Want to get a way? Enjoy nature? Unplug from every day life? Our cabin is your perfect getaway. In the mist of 323 acres there are several hiking trails and 2 fishing ponds. Want to explore Excelsior Springs? We are 10 miles from downtown Excelsior where you will find cute boutiques, museums, and the famous Elms which hosts a day spa. Like wine? We are nestled between 3 local wineries--all within 10 minutes from us--Shamrock Hills Vineyard and Winery (next driveway), Van Till Family Winery and Vineyard, and Fence Stile. Excelsior Springs offers wine trolley tours through out the year. Want to just chill? How about by the outdoor fire place, or fire wall. Sit on the patio sip your coffee and listen to nature and watch the variety of birds. Enjoy watching the neighbor’s cows from the front porch. We are kid and pet friendly. Great for a weekend with the guys or girls, a crafting get away, or couple's retreat--there are options.

Special note: Our cabin price has been adjusted to include one price for the entire cabin--whether it's just you or a group of 10--we have changed to one set price.

Family Thanksgiving

It was amazing…. The pics online sold us on the Property but they didn’t do it justice it was one of the best places we have ever stayed and we have stayed at several top level properties and this one is in a class of its own. As are the owners Mike and Denise! Hope we get an opportunity to come back…

Girls' Weekend

Seven of us stayed here celebrating a year that we all turned 70 !!! :) And it was great for this group. The house is beautiful and it had everything we needed. We walked over the hill to the winery and enjoyed some wine and snacks there and spent Saturday visiting the other local wineries and several fun places in Excelsior Springs for eating and shopping!

Family get away

This cabin was beautiful and spacious. The sleeping arrangements was the only drawback for us. There are 4 bedroom but none are King size beds. My family was very comfortable other than sleeping.

Best VRBO stay to date! Highly Recommended!

I took several of my grandchildren on a vacation here. The house is absolutely beautiful. The beds were very comfortable, the great room was so beautiful and we hung out in there just talking for hours on end. Several of the guys went fishing and caught some fish and the pond was beautiful too. A couple of my granddaughters say they would love it for the wedding venue too! A few of the grandkids went to visit the winery and met Denise too and they said she was so nice, the wine was great and they loved the live music. There was 9 of us there and everything we would have wanted during our cabin stay was present in this home. Our tech guys loved the lights and sound features in your home, we sat out by the firewall in the evenings, had a fire in the outdoor fireplace and roasted hot dogs one evening. It was a picture perfect vacation for our family! Thank you so very much! May God bless you always!

Absolutely Amazing!

From the moment we pulled up to the front gate, we were impressed. The grounds are gorgeous, very well maintained. The house itself is stunning. The "great" room, kitchen, dining room, and living room are spacious and easily accommodated all of us. The beds were comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed. We used the BBQ and sat outside to enjoy the evening. The patio is so gorgeous with plenty of outdoor seating. We walked the grounds in the morning and took great pictures of the adjacent vineyard! We loved it so much that we didn't want to leave! I would recommend this location without hesitation!! The host was so kind and responded quickly to all communication. OH, and my in-laws joined us with their truck & trailer, and were able to use the electrical hook-up. They loved it, too!

Mom's 87th Birthday Celebration

We have been blessed to celebrate our mom's 85th & 87th birthdays at the Shamrock! We love the Shamrock and the grounds, it is beautiful and so well appointed. Denise & Mike think of everything! It's fun coming back and seeing new things, the vineyard is amazing! I hope we are able to gather at the Shamrock again!

Family Time for Spring Break

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The house accommodated our family of ten comfortably. Fishing at the pond, hiking and sitting by the firewall were highlights. We would highly recommend staying here.

A lovely weekend in the country

We had 4 peaceful, lovely days at this splendid log cabin. We are six sisters who love to get away and just enjoy being together. This was the perfect place. We had a party one night for many family members which Denise, the owner, had no problem approving. She was very kind, and answered any questions we had immediately,. Highly recommend this lovely home. Thank you for sharing.

Game Retreat

this was the perfect place for a weekend get away with all the amenities! I’m already anticipating future stays in different seasons with other groups. Family getaway

This property was beautiful, peaceful and roomy enough for our whole family. The owners were so helpful and easy to work with. We were glad we could stay out of town in a country setting but still be close enough to Kansas City. Highly recommend.

Sister getaway

This property is awesome! They call it a “cabin” but it is so much more than that. It’s beautiful, spacious, well stocked with essentials and non-essentials. Spectacular country surroundings & well maintained, beautiful landscaping with amazing outdoor seating/gathering areas. Denise & Mike are the best hosts. They will help you with anything you need . Highly recommend.

Girls Weekend

This place was absolutely amazing. Denise was very helpful and put a lot of detail into making our stay over the top. All the extra things like chilled water, soda and snacks. The wet bar and coffee bar were such a nice treat. Each bathroom was stocked with shampoo, body wash and hand soap. The kitchen had everything you could need to make a meal. We totally enjoyed the amazing outside sitting areas. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to visit again soon!

Awesome Girls' Trip!

We have been friends for over 48 years and wanted a place to unwind and catch up with each other. The cabin was the perfect place! Denise and Mike, the owners, were wonderful. They were very prompt with communications from beginning to end. They have created a perfect place to unplug, relax, and enjoy the moment you're in. We will definitely go again!

Amazing!

From the fresh baked cookies to the well-stocked pantry and cabinets, to the gorgeous indoor and outdoor spaces, to the FUN fishing - this was the best long weekend spot EVER! Staying at Shamrock Ranch was like staying at a good friend's home, one with four full bedrooms, 3+ bathrooms, a cool loft, and all of the considerate touches that make a truly memorable stay. Our adult kids agree that Shamrock Ranch is a "great find." We are ready to book again for next Memorial Day weekend!

The Best Ever

This property and the amenities did not disappoint in any way. It is such a peaceful setting. You must see the decor! Having been to Ireland twice, I appreciated all the Irish accents. It is absolutely beautiful; you will feel right at home. Be sure to go on a walk past the barns and enjoy nature while you are there.

Loved the Shamrock Ranch!

The accommodations/amenities were amazing. Denise & Mike thought of everything. The only reason I gave it 4 stars on location is the gravel road.

Wonderful getaway in the country!

Beautiful cabin on a spacious, well-kept farm in the country. The cabin had more than enough room (including a large patio, a deck, and a front porch) for our family of 8 adults. It is a ways out of KC, which can be a plus or minus, depending on your needs. For us, it was perfect, and we loved our time there!

Long Weekend at Shamrock Ranch Cabin

We enjoyed a long weekend at Shamrock Ranch Cabin. Not only did the cabin live up to our expectations, but Denise was a wonderful host. Her communication was always speedy, and she even had a plate of cookies to welcome us. We’re already talking about coming back!

Incredible Experience

Denise and Mike, Thank you for sharing your incredible home with us. We were hoping for a quiet respite and your lovely cabin, grounds and your excellent communication and care exceeded our expectations! The comfort of the Hearth Room with the wood burning fireplace, cozy furniture, warm blankets and amazing views were just what we needed to recharge and refresh. The special touches and amenities that you provided were exceptional, including freshly baked "welcome" cookies, a fully stocked kitchen, pantry and beverage bar. Hi! We are Mike and Denise Riley, the owners of the Shamrock Ranch in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. We have been married almost 30 years and in 2020 we purchased this 323 acre property as a retirement adventure. While Mike still works outside of the home, Denise has stepped away from her 25+ Human Resource Career and enjoys showing off this property to guests. Initially, it was purchased as a hunting property for Mike and friends and family, and while we DO NOT offer public hunting, the space is so versatile that we decided to rennovate a 100 year old Quonset barn into a small event space and turn the 40'x100' section of the pole barn into a reception venue. During this process we remodeled and added on to a cabin that was originally built in the 1940's which is the cabin you see in the pictures. For events we use it as a place for hosts to stay or brides and wedding parties to get ready in. However, during our off season, we decided to just rent out the cabin. Which is where we are today. This place is truly a piece of heaven and we look forward to sharing it with you and your loved ones!

This property is off the beaten path. So if you want to get a way from city life or your visiting family nearby and want a place to escape--this is the place for you. We are 10 miles from Excelsior Springs and 40 minutes from downtown Kansas City, Missouri--what a great place for a weekend getaway, or a small couples retreat. We also have 3 RV sites on the property that will hold 40'+ RV's and have water and electric at the site. We will rent those for a small additional fee.
