Brand new one bedroom, one bathroom located in the center of historic downtown Ellsworth.
One of two similar second floor apartments that could be rented together if available.

Steps from some of the areas best restaurants, bars, shops and The Grand theater. Downtown restaurants within a short walking distance include the highly rated Provender Kitchen, Finns Irish Pub, Airline Brewing, Fogtown Beer Garden, Margaritas, Union River Lobster House and Serendib. John Edwards Market is just a block away for a great assortment of wine and cheeses as well as grocery needs. Downtown has become known in the area for its eclectic mix of shops with something for everyone. Walking distance to the harbor and library. Downtown Ellsworth is conveniently located in the center of the areas best attractions such as Acadia National Park, Schoodic Point, Bar Harbor, Blue Hill, Lamoine and Surry to name a few.

Although there is not a private parking spot the building has public lots on both sides. The main lot is located directly in front of city hall, police and fire making its location extremely safe. EV parking and charging is approximately 500 ft.

Please read this review!

This place was perfect! It may sound strange but it’s the little things. The place smelled good. Loved the layout, it was quiet, nice and roomy for my husband and I. There were baskets in the bathroom on the wall that made it nice to be able to have somewhere to put your bathroom things. There was a nice full length mirror in the bedroom so I could do my makeup while my husband got ready in the bathroom. Blackout blinds. Dimming lights. King size comfortable bed. The place was one of the best short term rentals we have stayed at. They put a lot of time into the details to make sure the stay was just perfect. It was a perfect location in town. Coffee shop just a few doors down when you walk downstairs. Restaurants are all within walking distance. Shops, cute town. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park were a short drive I would say around 30 min. Gave us time to enjoy our coffee on the way. We had no issues at all. We would without a hesitation stay again. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Studio in Ellsworth

This is a great space for two. The apartment was very clean, quiet and nicely furnished. Had quick question upon arrival and the host answered promptly. There are a few stairs to second level, not a problem for us. Enjoyed restaurants in walking distance and shops too. We trekked over to Bar Harbor/Acadia every day. Highly recommend.

Ellsworth Gem

If you want to stay away from the Bar Harbor commercialism and hordes this is the place for you! Apartment located in cute Main Street Ellsworth. Beautifully decorated with all the amenities you will need and immaculately kept.

Good home base for visiting Acadia

We enjoyed staying at this property when we visited Acadia National Park. Pros: nicely updated property; friendly host; room darkening shades in bedroom Cons: no dedicated parking; no shampoo/body wash; high security deposit Overall, this is a nice property and a good home base when visiting the area.

Wonderful apartment

We had a wonderful stay at Linda's apartment! The decor is modern and cozy with lots of light. There were several extra touches like spacious closets with lots of hangers, ample storage space, USB ports in the nightstands and plenty of bath linens. Both the sofa and bed were quite comfortable. The location was perfect- several great restaurants, bars and shops were right on the same street.The location is an easy drive to Acadia, Bangor or Bar Harbor too, making it the perfect "home base" for our travels. We found on-street parking and the area was quiet and felt very safe. The best part was that Linda recognized that we were on vacation and didn't ask anything of us at checkout! I highly recommend this apartment for your stay.

Comfy Stay

This apartment was roomier than the pictures and I felt I was at home. Very comfortable and clean, it worked well for our stay. It doesn't have a view but we got a kick out of watching the squirrels run across the electric lines-we weren't there for a view. The downtown area was very nice, but not a late night life for the time we were there. Would definitely recommend this place unless you have issues with stairs. The owners were wonderful and very responsive when we had questions. Overal fun and comfy stay!

Great location and apartment!

My wife and I stayed here while visiting Acadia National Park. When researching vacation rentals, we weren't sure what area to stay in, but we were so glad we chose Ellsworth instead of Bar Harbor! Bar Harbor was so crowded and busy, which we didn't like. Plus the places to stay looked either dated or very expensive. Ellsworth was close enough to be a short drive to Acadia, but far enough away to be much more laid back. Plus, the location of this apartment in downtown Ellsworth was perfect! There are lots of shops and restaurants within a couple blocks walking distance, and it was a nice way to unwind after a busy day of exploring Acadia. The apartment itself was great, in a cool historic building but totally updated and modern inside. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have both air conditioning in the apartment and a ceiling fan in the bedroom. We would absolutely stay here again if we ever go back to the area.

Perfect Location

This well appointed apartment is in the perfect location to walk to most places in Ellsworth and is also within an hour’s drive to many scenic places, including Acadia National Park. The apartment was clean, well decorated, and comfortable!

We enjoyed our visit with our 86 year old dad. Our visit was a family reunion with our dad, uncle and aunt from Florida and cousins who all live in the Ellsworth, Trenton and Bar Harbor area. The apartment was perfect. Clean quiet and updated. Above a children’s store with hours of 10-5. Very quiet overnight and morning. Would definitely stay again

Excellent 1 bedroom apartment

My wife and i have been vacationing in the Ellsworth area for several years and decided to try this apartment out given location and amenities within walking distance. We could not have been happier with our choice. If you are looking for a location that offers a central point to travel around to the various parks and towns bear by, this is the place for you! Ellsworth is an excellent town full of local shops, restaurants, brewery and brew pubs, and offers easy parking just a block away. I even patked the car right outside of the apartment after 5pm so we could just jump on and go. Linda and Hans were awesome with communication and response. The apartment is spacious and beautifully decorated with everything you need! We will definitely look to stay there again!

Maine Marvel

This was our first time to visit Maine and staying in Ellsworth worked out very well for us. We discovered the convenience of the free bus service to Bar Harbor and Acadia, but could retreat to Ellsworth to recharge our batteries. Loved this VRBO and loved Ellsworth!

Fantastic property

The apartment is in a great area of Ellsworth and there are so many shops, restaurants and bars to walk to. The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated and the hosts were very easy to book with. If I am back in the area, I will definitely stay here again.

Acadia vacation with small town quaintness!

So comfortable!

Perfect stay for anyone with allergies and asthma. Finding an away stay is a real health challenge. Linda and Hans truly understand that here with a clean, easy to care for rental and attention to avoiding allergy triggers for us. Going so far as to wash bedding and towels in allergy free detergent and no perfumes - Thank You! There is no mold or weird old house odors (that i struggle with other rentals). Location was sweet on Main Street and convenient to driving to Bar Harbour, College of the Atlantic, Acadia... Hans and Linda are responsive and communicate well. Definitely staying there again.

AMAZING PLACE!!

We wanted to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary in Bar Harbor but didn’t want to fight the crowds so we chose Ellsworth and found Linda and Hans’s gorgeous apartment. It is beautifully decorated, so clean, and so comfortable!! Don’t pass this one up!! Ellsworth has everything you need and Bar Harbor is an easy 20-minute drive away! Perfect all around!!

My husband and I stayed here and were highly satisfied. Loved the decor of the place and it was very clean. It looks brand new. We loved that it provided a smart TV, a coffee maker, and dishes. The place was very cozy and we had no issues whatsoever. Would definitely stay here again!

Ellsworth Stay

I was pleasantly surprised that the apartment was bigger and nicer than the online pictures portrayed. Kitchen was easy to navigate. Place was very clean and large. Very easy, walkable, to get to places to eat in town.

Perfect location!

Comfy apartment and great location to enjoy all the fun and delicious restaurants in Ellsworth! We took wonderful hikes in Acadia each day and found a new dinner spot in the evening. My husband and I enjoyed my first retirement trip here and highly recommend it!!

Acadia and Bar Harbor!

We had a great stay here in Ellsworth! There were several options in town for food/drinks which were walkable but we spent most of our time in Bar Harbor since we were there to see Acadia. 30 minute drive ( + or - ) depending which part you wanted to go to which was super doable! The apartment was clean, cozy, and spacious with everything we needed. Perfect place to stay when visiting the area, would highly recommend!

Cozy Retreat

This was a perfect apartment for our Maine vacation. Great access to central/northern coastal towns. This apartment has everything you might need, incredibly clean and well appointed. All new and renovated, nothing was left out. Linda was knowledgeable about the area and super helpful if needed. 5 Stars +

Delightful place to stay near Acadia

My wife and I stayed in Ellsworth so that we could enjoy Acadia and the Schoodic and we were delighted with this apartment. The accommodations in Bar Harbor didn't look like quite as good a value, so we decided to stay here and we're so glad we did! The apartment is super clean, well-appointed, and decorated so nicely. The best part to me is that it's right in the middle of Ellsworth, so you can pop out the door and be right in the middle of a charming downtown area with nice shops and restaurants. The ride into Bar Harbor/Acadia is about a half hour, which isn't bad at all (but it does get traffic-y between 5:00 and 6:00 pm). It's about the same to get to the Schoodic, which is also a great place to go. We had a little trouble with the keypad lock and gave Hans a call and he came right in to fix things up. Bottom line: A super-clean delightful apartment with responsive hosts in an adorable town not far from Acadia and the Schoodic. What more could you ask for? Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely apartment without a view

A little hideaway and is BEAUTIFULLY decorated, full kitchen with all you need for cooking and very quiet although in the middle of Ellsworth downtown. I recommend the place but just realize you have a drive to the park but it is convenient for traveling to other wonderful places like Schoodic Point and Corea. We came to see Acadia National Park and thought it would be closer since it is only ~15 miles but the road going to the park is VERY crowded and it takes 30-45 min to get to the park or Bar Harbor during the traffic in the summer. Still it is a LOVELY place and definitely worth considering. One other note, there is not a washer and dryer, we didn't need it while there for 4 days but if you stay longer, just wanted to share for information.
