Rent the private lower unit of this Madison River Frontage House. Located at the West Fork of the Madison River, you can enjoy some of the finest Blue Ribbon Trout Fishing known or head south to explore Yellowstone National Park. This home is located in the center of recreation - fishing, hunting, hiking, snowmobiling, horseback riding - perfect for outdoors enthusiasts. Walk out entry to steps down to the deck on the river to float, fish, or just enjoy the views. 90 min to Bozeman or Big Sky Resort. 37 miles to West Yellowstone
Complete with its own entrance and patio, you can BBQ on the deck while watching the river. All bedding and towels provided. Kitchen is fully stocked with all basic utensils, pots pans, cookware, serving dishes, cups, glasses, coffee maker etc…
Minimal dish soap, dishwasher detergent, body wash, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags are provided. For longer stays or bigger groups, it is recommended to bring additional.

Vacation on the river in Cameron

Beautiful home with matching view of river and mountains. It was more than what I expected. Home is roomy and in excellent conditions. Great getaway which created lasting memories. Many thanks for making your home available.

Fly fishing dream

If you are going to do nothing but fly fish and hang out this house is perfect. Make sure you bring all your food and entertainment because it’s 30 min from a store in both directions. Other than that it was a beautiful view and very quiet.

Really beautiful location. Roomy space with 3 bedrooms. Kitchen/dining room/entrance is spacious and comfortable! Great communication with owner. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful

Lodging was beautiful and clean! The property manager was super helpful! Only drawback was no Wi-Fi and our cell data was blocked inside so no phone calls, texting and no cable.

Beautiful country location

Was a little far from Yellowstone but beautiful countryside accommodations. Also the Grizzly Bar and Grill was AMAZING next door. A large kitchen island would be a very nice addition. Path to lower entrance could be improved!

Beautiful house

The house is amazing. We could never get on the wifi and the television doesn’t have any stations, but we weren't there for the technology. However it would have been nice to relax on the couch every once in awhile. The check out proceedures were never disclosed and there are no mops and brooms so left it aa clean as we could. We absolutely love this place though and would definitely stay there again

Property review.

Beautiful property however fireplace was not working, WiFi was not working and there was no cell coverage in the home. It would have been helpful to know that it was not available before reservations were made.

Madison River House

Stayed in lower unit of house. Pathway down to lower section is dirt & gravel and can be slippery. Propane fireplace stopped working ( out of gas?). Clothes dryer was not working.

Not as excellent as we hoped it would be

We had 7 guests staying here, and everyone said that the beds were uncomfortable. The property says that a TV is available. But the TV is useless because it has no cable or no antenna so it can't be used at all. The front door lock was very hard to use and we had a hard time entering the house when we first got there. Every time you walk outside the door locks on you. It was very frustrating. There is also no internet and it's very hard to use your cell phones.

It was abysmal,would not recommend to my friends in the future

1 The main door opens even after locking it. 2 The heaters are not working for 2 bedrooms and the dinning room as well. 3 We are out of toilet papers and kitchen towels and don’t have extra rolls. We can buy it but no stores nearby. 4 The hand wash is watery and no foam comes out. 5 Hot water is not sufficient for 6 of us. It gets over after 2 people takes the bath.

Nice place but could be even better

Starting off with all of the positives. The property was super clean and the views are spectacular with access down to the Madison River. Close to Wade/Cliff Lake, West Yellowstone or Ennis. The beds and bedding were super comfortable. The negatives are, I didn’t have great communication with the host even when I asked a question two weeks before we checked in and a question about how to use the fireplace, which is the primary heating source for the main living area. The house is very cold (64 degrees) because it does not have a central heating system. Each bedroom and bathroom has its own separate in wall heaters but the kitchen, dining and living are heated by the electric fireplace, which there are no instructions and when I requested information I never heard back. There was a renter staying above us who was very nice, but you could hear every step he made in the unit so that’s something to be aware of. I read all the reviews and was aware of the hot water issues. We made sure not to run two showers at the same time or any other water in the house, and we still would have bouts of cold water in the middle of a shower. No one took showers longer than five minutes just to make sure all 6 of us had an opportunity for warm water. The path down to the second level is dirt and rocky definitely something that you would need to be aware of if you’re unstable or elderly. There’s no Wi-Fi so don’t plan to watch the TV. The house is for sale so that might factor in..

Summary

Property was extremely nice and clean. The river behind the cabin was enjoyable to wake up to. Only downfall we had was lift pump to the septic tank went bad so we had water back up out of the drains, so we couldn’t use the shower or any of the faucets. The next morning the electric was out so we had no WiFi connection to plan out our day. Overall I’d stay again but those were some inconveniences at our stay.

Excellent location

If you are looking for a vacation rental that is close to the Madison River then this is the place! Great overlooking decks just feet from the river and a short drive to all the river access put in’s. More attention could be given to small details as we ran out out of toilet paper and coffee filters during a 3 night stay…. but overall a great weekend and our second time here!

Amazing Location for Fly Fishermen

We have an annual fly fishing trip with friends and this was the perfect place. We had the lower portion of the house. The lower part of the house was very functional, but no bedrooms had a view of the river. The upper portion of the house was not rented out when we were there and that was nice. We were 5 minutes from Lyons Bridge where we met our float guide. And on the days we didn't float the Madison we were able to access and fish the Madison right from our back porch! Great place to stay if you want to fish. Ennis was about 30 minutes away.

Great place on the Madison River

The deck overlooking the river is fantastic. Make sure to bring your bug spray though. And if you like fishing at all, bring your gear. Plenty of fly fishing stores nearby as well. The town of Ennis is just North and well worth your time.

Madison Valley Paradise!

We had a great time! Great location right on the river. The boys fished right off the deck. The views from the deck are awesome. House was perfect for the 7 of us.

fly fishing home base

Great location and comfortable for four adults. the views and access to the river were more than we could ask for. Caught fish right in front of the deck on multiple days. Will definitely be coming back to this great location.
