Shearer Bliss Oceanfront Milowai Condo 104 is a perfect vacation rental for 2-4 people on the beautiful Island of Maui. If you are looking for a centrally located, spacious, and comfortable accommodation that offers modern amenities and breathtaking views of the ocean and the Haleakala volcano, then this is the right choice for you.
The 579-square-foot condo is conveniently located a few steps away from the swimming pool, which is surrounded by a large deck. A two-station barbecue area is nearby where you can enjoy cooking and dining while overlooking the ocean. The pool area also has restrooms.
A large lawn is a great place where you can enjoy watching the green sea turtles and lounging in comfortable lawn chairs. Often you can spot the whales during whale season (December - March.) Imagine soaking up the sun, sipping a cocktail, and enjoying the amazing view while listening to the crash of the waves. You can take a short walk to Maalaea Harbor, where there are various restaurants and shops. Whale watching, water sports, and snorkeling tours are available. Haycraft Beach Park for swimming, boogie boarding, or sunbathing on a sandy beach is a short drive or walk away.
The fully equipped kitchen in the condo allows you to prepare your favorite meals using basic cooking supplies, spices, and utensils. If you don't feel like cooking, there are several great restaurants in the nearby area that offer a variety of menus. You can find more information about them in the guest information guide provided.
After a long day, you can relax in the queen-sized bed with a tropical quilt and luxury linens for maximum comfort. The bath offers unique Maui-made amenities and a new walk-in shower. A top-quality, queen-sized sofa bed is in the living room with the same soft linens.
The spectacular lanai, with its stunning views of the volcano and the ocean, is a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or cocktails in the evening. The lanai chest holds beach chairs, a beach cart, and child sand toys. You will find beach towels in the living room wicker chest.
The unit is equipped with various amenities such as WiFi, cable TV, a Blu-Ray/DVD player, a wireless printer, and a portable AC unit. Use the full-size washer and dryer in the unit to refresh your towels and clothes.

Excellent location the pool and grounds are outstanding and overall lovely and quiet.

For adults perfect in terms of lovely and quiet away from busier areas. The pool was an outstanding feature with putting privacy. The grounds are well kept and offer perfect view of the ocean and whale watching right from the lanai. This wouldn’t be a great spot for little kids there’s no direct beach access. If you need groceries you can take the bus or rent a car. The location by ocean center and Maalaea harbour is very good for tours right from the harbour. The room was okay and suitable although the appliances are outdated and don’t work very wellBut otherwise everything about it was fine and very good value for the price.

Comfortable and great location

We stayed here for a month while I was on a work assignment. The owners have done a nice job of keeping the condo well stocked but free of clutter. We actually had room to put our things away in the closets and drawers and even stow away our suitcases. There are pros and cons to being on ground level but this unit had a surprising amount of privacy even when sitting out on the lanai because of thick vegetation and the wall surrounding the pool; nobody is ever walking past. Have to mention that we saw whales doing their dance up close right from our lanai. We had no problems but the property managers were quickly responsive and helpful to the couple simple questions we had. The assigned parking spot is convenient. It is a really nice place to stay for 2 people.

What a view!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful condo! The condo was clean and well stocked with all the essentials. The location is great, a short walk from the harbor and the aquarium. Our favorite part of the condo was the lanai with a gorgeous view complete with whale sightings!

Nice location..

The bedroom gets very hot even with all the fans going. Also no matter how many times we tried to get the cable boxes to work they never did. Wouldn’t have been an issue if I didn’t have my children with me.

Lovely stay in Maalaea Harbor

My partner and I stayed here for our honeymoon - I loved the location to the harbor as I had excursions planned that took off from there, having a pool, and having a clean home and comfy bed to come back to each day. The best part was the view every morning, which was even more spectacular in person! Turtles at the breakwater which was steps from the lanai everyday, and a beautiful walk along the rock wall. It was fairly windy, which may be attributed to the time of year or the location on Maui, but the breeze was perfect to cool down the house each day. Quiet, ideal place for two that I would be thrilled to stay at again.

Great private oceanfront stay

Fantastic property! Very private. Despite being ground floor, there was no one walking in front of the lanai and so it felt very private and was quiet. Unit was well equipped with all we needed for a 6 night stay.

The furniture and appliances were well maintained and we had a real assortment of cutlery, other cooking utensils and spices, which was a nice surprise. In comparison to friends who stayed in the same block, they were not as well supplied with all the necessities, as we were. It was also nice to have beach chairs and towels provided by the rental company. The only issue we had was the sofa bed which was not very comfortable. The rental company was very quick to respond to any questions we had, and were very thorough on the instructions on what to expect when we arrived. Overall I would recommend this property to others.

Quiet & secure unit in a favorably located property.

We found the property to be in a good location and well kept as a whole. The grounds and pool were well taken care of. This particular unit is on the ground floor, which has its pro’s and con’s (same as any). The unit has everything you would need in it and was clean. The management team are very responsive, accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed our time.

Great condo, excellent location

We stayed in the condo for 9 days. It’s a fairly small condo but you can certainly pack in a whole family comfortably if needed. The kitchen is well equipped and makes it easy to save money on food if you don’t want to eat out. I have some dietary restrictions so it was good to cook for the family sometimes. The location doesn’t seem to be super popular in Maui. I’m not sure why, though. Although there aren’t lots of beaches or shops right there, it’s pretty central on the island so you can get to anywhere you want pretty quickly. My wife and some snorkel and so we spent a lot of our visit hitting the beaches. None of the good ones were more than a 30 min drive away. The only longer drives are for the crater and Hana but those are a trek no matter what. This spot also gets breezy so it’s pretty cool at night, which is great when the days are hot. The check in and check out were easy and straightforward. Would absolutely stay here again. Thanks!!

My stay at Miliwai, Unit 104

Initial instructions from Destination Vacations (DV) was excellent. Master key would not unlock the front door upon my arrival. Called Destination Vacations. They had an individual meet me to try and unlock the door. Very difficult to unlock door. Codes would not work on keyless entry. Next morning could not lock door so had to leave unlocked until I returned. DV tried but could not lock door. After working with the owner, DV installed a new keyless lock, which worked fine. Lots of excuses as to why owner did not want to change keyless lock. Information I received from another housekeeper and DV was this lock has been an issue before. I just needed to be able to access and depart condo to include locking and unlocking. Hot water heater had to be replaced 2nd day I was there. DV stayed with contractor until work complete. Housekeeper did not replace dirty sponges with a clean sponge. Two light bulbs out in lamps. After notifying DV, they replaced light bulbs, threw out dirty sponges and replaced with clean sponge. Quiet area. No issues with pool noise. Coffee pot had not been cleaned. Very dirty. Cleaned it myself. A number of these issues could have been addressed with housekeeping. I commend Destination Vacations for their response to my issues. The owner should have offered compensation to me for issues I had with the condo. The lock was the BIGGEST ISSUE. Living room movable A/C worked ok. Does not cool the bedroom though.

Beautiful quiet sanctuary

The property was perfect for our stay. Spacious and well equipped with everything you would need. Was lovely to listen to the ocean from the lanai. It’s a quiet area (which we liked) with not much on around so you need a car. There is a lovely beach at the end of the road that you can walk and a few areas that are good for swimming. The proximity to the marina is perfect and Lahaina can be reached easily by bus. The property managers were helpful and responsive. The app was a nice added bonus. If your looking for a beautiful quiet sanctuary, this certainly fits the bill! Thanks for everything.

Clean, quiet and a great place

The place was CLEAN and had all amenities. They had all the beach chairs, towels etc… to borrow as well. The managers were very easy to communicate with. The location was a bit more out of the way for any nightlife within walking distance. It is a close to the airport which was nice. The AC in the living room was a nice touch, but the bedroom did get a bit toasty at night. We used the ceiling fan and given the time of year, it worked just fine! We would stay here again, the little kinks weren’t a deal breaker for us.

Awesome place to stay in Maalaea

This is a great place to stay for couple or small family. The apartment was clean and well organized. The view from the lanai was great - we were able to watch whales jump and splash while we ate breakfast. Unit has A/C, but honestly we enjoyed opening the doors and keeping it breezy. Location was great too - it made for a quick drive to Kihei or Lahaina. Definitely recommend.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is certainly one of the nicest rental condos I have stayed in. The kitchen and bathroom cabinets and countertops have all been recently updated, along with the flooring and furnishings. The kitchen is probably the best stocked (appliances, utensils and gadgets) I have ever seen. All in all a very nice place to stay.There are a few items that were not to my liking. First and foremost, the photo shown is not at all what you actually see when sitting on the lanai. There is the pool wall and pool utility room roof directly in front of you. I would clasify it as an eye sore. If you can look beyond that, there is a view of the water and Haleakala as well as the occasional whale spout. Second, as one previous review states, the front door area is very poorly lit and impossible to see the digit on the lock after dark. PUT A MOTION ACTIVATED LIGHT IN - THEY'RE CHEAP! Next, there is a small appliance in the bedroom called an ArcticKing. It is a miniature evaporative cooler. There are two huge problems here. Evaporative coolers only work when the humidity is below 35%. Worst of all, it works with a small reservoir of water. Unless it is cleaned almost daily, black mold grows here and if used, blows those spores out into the room for you to breathe while sleeping. It is a health hazard - THROW IT AWAY!!Lastly, the welcome note said there is a starting supply of coffee. There was no coffee. Also, the coffee pot auto timer doesn't work and it is equiped with a "CONE" filter system. They only supply basket paper filters so you can't make a half of a pot of coffee without the grounds spilling over the edge and into the pot. YUK!! Buy a new coffee pot...
