Charmerende træhus

Casa Cereza er et hus med træ / cement / palmer med 2 etager. Lejligheden på første sal er omgivet af en terrasse på tre sider med en dejlig havudsigt. Der er en stor krydret stue med et typisk mexicansk køkken, som er fuldt udstyret.

Masterbedroom (kingstørrelse) er meget komfortabel og ligesom alle de andre værelser i huset naturligt ventileret med vinduer rundt omkring. En lille privat terrasse udgør en del af soveværelset. Det andet soveværelse (queensize) er fuld af lys og farve og tilbyder dejlig havudsigt fra sengen! Badeværelset er forbundet med stue og soveværelse. Du kan se solnedgangen fra din hængekøje!

Nedenunder er en uafhængig lejlighed, hvor ejeren bor. Huset ligger i en dejlig have foran din egen ensomme strand, tæt på landsbyen (10 min. Gang), men langt nok til at afbryde forbindelsen og nyde fuldstændig ro.

Beautiful, characterful house just metres from the beach and a cafe with sunset views. The owner lives downstairs and guests have the upstairs which is two double-bedrooms, a bathroom, good sized kitchen/diner and a verandah with hammocks, chairs and tables. Was well located for restaurants, tour bookings etc and a delightful place to stay.

Delightful host and a wonderful stay! This is a perfect location, close enough to walk to town but far enough away to get a great night sleep and her restaurant Cafe Del Mar was also perfect to have next door. We will be back!

If you want a true Holbox vibe this is the place to stay. The location is ideal, steps from the beach easy access to town and Punta mosquito. The house is so cool. It feels like a true island bungalow.. Windows on all sides with Real wood plantation shutters. We never used the air conditioner. There’s a wonderful breeze that flows through the house with the sound of the leaves from the palm trees that surround it The Balcony has a grass roof that pretty much wraps around the entire house. A welcoming respite from the afternoon sun. I can’t tell you how much we enjoyed our stay!

Great Getaway

This is the second time I have stayed here. It is amazing!It has a unique vibe, a lot of character and is really close to the beach and great restaurants.

Wonderful host, very accommodating. The beach house was even better than expected. 85degree days and didn’t need ac. Steps to the beach. A 10 min walk to the edge of town.
They have a great setting for sunsets steps away.

A wonderful stay

Our family of four loved our stay. Such a gorgeous apartment with a huge wraparound verandah overlooking the trees. The beach was seconds away and we spent a lot of time in the palapa allocated to the property. Sabine was a warm, friendly and very helpful host. Highly recommended.

Nice Place

Close to town off a main road. A two minute walk to the beach if you walk really, really slow. and close to a quiet relaxing beach bar. Very clean, Sabine is great with communicating.

Magic Treehouse!

This house is perfect for someone like me who misses the way Mexico used to be. The house and gardens are quaint and charming and decorated with a rustic but beautiful attention to detail. The restaurant and beach are steps away and everyone was so kind and welcoming.

Fabulous get away

Sabine’s beautiful home was perfect for our group. The setting was peaceful and the home had everything we needed. Sabine was easy to find if we had questions. The home is as near to beach as you can be without being right on it. Cafe Del Mar has delicious food and drinks, and a wide variety of items. The beach there was our absolute favorite! Walking to the busy center of town was easy. Altogether we think Sabine’s is the best place on the island!! We can’t wait to come back.

Relaxed, local vibe. Beautiful setting.

Everybody has a different idea of what it means to be on vacation. If your idea (like ours) is to be completely removed from the day to day hustle AND feel like you are integrated into the local vibe this is your place! My husband and I came here to get away for his 50th birthday and it was perfect. The space was more than ample (we could have had another couple with) and very clean. To be clear though, this is not a resort. There is no pool and other amenities you might get at a resort but to us that's better. We like having a little kitchen and dining space. One day when it rained we hung out and had cocktails and played backgammon on the porch without a care in the world. Very walkable to town (we did it about 3 times a day either by road or beach) or you are a very short taxi ride. Sabine is very helpful with anything you need without being in your space. Her café is very good and convenient too. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

Perfect location!

I stayed with two friends for a short get away. We were looking for something that was quiet at night but close to everything. It was perfect! Sabina was a lovely host and was fast on her communication. She arranged everything for the transportation from Cancun airport to the house. It was just steps away from Her restaurant Del Mar, we started there every morning then walked the beach to many of the beach clubs. We would definitely stay again! Bring bug spray and prepare for power outages on the island. But nothing that would deter me from going again.

Lovely home, lovely location

This was our 2nd stay at Casa Cereza and it was as lovely as the first. The house is charming and steps from the beautiful beach. The cafe is now on the beach but that just means it is easier to get delicious food and drinks. Sabine is a wonderful and helpful host. If you are sensitive to mosquitos, I would recommend bringing bug repellant and maybe some flashlights to walk to/from town in the dark. Otherwise, just bring your swimsuits and enjoy the island!!!

Super Chill

Great location and very relaxing! The island isn't quite as quiet as it once was and the local traffic is busy, but the place was great, Sabine was great in making sure everything was taken care off, the cafe was excellent (especially for sunset) and you can walk to town or Punta Coco quite easily too. Exactly what we wanted, a super chill hammock and beach week!

Casa Cereza is just as advertised. We're a bit disappointed when we arrived that Cafe del Mar had moved to beach but found that the move had made the experience even better. Good for and service and a great location.

Wonderful Location , Steps from the beach

We had a wonderful 5 day stay at Casa Cereza. The apartment had all we needed and was comfortable and super clean. We loved the patio area with the hammock Perfect location, a few (barefoot) steps from the beach. Sabine made sure we had all we needed and she organized the door to door transfers to and from the airport. The food at the little cafe on the beach, Cafe del Mar , was excellent , very fresh and super tasty. It was great to be on the quieter end of the island but still just an easy walk along the beach to all the action. We hope to return.

Beautiful casa, steps from the beach

Located just outside of the downtown area but still walkable. House is very pretty and comfortable. No TV in the house and internet works well in spare bedroom but is weak elsewhere. In fairness, telecom services are very weak in Holbox. Owner is very nice and willing to help any way she can.

Fantastic

My wife and I finally took our long overdue honey moon to Casa Cereza and what a fantastic time we had. Sabine has a gorgeous house that you can tell from the first step on the property that her attention to detail was obvious. And not to mention café Del Mar beneath the place has the best food on the island. We were also there during COVID and like anything else you might need she had a medical physician come to the property to administer our PCR or Antigen test before we could board our flight back to the states. Thank you Sabine it was a wonderful trip! And to anyone else looking at this property don’t hesitate to book as your dates will fill up fast!

Exactly what we needed as a family with small children

We visited Casa Cereza for almost 2 weeks and had a great time. It is basic but has everything you would possibly need to have a fantastic time close to the beach. We are a family of 4 that includes a 1.5y old toddler and a 4.5y old girl. The apartment is away from the main hotels area which is a plus for us. The main plus for us was having the private palapa (and there are not many of those) at the beach 30 seconds barefoot walking from our bedroom. That made a huge difference to us. The beach there is shallow water, crystal clear and white sand, ideal for small children. Sabine is super attentive and took good care of us making sure we had everything we needed. She helped us arranging transfers from and back to the airport with very professional drivers. We always felt secure there. We will happily go back. Perhaps the only downside to mention is that the road behind the house can get a bit noisy at night with traffic although this was not too much of an issue for us. All in all, very good value for money.

Great paradise to get away from all that hustle & bustle!!

Sabine was a very accommodating host and her restaurant was excellent with healthy choices. Loved relaxing on the porch with the breeze and the palm tree fronds. Perfect distance to downtown by bike or walking. Our 1st vacation to Holbox and Casa Cereza was the perfect place to stay. Thank You Sabine!

The place to stay on Holbox Island

Casa Cereza is the ideal Holbox Island residence, less than a 100 yards from the ocean, set in a tranquil garden with its own Cafe del Mar. Perfect is a strong word but this is the perfect place to relax and have easy access to the center of town, restaurants and open air markets. You have the entire 2nd floor, bedrooms, open kitchen and an expansive deck so you can swing in the hammock and let the breezes calm you. The care and concern of the owner Sabine is exceptional. This is a wonderful experience and I strongly encourage you to partake in its excellence.

Christmas at Casa Cereza

Really enjoyed our stay at Casa Cereza. Kitchens are a rare find in Holbox and with 2 small kids we appreciated making breakfasts and lunches. Cafe del Mar serves awesome food including homemade bread. The white sand beach w shallow water a stone’s throw away is lovely.

We built our lovely home which we would like to share with you, slowly and over years, that's why it came out so special. We continue traveling, going her and there, but our home and base is Isla Holbox with its charming people. They make you feel part of them, they make you feel home and in family. The atmosphere and the rhythm is difficult to describe, so come and see!
