Escape to our cozy family owned condo nestled in Great Gorge Village, Mountain Creek Resort, Vernon, NJ! Just 3 mins from resort parking, our prime location puts you at the heart of mountain adventures. Discover golf, hiking, biking, and more. Inside, relish in a stylish haven with new furniture, plush beds, and updated amenities. Immaculate bathrooms await your relaxation. Sleeps 6 comfortably, perfect for a tranquil retreat. Explore trails or relax on the deck amidst serene surroundings.

THE SPACE
The main living area is an open space that consists of a dining, living room with 65" TV and kitchen area. There is a full bathroom that has been recently updated and is very clean. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed with a TV. Upstairs is a spacious loft with two queen beds. This condo is comfy but spacious.

KITCHEN: Fully equipped, brand new appliances, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, cooking basics, dishware/flatware

Please note: Although the condo is in the Mineral Springs Spa Resort community they have completely separate owners. Renting the condo does not give you access to the pool or spa facilities. For access to the pool/spa please visit their website.

Perfect for our visit

We were spending some family spring break time at Legoland and other upstate attractions. The location of the condo was perfect. Then add the great condition, cleanliness and setup of it and it work out perfectly. Thank-you Mike for a great stay.

Excellent!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend here! The place was spacious, peaceful, and very comfortable, perfect for relaxing. The kitchen was well-equipped, the outdoor space was lovely, and the views and sunsets were stunning. It was incredibly quiet, which made it feel like a true getaway.The owner was fantastic, responsive, thoughtful, and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Check-in was easy, and he made us feel very welcome. Overall, an excellent experience. Highly recommend!

Weekend away in Vernon NJ with the family

Wonderful place to stay! Clean spacious and centrally located. Kids loved the loft area, very cool. Communication excellent with host. Would return!

Cozy clean mountain chalet

We stayed three nights visiting family in the area. Family of four with two teens that found the Black Bear Chalet cozy, clean, accommodating, comfortable, and convenient to all needs and areas of entertainment. Michael is a professional and courteous host and super responsive. If you’re looking to stay in Vernon area stop looking and book this property.

Very nice

We wanted to visit NYC but didn't want to stay in the city. This was just a little over an hour from there and it was a very nice condo. Check in was super easy!

Great Place

The stay at the condo was excellent. Plenty of space and well equipped with the essentials. Michael kept in constant contact with me to make sure everything was okay. Will definitely book again when going to Mountain Creek!

Great Stay

Our recent stay at this resort condo was terrific. We were in town for a bike race at Mountain Creek Resort. The convenient location of this condo made it a perfect accommodation for us. It was just the right amount of space and the rental itself was equipped with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The host was incredibly accommodating, ensuring that our every need was met throughout our stay. We can't wait to return to this condo again for our next event at Mountain Creek Resort.

Weekend Getaway

My sister and I had the best time at the Black Bear Chalet. It was in a great location and right by the spa. The house had comfortable beds and complimentary coffee/water. The host was in constant communication and extremely helpful. Hoping to return during the winter time!

Great experience!!!

Condo was exactly as advertised. Michaels communication was fantastic. Check in was easy and pleasant. Welcome treats were a very nice touch. Will stay here again. Came to area to visit JW World Headquarters which was a 40 minute drive through beautiful views. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Just right

The place was perfect! Open floor plan keeps you engaged while prepping dinner or just in kitchen. Close to all activities as well. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend this condo if you are in this area. Michael was available for questions that also came up about the rental.

Very clean, perfect location

We had to travel to this area for my daughter’s dance competition and this was the perfect fit for what we needed. It’s located directly next to The Minerals Hotel (a part of Crystal Springs). The place was very clean and had nice updates for an older townhome. You cannot use any part of the mountain creek resort or the minerals resort though, that’s the only downside.

great property in the perfect location

Had a family emergency last minute and Michael was great to work with. He was quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had. The condo was as advertised. Very pleased. I didn't have an opportunity to take in all the sights and various eateries, but will definitely book again when in the area.

Modern, comfortable and scenic

We had an excellent stay. The teenagers and tween loved their little loft space upstairs and my husband and I liked having the downstairs for us. The property was equidistant from restaurants on both the left and right of it. The ski lodge was 2mins away by car making it easy to come and go/ grab meals etc. The manager was super responsive and everything was as it was advertised. Will definitely come back!

We enjoyed staying there.

It was great stay and the host allowed us for early check in which was the best part of it. Overall it was clean and neat and loved high ceiling and clean linen. The only thing that I want any improvement on is kitchen stuff. It would be great if pots and pans can be updated. Also if cooking utensils can be upgraded to silicone or stainless steel instead of plastic, that would be perfect. That can easily improved. So we loved our stay and would come back :)

Amazing condo near Mt Creek ski slopes

We stayed in this two floor loft condo hosted by Michael. The property is lovely, clean modern and very well stocked. I was here with two kids (age 6 and8) and their grandparents. The kitchen was perfect for us to cook breakfast and dinner after days in the MTN creek ski slopes. The slopes were less than 5 min drive. My kids love the loft which was spacious with two separate beds while my elderly parents stay at the first floor bedroom. The host was amazing because I kept asking questions (had trouble turning on the grill and washing machine). He was responsive, kind and I love how he even stock with a few water bottles. I would def return again to this same house given how spacious it was, clean, and great location. We had 5 people and it's perfect for under 6 people ( 3 real beds , not a couch pull out).

Family Ski Trip at Mountain Creek

This was our second time in this gated community but our first time at Black Bear Chalet. The condo was quiet, clean, well equipped and exactly as shown on the pictures. We were impressed by how new and nice the appliances were. Bedrooms were spacious and well organized (all beds had a bedside table and small lamp, both bedrooms each had a mirror, TV and clean storage). Dining table was large enough for our family of four to sit down comfortably (6 chairs total). There were also 4 bar stools to sit at the counter. We never had to reach out to the host, Michael, during our trip, because all the information we could need was sent to us in advance in a well explained and easy to understand manner (not pages and pages of instructions, just what you really need to know). Though Michael reached out to us during the trip to make sure everything was fine, which we appreciated. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. We had a great stay and will most likely come back next year!
