A bit smaller than the pictures showed but otherwise very pleasant stay! Best for two people but manageable with four.

We really enjoyed our three-night stay at The Iris! It’s a little off the beaten path, which we appreciated, yet just two blocks from King Street. There are some great neighborhood spots nearby, including The Daily, which has excellent coffee and breakfast options. The property itself is unique, combining older Charleston buildings with modern, bridge-like walkways and platforms. While the rooms have exterior entrances, the gated property feels very secure, and our stay was exceptionally quiet. We explored Charleston entirely on foot, putting in some serious mileage without ever needing an Uber. The College of Charleston is an easy walk, and even the Battery is within walking distance if you enjoy exploring. Our room felt like a small, well-appointed New York City apartment, complete with an espresso machine, Keurig, two TVs, spacious bathroom, wonderful linens, washer, dishwasher, and a cozy living area with a dining table. There was plenty of closet space but no drawers, so plan accordingly. We made use of virtually every inch during our stay!Everything was spotless, and the staff was exceptionally helpful and communicative. Housekeeping appears to be available upon request, though we didn’t need it. Extra towels, blankets, and linens were already provided.I especially appreciated the keyless entry for both the main gate and our room. No keys to keep track of, and the system worked seamlessly despite the office not being staffed 24/7.Overall, a wonderful place!

We’re especially happy that the amenities, cleanliness, keyless entry, and communication from our team helped make your stay comfortable and seamless. Great experience for a quick weekend getaway

My daughter and I had a great experience staying at the Iris. Everything from the booking through checkout went smoothly. The studio apartment had everything we needed, very clean and well appointed. The location was great and within walking distance of many great restaurants and shopping. We would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Charleston.

Wonderful place to stay while exploring Charleston

The property is perfect as a base for exploring Charleston. The suite is well-designed and had everything we needed for a multi-day stay. Our suite was spotless! The owners were very helpful and obviously cared that we enjoyed our stay. From here it's easy to walk to the historic downtown, as well as restaurants, coffee shops and more. We will stay here when we come again, and have already recommeded this location to others.

We traveled to Charleston, SC and stayed for a week at The Iris. It met our every expectation. Great location, super quiet rooms, amazingly comfy bed and a great kitchen and bathroom set-up. We were greeted with a lovely note to welcome us and a bottle of wine! Shout out to Hannah and Nathaniel and their associates in ensuring our every need was met. They provided recommendations for restaurants, shops and sights to see. We will def be back next year to visit and will be sure to book this AirB&B again!
