Welcome to Baked Alaska, a private room in a shared lodge offering hotel-like amenities. Enjoy wifi, cable TV, and streaming services in your comfortable queen bed with a forest view. The room features luxurious granite and stone finishes, including a custom-tiled shower and a granite vanity. Baked Alaska is on the second level of the property.

The lodge's common area is a grand masterpiece with exquisite craftsmanship and eclectic decor. Share the kitchen and bar seating area with fellow guests. The entire lodge is an artful showcase, reflecting owner Johney Engle's talent as a kitchen designer. His stone fabrication shop below operates Monday to Friday, creating some noise.
Situated near the Tongass National Forest, Auke Lake, Auke Bay, and the renowned Mendenhall Glacier, our lodge is the perfect base for an adventurous Juneau visit. Discover nearby trails, fishing spots, and exciting excursions at Statter Harbor in Auke Bay, such as kayaking, paddle boarding, and whale watching. Johney is available to guide you in finding the experiences you desire.

Precision Lodge, where Baked Alaska is located, is a shared space with up to two additional rooms. The common kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, hot plate, microwave, and toaster oven. Rent fishing poles and bicycles on-site for convenient exploration.
Experience more than just accommodation—a stay at Precision Lodge is an immersive journey into art. Johney's unique three-dimensional assemblage-style creations and the captivating self-portraiture of Skylar Engle adorn the property. Feel inspired and thrilled as you create lasting memories.

Check in at your convenience using the provided lock box code. The standard check-in time is 4 pm, with a check-out time of 11 am. Early check-in and late check-out options may be available for a fee, subject to availability. Host Johney is on-site, ready to interact or respect your privacy. We'll Be Back!

Kelli's property is the only place I stay when I go to Juneau - I especially like the Baked Alaska room - it is so cozy. The common areas (kitchen and living room) are spacious and so intriguing with the decor. It is a short walk to Aucke Bay Cafe (yum!), the University, and Aucke Bay Trail. We will be back soon! Comfortable home away from home

Property was clean and comfortable. The bed was amazing and reminded us of home. No issues checking in or out. Will be coming back again.

Baked Alaska

The place was exactly as advertised. Since we were visiting our son for Christmas, we were looking for something reasonable and close to his home. This was both. Also accessible at all hours, which we came & went. Very clean and nice. Only complaint was the bed was high and my husband had to help me in. Very quiet and beautiful.

Very nice house

They thought of just about everything! My only 2 complaints were a very annoying clicking clock in my room which was easily disabled (took out the battery) and a turpentine-like smell throughout the common areas only (pretty strong). The bed was very comfortable, had a full bathroom and fridge in my room and a space heater when the radiant floor heater couldn't quite do the job. VERY clean nice house :)

Convenient to public transportation and Auke Bay. Difficulty getting into room due to broken key lockbox. House was dark upon arrival, very uncomfortable walking into unfamiliar property knowing house has shared roo.s with other tenants.

The layout was not something I’d seen before but the property is immaculate and incredibly well decorated. The shared space with the other guests was well done and they were all very nice.

Luxurious peace and quiet!

I booked a short stay to extend my time in Juneau at the end of a guided trip. What a perfect way to end my travels! Worn out from a couple of week’s worth of on-the-go activities, I had a chance to slowly savor the beauty of Alaska and rest in the comfiest bed ever with a hot shower. Nice place!

Great stay! Will stay there again.

My husband and I stayed at this location, both at the beginning and end of our trip. It was a great place to stay! The room was clean, the bed was fantastic, no issues with anything at the location. Parking is simple with easy access into the house. The shared space in the larger portion of the home is kept very well. The granite work is also beautiful. There are other rooms available at the same site. We will look into them for future trips. We would recommend staying here.

Short visit before cruise

Very pleased to find this at a price that allowed us to also rent a car...both for less than the cost of a Juneau hotel. Used kitchen to store our breakfast and picnic food for daily outings. Loved all of the granite and unusual and interesting decor. Room always seemed too warm and no screens on windows. Opened windows anyway, which allowed the first mosquito of the season to find us. Would absolutely recommend. Bed was super comfortable. Place was very clean.

Baked Alaska Stay

I recently spent 5 days in Juneau and needed a space to lay my head after I landed. Fortunately, I found countonKelli.com on the vrbo.com website and was able to secure a last minute reservation for this quaint little place. It is centrally located to the airport, marinas and downtown Juneau. I highly recommend this unique getaway spot. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Clean secure and safe

Nice place to stay. The parkinglot was scary as it was quite icey. Other than that,we enjoyed our stay. The owners were readily available by phone or text message to answer any questions.
