Great location, helpful host

The location is really great, with only 5 min walk to the railway station and a 20 min ride to central Stockholm. The area is nice and calm, apart from some traffic noise. The house and garden are a bit worn, but the friendly and helpful host responded fast and efficient when we pointed out some minor flaws. Check-in as well as check-out was very convenient.

Nice space and convenient to Stockholm.

Grant's house is nice and convenient to the SL commuter station and good value for money. However, the property would benefit from a more comprehensive change over checklist to address maintenance/set-up issues.

We ended up staying for two nights because property was so dirty, not taken care of at all. And it was not safe for young children. I can’t recommend this property.

The property is a few minutes walk from the train station. You can reach airport in about 20 minutes and Stockholm city centre around 25 minutes. There are 3 bedrooms. It can accomodate 6 persons and can up to 8 persons if softbeds in the living room are used. But bear in mind that there's one bath room only. You need to take stairs to the bedrooms so elderly and young kids may not be too suitable though. The nearby environment is quiet and comfortable. You can find shops within reach. Car park is also available. Invertor airconditioner is a plus as you can have cool air in the summer and heating when cold.

Nice place, but needs some TLC

The old saying really applies for this place, "You get what you pay for." The good things about this place: --The host was responsive and took care of any requests/issues we had --The location was pretty nice. The metro station is close and there's a small grocery store next to it. Getting into town takes a good 20 minutes and you have to pay extra to get to/from the airport, which are just things to consider when it comes to how you like to travel --The neighborhood is quiet, nice, and feels quite safe On the less positive side, the house *really* needs some TLC. The floors are horribly scuffed up, the bathroom door hangs a little off so it doesn't open well (contributing to the floor scuffing), the plaster on the exterior walls is crumbling off and litters the deck, there was a screw sticking way up in the deck floor, we found a bent pin in the carpet, there's rubbish in the cabinets & drawers (like extra housing material, nothing smelly or gross, just not cleaned out), the bathroom light was dim and flickered, the bathroom really needed a fan, and there was a fallen tree in the backyard that had been there for a while, to name a few things. These are things we couldn't (or wouldn't) necessarily contact the host about to fix because we'd just be constantly messaging back and forth and they really should have been taken care of as general house maintenance anyway. This would have been a much more comfortable stay if the house had been better maintained and felt cleaner.

Positives: Communication with the owner and the check in / out process was really smooth. This is a spacious property in a really lovely and safe location. The transport links to the city and airport were very good and regular. Negatives: The downstairs and fridge really smelt of damp. Initially we thought it could be a wet dog smell, but the seatees were also a bit cold even thought it was a hot day. We left the patio door open to air the place out, it improved a little bit. There was a lot of water in the fridge which might not have helped. There were no curtains, the blinds were broken in places, so it was incredibly light from around 4am. The room with 2 single beds was very hot, we couldn't open the window fully. There were no hand towels, we were given 4 bath towels for 4 people. A towel in the kitchen would been helpful as there was no drainer to leave dishes to dry.Useful information: The beds were so comfortable. On the 1st floor there are 2 bedrooms with a queen size bed in one room, 2 X single beds in another & also there was a sofa and a single bed in the hallway. On the 2nd floor there is a double bed with a very noisy air condition unit (it is very effective though.) We enjoyed our stay, the negatives could easily be improved & we would recommend the neighbourhood. As a family of 4, it was far cheaper to get an Uber to and from the airport rather than the train or coach. It cost around 40.This is a semi detached property behind the property in the photo

This stay was a huge shock and disappointment due to huge difference between description of the house with the photos provided and the actual condition of the house. The house was really smelly of pets and not properly ventilated. We tried to ventilate when we arrived as the smell was very strong but that was very difficult as the only way to ventilate was to open doors which were locked - we raised with the host and only got a response next day about opening one door. The cuttlery and plates provided were dirty with ants and bugs on them, we had to wash few to use as cupboards had bugs. The garden was overgrown and creatures such as spiders and ants could easily get in when you try to ventilate. There was an air-purifier or de-humidifier in the attic - making huge noise that meant the attic and hallway sofas could not be used if this unit was on. We had to switch it off to use these beds. In the living room, sofas were not clean and one was really dirty. In the bathroom, there is no natural ventilation so it was also humid and smelly.Towels were provided and sheeting was provided but unfortunately the bugs that were there made the stay horrible. We stayed as a family and one of the children woke up middle of the night screaming after she saw the bugs before going to bed. The floors were dirty which meant that we needed to clean a small area just to be able to allow a toddler to move about. I would not recommend this stay to anyone.

Hello Dieter. Thank you for your response, I see you made a detailed list of complaints. If you find things that arent to your satisfaction during your stay, you should contact management immediately. There is a phone number at the place you stayed for immediate complaint service, unfortunately I did not hear of these problems from you while you were here but I will now fix these things, looks like 30minutes work. I try to provide a quality townhouse at a good price, there can be small problems but I try to fix things as soon as they come up. I hope you enjoy your next visit to stockholm.

Perfect location

The house is in a lovely residential area close to a grocery shop and a couple of restaurants and takeaways, all within a 5/10 min walk as is the train station. It is in a perfect location for travelling into Stockholm, the mall of Scandinavia and Uppsala
