Interior of the cottage is neatly adorned in a lodge decor .There are 3 bedrooms with ceiling fans and air conditioners.Master bedroom room has FULL size bed and other bedrooms have FULL size bunk beds. There is deck ,gas grill and screened- in porch . There is a fire pit in front of porch.Waterfront dock 100 feet away with kayak/canoes& a paddleboat

We had a wonderful time on Heald pond. Richard was thorough and helpful. Beautiful property! Our kids enjoyed the canoeing, fishing, and swimming!

The pond, sunset, swimming and kayaks were wonderful. The cabin has everything you need, but the star of this listing is it outdoors! Fire pit, tree house, slide and water activities are perfect for any family. We came only for a quick visit, but had a blast.

Quiet time on the water

Great place to relax and unplug. Host was great to communicate with. Would 100% to back.

My adult children and myself had a wonderful time here property is just as it appears in the photos .there was only a few things I really didn't like and here they are:1) key lock box the numbers were so faded it was hard to see to get the code in there.2) the owner called me after I booked it i get it he said he's old fashioned, but I really didn't like how he spoke to me one of my children made a noise in the background so I explained they have autism and we been renting property from vbro for years he started saying you must supervise your children at all times, I stopped that conversation by saying im well aware of what level of supervision my children need. Everyone really should have someone around when they swim it just felt it was borderline disrespectful wonder if he says it to all people with children or just disabled people?3) as i stated we've rented alot from vbro so im used to the check out list but asking people to wash and dry bedding and vacuum and dishes . Guess im used to trash bottles out dishes done beds stripped seemed over the top for cleaning that was expected just my opinion beautiful property though

Summer getaway

My family stayed 4 nights in August and we all had a great time. The property was clean and had everything thing that we needed for our stay. The area was very secluded and the lake was perfect for my kids. They really enjoyed fishing off the dock and taking the boats out. We would definitely come back.

Really nice week!

We enjoyed our stay in Lovell. Communication with the property owner was positive and he was very responsive. We loved kayaking, spending time on the patio, fishing, and visits to kezar lake. We also found local hiking and a lovely little library. The cabin had everything we needed and a few fun extras to fill up our stay - like the kayak and the treehouse!

A little slice of heaven

If you are looking for a simple escape, a place to enjoy the simple pleasures of life, this is it. My boys and I just finished a magical week of swimming and fishing, on repeat every day and we couldn't stop smiling. It was just us, gorgeous views, and a home filled with everything you could need to cook and relax.

Peaceful and Beautiful

We had a wonderful stay at Heald Pond Haven with our dogs! Richard (the host) was responsive and helpful from the moment we booked and made our stay even better. The location is ideal, just feet from the pond. Everything you need is provided and we enjoyed many of the amenities that the property offered. Despite the soggy weather, we swam and kayaked and enjoyed a beautiful week away with no stress. I wish we could have stayed 2 weeks!

The paddleboat in photos was gone so that was disappointing. but the swimming was lovely, house comfortable. Many spiders outside, but not property's fault!The treehouse was buggy, so kids did not really use.

Came for a wedding, stayed longer for Heald pond!

We went to a wedding just up the road at Camp Susan Curtis, and this cabin was the perfect location for us to escape off to, take a dip in the lake, jump in the boat, and close the night with a fire in the fire pit. Cabin came fully outfitted with all we needed! We were even surprised by the comfort and roominess of the full sized bunk beds. We wanted for nothing, and fell in love with the Kezar lake area.

Heaven on earth

What a beautiful spot… The cabin was very comfortable, the lake was so beautiful and peaceful. Our tween girls even unplugged from their phones and fished, kayaked, played board games. They said they had so much fun. It was wonderful to be able to take our dog with us, she enjoyed herself too. The only problem was that 3 nights wasn’t long enough:)

Great Place. Great Spot.

Our stay was quite enjoyable. The accommodations are very nice. Outside of groceries, there's not much else one needs to bring. We had a few rainy days, but that's where the screened, covered deck came in handy. It made it convenient for getting outside without getting wet. Check in and out was easy. The owner contacted us up front with everything we needed to know about that and the property itself. All in all, it was a good time on the pond.

Lovell trip

Everything was just with the exception of The path to the pond was a challenge, being narrow and muddy. Had to change shoes several times. My wife actually fell on that path and scraped up her knee, which had be replaced in April.

Gary , I regret that the path to the pond posed a hazard for you and your wife . The State of. Maine Department of Environmental Management has strict regulations regarding cutting of trees and bringing in sand within 100feet from the water’s edge . With all the rainfall we’ve had lately , I apologize that the natural path to the pond doesn’t drain very well at times .

Cozy Waterfront

The double wide suited our family of 6 plus dog for a long weekend stay. Kids got to explore the treehouse which was an impressive craftsmanship! After the rain cleared we were able to take a tote around the pond in the paddle boat which was lots of fun! Space was great and warm with no heat source used (want to know the trick to keeping it insulated?!) Beds were decent, kitchen was useful. Just bring your clothes, toiletries and food (closest grocery store is approx 30 minutes away). Location was great for our adventures including the Fryeburg Fair! This home must be a blast during the summer! We fully enjoyed our stay, thank you! FYI a light cleaning and load(s) of sheets/towels will be expected at end of stay. We decided to leave the night before so we didn’t have to wake early to complete the load(s) then.

We stayed in July 2025. The woods and the pond with the private dock and a slide were wonderful. It was peaceful and quiet. The family of loons provided us with special sound effects every day. We were swimming and kayaking every day. The house was as shown on pictures, perfect size for our family of four. There was a sign saying we should take our shoes off, but the floors were very dirty. I wiped a part of it were we spilled some water and the paper towel was black and also there was sand & dust under the kitchen mats. When I texted the host, he said he was sorry, but didn't do anything to improve the situation.The screened in porch was a great future to have our meals there and spend evenings. It had an over table lamp, so good for reading or playing board games in the evenings.We were cooking our meals and found out that the kitchen equipment was very minimal. The communication was prompt.

This cozy waterfront cottage is the definition of relaxation. Zero noise or light pollution, a quite and undeveloped pond, a beautiful neighborhood. The cottage provides an opportunity to fully connect with nature. We enjoyed coffee on the porch, swimming in the pond, walks in the neighborhood and drives through beautiful Maine landscapes. Check-in was a breeze and communication with Richard was excellent. Wifi was excellent as well, a surprise give the remote location.A few things to note - the photos in this ad were taken a long time ago. The yard, fire pit, and beach area are overgrown with older deteriorated furniture and structures. We did not feel comfortable using the fire pit and definately did not sit in the chairs by the pond. The screen door to the sliders off the main room was also missing, limiting access to cool Maine breezes.Secondly, the house was surface clean, with clean bedding, floors and counters. The dishes, shower curtain and nooks and crannies of the house need attention.Finally, renters do not have control over the AC/Heat. When we wanted the AC turned up, down or off, we needed to message the owner and he adjusted it remotely. Not a big deal, Richard was very responsive, but with big changes in weather (from 90 to 60 degrees) we had to consider whether our comfort was worth bothering him.Overall this is a lovely little cottage that provides an a chance to unplug.We appreciate the opportunity to make our own memories in this special place.

Fall weekend

Comfortable, clean modest cottage, had everything we needed for a long fall weekend. Tree house was a bonus. Owner is responsive and helpful!

A fun time in western Maine

We were thrilled with the location's proximity to the pond and took advantage of the available kayak. We enjoyed the fire pit and the enclosed porch, checked out the treehouse, and were warm and comfortable inside despite October temperatures. There was even a moose in the driveway on the first day!

Our Week Stay at the Haven

We had a lovely week. Rick made sure we knew that the home was in a somewhat remote location, which was exactly what we were looking for. He gave us a lot of information on where to go to hike, eat, shop and sightsee and that was very helpful. The cottage was small but comfortable and suited our needs just fine. We were a group of 5. The lake (pond) was so peaceful and we enjoyed kayaking, canoeing and swimming. There were times we had the whole lane to ourselves! It was a very pleasant experience and we'd recommend it for anyone looking to get away from the touristy areas and just relax.

Quiet peaceful escape

My college age kids and I had a lovely weekend at the cabin. Despite the rain and cold we were still able to enjoy nearby hiking and sitting out by the lake. The cabin is clean and comfortable and well cared for. We had everything we needed for a quiet weekend away.
