Waterfront Hilltop Escape, Modern New Construction Ready for Family Fun

Beautiful new construction home with new furniture inside our family's professionally cleaned 3 bedroom / 2.5 bath home located on a private and peaceful peninsula in the town of Trinidad, TX - about one hour and 20 minutes from Far North Dallas. Favorite off-season activities include the Triple N Winery, Cedar Creek Brewery, Canton trade days, Yesterland Farm, Athens Fish Hatchery and so much more!

Enjoy a beverage of your choice on the back deck or relax on the party deck above our boats. The home is wired with large Sony screens in the living room, master bedroom, and there is also a big screen on the back porch if you want to watch a movie from the hot tub. Enjoy a huge variety of adult and kids board and card games. Take a peaceful walk by the lake or ride our bikes around the most beautiful part of Cedar Creek Lake.

Fish off the dock for some of the lake's largest catfish. We have caught 10 pound catfish while fishing from the top of the party deck so bring your gear and fishing poles or we have a few fishing poles for use that we keep in the boat storage area.

Go for a swim near the boat dock with easy ladder access and float on the 18' long Lily Pad for summer fun. Families enjoy making s'mores around the firepit with plenty of chairs for relaxing and watching the stars.

Lake life redefined! There's even award winning BBQ nearby at The Feed Trough if you don't want to cook. We have a nearby grocery stores (Brookshire's), fuel stations, and a Dollar General nearby if you forget anything or want to restock the coolers.

The Lake's best gourmet kitchen with high end appliances (Kitchen Aid and Verona Range/Oven) opens to a large family and dining room with a couch big enough for the whole family. The guest bedrooms are separate from large master bedroom with full luxurious bath and dual showers.

Home is wired with fiber internet and a private desk area overlooking the water if you want to work in a quiet spot at a desk overlooking the water.

Lone Star Marina is nearby (under 10 min.). We don't allow boats to tie up to our boat house or dock, however there is a large parking area where you can park your boat and take it to a public boat ramp at Lone Star Marina nearby.

No pets, max 2 cars on property (no street parking), 9pm-9am quiet time, no large group parties, and no smoking is strictly enforced anywhere near the the property. We have wonderful neighbors who watch over the beautiful neighborhood closely and we want our family oriented guests to be respectful. Front parking area and the back of the home overlooking the boat house are covered by outdoor security cameras.

It was a great quick last minute summer trip for us! The house is very nice and filled up with activities to do. The host was very responsive and accommodating. We caught lots of fishes at the canal. Highly recommend this place.

Just Book It

Beautiful home on a little creek off the lake! Very kid friendly with various board games, pickleball equipment, fishing and hot tub! Kevin answered and responded in a timely manner! Highly encourage you to book this property…..JUST BOOK IT! Not a lot of room for parking, but we had only 1 vehicle so it wasn’t an issue for us.

Our stay couldn’t have gone better, we had the most amazing getaway weekend with family! Such an amazing home with all accommodations! Super recommended for a fun relaxing weekend with family, fishing, being in the hot tub and going out.

So much fun for the kids!

We stayed at this home for 3 nights with our 7 grandchildren ages 1 1/2 to 13. They all had a wonderful time! There was so much for them to do. The water lily pad was a hit, as well as fishing from the grounds. We brought a remote control motorboat and used it in the canal. We made s’mores, used the hot tub, and did karaoke on the upper deck at night. The pantry is filled with games for all ages, including balls and paddles that the kids enjoyed along with the outdoor net for a kid-style pickleball. The house itself is very pretty. We appreciated the large dining table. There is a regular coffee pot as well as a Nespresso machine (no Keurig). The only thing we really would have liked was more silverware, so bring plastic or your own if you need more than 6 of anything. The house was stocked with plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, trash bags, dishwashing liquid and dishwasher detergent. We tried to take a walk to the lake but weren’t able to find a cut-thru with public access. A very nice neighbor though invited us to walk to her backyard which was open to the beautiful lake. Overall, I highly recommend for a fun filled time. More geared toward kids because of the two rooms with bunk beds, but truly anyone would enjoy the property. We certainly did and hope to return in the future!

Beautiful property - excellent amenities

The first thing that jumps out about this property is how modern, updated and clean it was. It was so great to spend the day outside overlooking the water and then to relax at night at such a beautiful property with every amenity we could need. I stay at a lot of VRBO properties and it was nice that everything on the property worked (i.e. A/C, WiFi, Gas Grill, cooking utensils, etc.). Also the layout of the property was great because we were all able to hang out together as the kitchen, dining and living were all open. The gigantic kitchen island was where we spent a lot of time. The shower in the master bedroom was a huge hit with everyone, it was massive! Also, there actually were fish out in the channel, and the owners let us use their fishing gear. The neighborhood is quiet, so not a party cove. Instead, there were a lot of families in the neighboring homes. I highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet lake get away for the family.

Wonderful time at the Lake

We enjoyed the hot tub, watched the RNC in the big screen, fished on the lake. We lived the walk in shower in the master bath and slept well on the comfy beds. The kitchen, family room area was a great place to fellowship! The back porch was a beautiful place to have our coffee and start the day while the birds put on an aerial demonstration! Good memories!

Solar Eclipse Destination

Our stay was wonderful. The house had everything we needed to view the eclipse, including a nice deck to take in the full view. For the kids they enjoyed fishing in the canal and enjoying the hot tub. The house was spacious and well equipped for our group. I would definitely stay again!

Luxury at the Lake

This house was incredible. It’s beautifully done inside, there’s so much room and it’s set up beautifully. The main bedroom shower was an experience. The kids had so much fun playing and fishing in the back, there were zero complaints. Will definitely be booking again.

Lovely retreat

The hot tub and balcony were favorite spots at this beautiful home. The master bathroom was gorgeous and the bottle of wine was a nice and enjoyed surprise. My only suggestion would be to add windows coverings as the motion sensors were bright at night. The water level was too low to fish but we will have to come back again and plan to re t a boat. Thanks for letting us enjoy your lakehouse!

This property was a last minute reservation. Stayed 2 nights, and that was just not enough. From the host just being a text away to the relaxing and beautiful views this house had everything and then some :) Beds were so comfy and clean; kitchen was the perfect place to hang out and it had everything we needed... of course if we weren't outside fishing or in hot tub. I will definitely be looking for this property in the future.

Good Times

This listing lived up to expectations! What you see is def what you get. There was plenty of space for everyone. We even pulled a massive catfish out of the canal from the top deck. We would for sure come back, especially when it’s a little warmer. Both the host and property manager were very responsive and even checked in to make sure we were doing good. We all had a really good time!

Super Fun House!

New home on a canal that has all the amenities! While we spent Christmas during sub-zero temps-the hot tub actually was in great condition! The house is great! We enjoyed a Christmas away from the norm. Thanks to Kevin and his family for offering their home for our family to experience.

Nice House

We had a short stay but were welcomed with a bottle of wine. The house is new construction and nice, with comfortable beds and furniture. The owner was quick to communicate back anything that we needed and was helpful to share fishing tips prior to our visit.

Beautiful home. Great communication.

The home was beautiful and had most of the amenities you would need for an extended stay. If you want to access the water from their dock check the water levels with the owner first. Due to the drought in Texas the water was empty in the canal which forced us to have to drive to a state park to access the water. I planned to use the lillypad in the canal but ended up having to buy some rafts because it is too large to fit in a mid-size car. I also didn't feel comfortable taking the owners property off-site. Overall, the house was beautiful and well kept. The communication from the owner was fast and responsive. We would come stay here again.

Lovely home, relaxing weekend!

The property is gorgeous, great layout and was more than amply stocked for a weekend getaway. Quiet location, spent a lot of time outside enjoying the deck and feeding the ducks. Owner was very responsive to questions and so nice to work with. We hope to come back soon!

Amazing lake house with all the extras

This is one of the most beautiful rental properties I have ever stayed out. The owners went to great lengths to add all the right details to an already amazing new build. Great bedroom and bathroom setup that makes this location great for a family or larger group. The master suite is exactly what you want after a long day of lake fun, including spacious room, king bed, double vanity/sink, and amazing large double shower and bathtub. The main living area and kitchen is amazing for meals and fun with family. The two spacious deck areas and hot tub are great for some outside time to relax on. The property itself is tucked in a friendly lake community neighborhood that is safe and well cared for. Grocery store and a number of local eateries are within a short 10 minute drive. A great spot for a lake get away.
