Great place for large group gatherings

Perfect place for large groups. Plenty of space and room for all to be comfortable. Great communication from host. Overall good experience.

Family Reunion

This was an amazing place for a large family reunion. There was so much space and with the gym, play area, and toys, there was so much for kids of all ages to do. The kitchen with 2 large refrigerator/freezers made it easy to keep all our food and there are plenty of bedrooms for so many people. Again, just a wonderful location to stay!!

Family Reunion

Had enjoyable family reunion. Space provided fun activities for teenagers and children. The nearby Clean Museum and Lava Hot Springs were enjoyed by all. Outdoor space around property was lacking, but parks and hiking trails within an easy drive. No individual bathroom facilities in space.

Great for Large Groups

Kept 30 family members ages 1-77 entertained with plenty to do. The description says kitchen, bathrooms are all downstairs but not that the basement is not ada accessible. If you have anyone bound to wheelchair, they will not be able to go downstairs With that said, we would absolutely stay there again with a large group knowing we would have to work around stairs as the only option.

Web site is not correct

The listing on the website is not correct. It states there are 5 full bathroom. There are only 3,including the new part one bathroom. None of the main floor bedrooms or the Plum room had sheets. The plum room only had a queen bed. Site says it also has to singles. Kitchen was great.

We appreciate you taking time to give feedback. When we spoke on the phone a few times at length and I explained the layout of the bathrooms. And the whole church. That there was a women’s bathroom and men’s bathroom. Each had multiple toilets and showers that were separated by stalls. As you see in public restrooms. As for your concerns for bedding, Unfortunately, our cleaners were rushed through their cleaning routine when you arrived a few hours ahead of your booking window and missed details they would not have missed if they were given the proper time they were supposed to have had.

Absolutely enjoyed the space!

Our family reunion was so fun to have at this location! Almost 70 of us fit comfortably here. The minimal outdoor space was not an issue because there was so much to do inside for all of the kids. They loved the zip line and climbing wall. The arcade games were a hit. It’s also walking distance from a cute little ice cream shop so that was a fun evening activity to walk with the whole crew for a treat. We went to the Ross Aquatic center one day and then went another day to float the river in Lava Hot Springs. There was plenty of fridge space for food and cold drinks. We brought a lot of games with us, but were pleasantly surprised to find more games and cards to play there at the place. As advertised, the a/c wasn’t amazing as it’s an old church remodeled, but that didn’t slow us down and there were def rooms that were cooler than others. This place is definitely on our list to return to. We just loved it so much.

Family Reunion

We found this facility and the Pocatello destination to be outstanding for our group of 29 people. My family included my 9 children, their spouses and 13 grandchildren of various ages. The gym included a well used zip line and climbing wall and was perfect for family competitions. Ping pong and video arcades kept younger kids occupied in spare moments. The chapel was perfect for a family talent show, movies of our family from past years, and an awards night. The kitchen was well equipped and the dining area more than sufficient for our large group both for dining and game nights. Bedrooms were well stocked with linens and the building stayed a comfortable temperature through out the stay during a warm week. The air condition provided did the job for us! We used the Mansion as a base to explore the surrounding area..... Lava hot springs for a river float, and the extensive pool and water slide facility which also includes platform diving opportunities. Parks are close by for out door field activities. We also rented the nearby community pool at a very reasonable price for a few hours for a family swimming "Olympic" event. And there is an Ice Cream shop to walk to about a block away with a lovely enclosed garden area any time you need to indulge. $1 a scoop with regular cone or cup! during our visit! We highly recommend the McKinley Mansion and would definitely stay there again. Nice people everywhere we went.

Great place, needs some things fixed though

We stayed for a family reunion. Group of 32. we liked the game room, the gym, the kids and adults had a lot of fun in there The rooms were good size, the beds were comfortable. Plenty of room to sit around and play games or visit. Things that need to be fixed. It is an old building as stated on the listing, there are limited outlets in the bedrooms. Most rooms only have 1 outlet by the light switch by the door no outlets by the bed. We bought extension cords. The first night the breaker kept tripping, at least a dozen times where we had to go flip the switches to get the basement bedroom power back on and the AC unit. There were 2 AC units running that we think kept tripping them one in the kitchen area and one in the bedroom at the end of the hall of the basement bedrooms. Once we turned those off it stopped tripping the breaker so we just ran 2 fans, We had 4 people with Cpap machines and one on oxygen so before bedtime we moved people around so they would be on different breakers so they wouldn’t go off in the night. The next day we just left the AC units off downstairs and just ran the fans and the breaker only tripped once when we turned 1 basement AC unit on. The 2nd night sewage came up thru drains in the mens and unisex bathroom so we all had to use the woman’s bathroom. 2 of the fridges weren’t as cool, not sure if it was the breaker issue we moved everything to 1 fridge. If they can fix the electrical/breaker issue and plumbing it’s a great place for a group.

This was a great spot for our baseball team to stay all together for a tournament. The boys loved the gym space and there were plenty of hangout spaces for the parents. The beds were great and there were lots of towels, extra bedding and blankets. The hosts were quick to respond to questions and it was an overall great stay.

Such a great place to play with friends!

We rented for the lonv weekend with friends. The kids ages 17- 1 had such a great time. The property is well stocked and had everything we needed to play. The attention to design and detail were pleasing and everyone loved the updates to the property. Communication with the owners was fast and easy. We will definitely rent again soon!
