It was a cute little cabin with a great pond for fishing. Host was very friendly and communicated effectively for when we had some questions. We did like that it was out in the country and quiet. I would defiantly go back to stay there again.

We had a pleasant stay. Kim was very nice and attentive. The kids enjoyed fishing in the little bit of off time that we had when we weren’t at the baseball field.

We had the most wonderful stay! Super cute cabin - clean and comfy! Our 9 year old loved fishing in the pond and we cooked our catch (trout) over the bonfire at night. It was a 30 minute drive to All Star Village. What a special spot!

We rented this property while our son played in Cooperstown All Star Village. It was an easy 30 minute drive and nice to go back the seclusion and quiet after long days at the ball fields. Communication with the host was phenomenal and I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a place. If we return next year, we will definitely stay here is it is available.

Cooperstown Tournament

If you’re coming out for the tournament and this place is available, don’t think twice. Perfect spot less than half hour from the games or the hall and everything you’ll need for a nice quiet getaway. Great fishing in the pond, beautiful sunsets, and everything you need to relax after a long day. And check out the winery/ microbrewery less than 10 minutes away!

A hidden gem!

Our stay was wonderful! The cabin is original/old, solid and very well maintained: the environment relaxing and soothing. We had everything we needed and more! Beautiful book selections and sports package on the TV! Great communication and suggestions from Todd helped ensure our comfort. Fresh trout dinner was the icing on the cake! Thank you!

Unbelievably awesome!

Absolute perfection! Could not recommend this place more than saying it is a PERFECT getaway! Son played in Cooperstown tournament and it was close enough to go back and forth and far enough to get away and enjoy absolute peace! Fishing was great, weather was great, and host was perfect! Highly suggest getting away here and I plan on being back even without tournament!! Mike June 20-28, 2023

Accommodating

The experience was great at the cabin. We were expecting glorified camping and it was much more. All the house amenities were present for all the rooms. The kitchen was set up with condiments, spices etc. the bathroom had sufficient towels, toiletries etc as well. We definately over packed for our stay. Thank you.

It is awesome to have guests like Toni. Doing the most we can do to provide for a successful stay for the entire family is paramount. These young baseball players wait a life time to be in a tournament such as this. We strive that everything be in support of this achievement and to exceed expectations whenever possible. It is just that important to us!

Triggered nostalgia

The nostalgia of the cabin was amazing! The decor in the cabin showed that the place was loved and lived in by some incredible people! It took me back to my great uncle’s cabin that I haven’t seen in 20 yrs. We were treated like family and taken good care of during our stay. Communication was not lacking. The owners gave information on the history of the cabin as well as suggestions of where to go if we wanted something. They were so kind! The only drawback was not having a washer/dryer.

Incredible fishing pond and ideal location.

Our 7 night stay at the cabin was the highlight for my family during our Cooperstown trip. It’s 30 minutes from All Star Village and the drive was easy and enjoyable. The kids thoroughly enjoyed hours and hours of fishing and canoeing on the pond, which is surrounded by gorgeous trees and just a few feet away from the cabin. The fireflies at dusk, the birds chirping, coffee on the porch, all so special. The beds are super comfortable and the shower is nice. It’s a rustic cabin but that was part of the charm for us and it quickly felt like “ours”. I’m so glad we stayed here and can’t wait to book it again in 5 years when my younger son is back at Cooperstown. If your family loves fishing and beautiful landscape, look no further!

Our hosts were very kind, attentive and responded quickly, with efficiency. The rustic cabin and property is perfect for a quiet little hide-away, decompression & get in touch with nature. The drive to our Grandson's Cooperstown Tournament was an easy 25 minutes through beautiful, hilly Central New York State rural countryside. The character of the home gets better with each day as you learn to slow down again. Believe in the "Rustic". Finding the driveway is a great introduction into stepping back into time. The cabin went through a few stormy nights easily & newer windows keep the place buttoned up. There are still trout in the small pond! They are fun as they tickle the lines.
