This property absolutely blew us away! So clean and relaxing! Minutes from the airport. It literally checked every box for us and then the host put it over the top giving us all kinds of suggestions for things to do and places to eat. We will be back with friends and plan to rent all 3 bungalows next time!

Wish we could have stayed longer! Michelle was great always responding right away with any questions we had before arrival and during! Scott was an amazing host! Picked us up at the airport and quickly got us food at the Belkin Brewery which was a great place! Thank you Scott for all the tips 1-15 lol! We will be back!

We went over the Easter weekend, which is a big deal in Belize. Our hostess lookup in advance a few spots that remained open over the holiday. So that was top notch! I will be back!

The whole place is beautiful, with a wonderful pool and lots of flowers and trees surrounding the area. The native birds are singing and welcoming. Our room was great and had everything we needed. Scott picked us up and took us back to fly home. A total great experience.

This place is an absolute gem! The pool is stunning, the room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and incredibly comfortable, and the entire property feels like a little slice of paradise. Our host was outstanding—they truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this stay. If you’re on the fence, just book it—you won’t regret it. Highly, highly recommend!

Fantastic property, filled with charm!

We loved our stay at the Gecko Bungalow. The location is convenient to the airport, the decorations were so fun, whimsical and charming all at the same time. And Michele was very welcoming and responsive. Everything was perfect for us, we HIGHLY recommend!

The poolside bungalow is a whole vibe, right down to the monkies holding the light fixtures, to the swing at the dining table! You have to see it to Belize it!! Clean, comfortable and well appointed. Mini stove, kitchenette, and rainfall shower. Best part... You walk right out on to the geck pool deck!!

The entire place is so well-designed and nicely lighted at night so the area can be enjoyed well after dark. The pool was sparkling clean and just perfect for relaxing with lounge chairs in the water. Our unit was very comfortable - great air conditioner and fan - and the decor is very cute. The owners are so helpful and friendly and very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed.

Wonderful accommodation and excellent hosts.

The accommodation was delightful very quaint, clean tidy with a lots of attention to detail. The hosts Michel and Scott are exceptionally thoughtful, friendly, and considerate. They are frankly the best host I have ever encountered which enhances our experience tremendously.

One of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed!! The attention to detail, the landscaping, the lighting, and everything down to the handles on the cupboards was amazing. Will definitely stay there again. Michelle and Scott were fantastic hosts. I highly recommend this property!

This is a jewel, well located for vacationers. We stayed for two weeks and had a wonderful vacation at the bungalows. Top flight facility and everything is as advertised. Highly recommend the facility. Became friends with scott and Michelle, owners and managers.

True Vacation Vibes

At only a few minutes from the airport this place is perfect to start or end your trip on the mainland if you plan to visit other areas and want the ease of travel. Once inside the complex, you truly feel as if you are in a resort- the grounds, the pool, the entire space is carefully thought out to inspire vacation vibes. Hosts are incredible as was Felipe who all ensured my friends and I had everything we needed! Highly recommend!

Perfect ending to our Belize girls' trip

Gecko Bungalows blew us away! The property was a tropical paradise! Our room was extremely clean, and full of funky details that felt truly one of a kind. Scott and Michelle were very communicative and gave us lots of suggestions to maximize our experience in Ladyville. We will definitely be back!

We had a delightful one night stay at The Gecko Bungalow the night before we left Belize. We originally chose the spot due to its close proximity to the airport and free shuttle. Michelle was out of the country but very responsive to our messages and even helped arrange for an early check-in for our group of 8.Scott was an amazing host, very personable, and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Lots of good conversation and fun around the tiki bar while the kids enjoyed the beautiful pool. Not to mention the best suggestion for dinner at a local brewery.The grounds and rooms are amazing with so much to explore and fun little touches around every corner. A perfect little slice of paradise.Our only regret is that we didn't choose the Gecko Bungalow for our entire trip. We are already planning our next vacation and looking forward to spending more days/nights at this amazing property!

Gecko fabulous

I am glad I booked 2 nights (instead of 1) before our journey home. Michelle and Scott were excellent hosts and made us feel right at home. From the rooms decorated with her style and the grounds that encompass their vision of a Belezian oasis, we will definitely be back and bring friends to share the experience with. Absolutely LOVELY bungalow ... and LOVELY hosts! I can't say enough good things about this property -- it's an oasis! Wonderfully designed, meticulously detailed, truly an escape. Very secure, safe, and private. We only stayed one night -- a very convenient location near the Belize City airport -- but we would have been happy to stay much longer! I am certain that if/when I return to Belize, a stay at this bungalow will be included as part of the vacation! (We stayed 7 days in Hopkins Bay, not in Belize City ... so just needed 1 night at Gecko before flying out.) Thank you, Gecko, Michelle, and John! Can't wait to return ...
