiful. We found it easy enough to get to all of the places we wanted to visit. I wish I had read the reviews before booking this property as it’s more of a studio apartment in the owners backyard. This was rough for our family of 4 as everyone constantly woke everyone else up. The sleeper sofa was very noisy so anytime our kids moved we all woke up. There was also a light on the ceiling that kept lighting up the room all night. But the place was very clean and overall would recommend for anyone not traveling with children.

Owner cancelled

We were on our way to Charleston when the owner reached out to tell us that we could not stay the first night at the apartment due to tile work being done??? We were refunded one nights stay. We rented a hotel room for the first night, and were told we could check in on Saturday morning. I reached out Saturday morning to see what time we could check in and the owner said we could come on over so we packed our car again and were in the hotel parking lot when the owner text again and said she would have to cancel the whole weekend because of a leak in the bathroom. The owner did refund the whole weekend and I understand that some thing are out of our control, however, my husband and I had rented the apartment well in advance to celebrate our anniversary, we had planned to stay 4 nights, over 3 hours away from home, and now we have no where to stay. The reason I rented from VRBO was so we would not have to stay in a hotel...We did find a nice place to stay after searching most of Saturday to find it, but it all worked out and we enjoyed our time together. I don't think I would ever consider staying at this place in the future, Please ignore the scores on the questions listed above!. The way the review is set up you HAVE to answer. Maybe there should be other choices on the questionnaire. I hope others have a better experience than we did. I learned a lot from this experience and I hope the owner did too. Best wishes.

We enjoyed our stay! The rain kept us from doing somethings we had planned! The room was nice and clean. The only thing missed was bathroom trash and a couple wash clothes to wash with! My 9 year old son enjoyed his bike rides around the neighborhood, and fell in love with the little black kitty that visited us on our porch everyday! We are animal lovers so we all happily enjoyed the visits!

Lovely stay, very clean, hosts were very nice & accommodating. We had everything we needed to cook full meals. It was also nice to have washer & dryer on site. Apartment was immaculately clean and the bed and most furnishings appeared to be new and in excellent condition.Air conditioning was able to cool the space properly desoite extreme heat and humidity.Towels and linens furnished were in very good condition and clean. However there was no real eating space; two stools against a narrow shelf in the kitchen was not adequate. The sofabed appeared to be a little older although in good repair and in or der to turn off the light above it one had to either stand on it and stretch up(challenging for a short person or get out of bed and go to the switch by the door.A bedside lamp would have been helpful. Kitchen appliances were clean and new and in working condition. Washing machine was in proper working order,while the dryer needed intervention by host.

Two day get away

Eating alive, mosquitoes

As soon as we walked in the door and shut the door, put our bags down, and immediately the mosquitoes began eating us. There were multiple mosquitoes throughout the house some were dead on the floor, while others were dead on the countertops. Meanwhile, my daughter and I Got eaten alive by them. When we walked in, it was still pretty warm as though somebody had just been there shortly before and turned the air on. The mirrors were super dirty and dusty a friend of mine that is a realtor on the island brought over some cleaner to clean them. When she walked in with her daughter to help clean the mirrors, they started getting bit too. So we left. By the way, we looked at the bed which was pretty saggy and lumpy. I looked for coffee and found Folgers. I ended up having to make reservations at a local hotel on Daniel Island. I was not going to suffer in a very uncomfortable Airbnb.

Sister trip

We 3 sisters came to Charleston to revisit our birthplace. This place was perfect. It was so cute and hip with everything we needed.
