Just like we remember

My family has been coming to Ocean Cove for over 40 years and it has always been a good time. Great location, the property is well kept and quiet, and there is always ample beach space. 306 was a treat and in great condition for its age. Sure, it could use some minor touch ups, but there were no glaring issues and everything was easy! Would reccomend to a friend and will definitely be coming back. Thanks!

The only issue we had was the commode not flushing properly in the master bathroom.

Worst Ever

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Experience was not what it should of been.Upon arriving at unit, end table had no glass top. Lamp sat inside the table.Upon moving a wicker chair to make more room in one area that area under chair was dirtier, with 2 pennies, chip bag clip, something black with tie rap thru it, and plenty of dirt. Dining table chairs were wobbly; because screws were loose and some junctions, the glue was dried out; and needed reglued. Then one tv in a bedroom didn't work, and had to be replaced, and was on last night there. Also no instructions on how to change the tv thru all the programs. Very disappointed for the price charged, and knowing unit was empty two days before we arrived; and some problems could of been taken care of before our arrival; and the fact I called two days before our arrival to inquire on a issue I had two years prior.

A Stormy Adventure

Reviewer Comments: The first six days of our vacation we had very good weather, the rental property was nice (our second stay in this property)and there were no lines at the eating places. Then Hurricane Hermine hit. It was quite an adventure. All in all we had a very nice stay. We look forward to coming back.

Great view, dated, Internet/TV did not work, cleaning need work

Reviewer Comments: On our first day when we checked in, the low battery alarm was going on, Internet did not work, TV in living room did not work. Called the garden city rental they did send some one to take care of the low battery alarm but rest of the things were NOT taken care of. The carpet was black in some spaces, need replacement. The refrigerator shelf was shoved in and there was a foot print in front of the refrigerator when we checked in. The beds were okay. The utensils were okay. The chair on the from porch was broken and it was replaced when we called in. Overall I would consider this place needs a lot of work to fix

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second time to Garden City. Last year we were at Waters Edge. Ocean Cove had its pros and cons. Pros were great price,location,pool,beds/bedrooms. Cons were place definitely needed updating. Carpet,kitchen,kitchen floor,bathroom (main one in hallway) and both balconies. Just needs new furniture. It was rusty and falling apart. But with all of that we had the best time. So it was a fantastic trip.

The furniture in the living room was dirty & uncomfortable. There are no ceiling fans in the unit which are needed for air circulation. The cookware needed to be replaced. The washing machine had rust in it. The balconies were wonderful. The view was perfect.

Nice veiw

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is in a great location with a great veiw of the beach. We have stayed in this area for about 10 years and its always a great area. The unit we stayed in was outdated. The oven barley works. Its rigged to only turn on with a certain combination of dials. Once its on, the back right burner is on full blast and the vent for the stove goes right into that burner. Once you figure out how to turn the stove on, it only cooks the top of whatever is in it. The A/C never cools the back master room. Its a furnace in that room while the other rooms are freezing. The pool was great and the beach access was perfect.
