Welcome to A Shore Thing, beach house! The location is fantastic on This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom beach cottage. Sit on the front deck and watch the sunrise and sunset and relax! DOG FRIENDLY!! I provide toilet paper, paper towels, linens, laundry detergent and dish detergent! I want my home to feel like your home away from home and build memories just as I have with my family.

sweet beach cottage

My girlfriend and I had a really lovely stay at this home. The house layout and linens were great. Loved the location and would rent again here.

Perfect Beach Cottage

Just as explained in the description. Beautiful beach cottage with everything you need! We had a broken shower head when we arrived and it was fixed in about 5 hours after messaging the host.

Beautiful when you walked in, my friends where ohing and awing. The house was spotless!

I would definitely recommend renting A Shore Thing! As a matter of fact I want to come back in the fall. Close to beach and a small Beach Pantry. Needed some milk we forgot so the Pantry was not even a block away. Most everything was furnished in the kitchen and bathrooms.

Birthday Getaway

Went down to Oak Island for my hubby’s 60th birthday and had a great time. This property is in a perfect location and we walked to the beach in just a matter of minutes. It was well maintained and suited our needs perfectly! Communication with Naomi was effortless and she responded right away when we had a question. Highly recommend this place!

Wonderful stay! Our first time visiting Oak Island. The host provided great communication. We loved the location, just a short walk to the beach. The home was perfect for our family of 5. Would definitely go back!

Cute house, great beach access

We stayed for a week and while the weather wasn't the best, we had a nice time with beach strolls and just relaxing. Property was quiet and peaceful and a short 2 to 3 minute walk to the beach. We encountered no issues with the property but host was very responsive so I'm sure anything would have been handled promptly. We stayed with one dog and there were food and water bowls available and extra dog bags. We enjoyed our time and it's definitely a town to visit in the on season too!

Great Location

We had a nice stay, the house is a 3 minute walk to the beach. The house was nice. The floors needed to be mopped better my 1 year old was getting dirty crawling but not the worst problem! It would be nice to have a grill but the patio was great for relaxing. The owner was easy to communicate with and very responsive. We would stay here again!

Oak Island Trip

This place was the perfect place to stay to be close to the beach. It was like a minute walk from the house to the beach access. Will be staying here again!

Wonderful trip

We enjoyed our stay. Great location! Lucky for us the house was nice because we were stuck inside for multiple days bc of the storm. We played games and relaxed. Would stay again.

Great place to stay on OKI

Clean and comfortable beach house within walking distance to the beach. Great for families or friend groups. Didn’t run into any issues and the owner is very responsive. I love how the house is easy to spot with the string lights.

Extremely comfortable and clean

Great place to stay for a family vacation at the beach. Host was great to work with. Unit was very clean and organized. Cant beat the location - already looking forward to next summer!

Memorial Day weekend

Had a wonderful Memorial weekend with my husband and friends. The house had everything we needed and more! We loved finding this house walking distance to the beach as well as being dog friendly! We will definitely consider this house for our next Oak Island Vacation.

Beach Weekend!

We needed a relaxing get away beach weekend, we found the cottage and it looked perfect. Everything was perfect and as described in the listing. The house is about a block from the beach, it was perfect. The check in and out process was smooth, and the owner responded to questions quickly (I am the type of person who asks one question at a time)! It was a great weekend just what the doctor ordered

Perfect to walk to beach only 2 short blocks

Love the place and Naomi was great to work with. Only issue and not a big deal, remodeling on the house next to us so there was building materials and contractor trash on that side of the house. But in all honesty, had no impact to our stay. Location for us was perfect.

Great find!

The house was exactly as it is pictured and it was easy to communicate with regarding check in. The location is perfect and the road was not very busy and the beach access was very close. We would love to stay again!

Like staying at a friends house !

What a beautiful and tastefully decorated home. Plenty of towels,soap- dishwashing, dishwasher, hand and even laundry soap! Paper products were supplied also. Along with clean linens. Truly felt like staying at a friends home! Communication was more than amazing , in fact there was a glitch with reservation because of MY error and the owner was so very kind and patient. I’d recommend staying here 100%. We had everything we needed and more!! Such an easy walk to the beach and we hung out on the perfect sized covered porch in the AM and evenings. Don’t hesitate if you are looking for a great home,great location and great hostess- this is it!

Walking distance to beach!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and nicely decorated. Getting to the beach was easy, just a short walk. Communication with the owner was also very easy. The sunsets at Oak Island were some of the best I've ever seen!

I was on the hunt for a beach property! I wanted something cozy and a couple rows back from the ocean. When I found this home, it was a gut job! I'm a realtor though so saw the vision and value in the proximity to the ocean and went for it! I put a lot of love into this home and I hope you enjoy it as much as my girls and I do!

I love the proximity to the ocean. It's a 1 minute walk to the beach access so you don't have to have any sand in your car, can come and go from the beach for food and restroom breaks, easily!! I wanted the home to be cozy and comfortable, which I hope you feel when you arrive!
