Welcome to One Playa Laguna! This amazing property combines the exclusivity and privacy of a large villa with the amenities and comforts of a hotel. Located just 2 minutes walk from a safe and secluded beach, 5 mins drive from bars and restaurants in the town of Sosua, and about 20 mins drive from the Puerto Plata International Airport. This superb property is designed and built to give our guests a spot where they can both party and chill.

THE PROPERTY:
When your group books Playa Laguna One, you will enjoy absolute privacy. It is your resort, your people, your piece of paradise. Visitors are welcome.

Maximum occupancy 2 pax per bedroom, for a total of 44 guests in 22 bedrooms. If your group is significantly smaller but still want this amazing space exclusively, please reach out to us to see if we can offer you a better rate.

BEDROOMS:
The property consists of 22 rooms, all with AC, Fan, Safe, and Closet. All are distributed in 12 fully furnished/equipped apartments. 20 of them with a King bed, and 2 with a Queen bed each. 16 complete bathrooms in total.

Within the 12 apartments, we have four basic layouts, one, two, and three bedrooms. All apartments feature a private balcony overlooking the pool, and a living/dining area, equipped with AC, a mini-fridge & a flat-screen smart TV, with Netflix. Six of the apartments have direct access to the pool.

INDOOR AND OUTDOOR CHILL SPACES:
A large outdoor pool, with chairs, towels, and two outdoor showers.

THE BAR:
A complimentary bartender is included for groups of more than 10 guests. The bars are fully stocked and guests are welcome to get the all-you-can-drink option or provide their own liquor.

THE HUT:
This is where guests eat and lounge. Located right next to the bar, the hut has seating for up to 44 people, but can also be used to watch your favorite sports games or movies with a projector and retractable screen. There you will also enjoy the pool table. A drinking water dispenser is also available.

CUSTOM BUILT 20 PERSON HOT TUB:
With such a large property we knew that we had to raise the game when it comes to amenities - that's why we custom built an amazing hot tub for your soaking pleasure.

BASKETBALL COURT:
Based on past client reviews, we decided to add a half court basketball court for our guests to enjoy and compete.

THE KITCHEN:
We pride ourselves on providing our guests with the freshest and best food on the island. We work with every group to customize a food plan to make sure we offer up exactly what you want to be served. Packages range from breakfast plans to full all-inclusive packages and great prices. Guests can also choose to cook for themselves or get our optional private chef service.

WIFI:
We know how important it is these days to stay connected. There is HIGH BANDWIDTH - HIGH-SPEED WIFI throughout the property.

MASSAGE:
Take advantage of our optional in-house massage services. Discount rates on group packages are available.

SECURITY/ ELECTRICITY: There is 24/7 security and a backup generator that powers the entire facility including the AC's if needed.

Had an Amazing Time

We had a group of over 30 of us staying at the villa. Everything was exceptional. Nina and the staff were very helpful and resposive. Food was great and the villa was beautiful.

Booking was easy, description of property was an understatement. Property was amazing, filled with modern updates, spacious, and in a quiet neighborhood. Host was extremely accommodating and met ever need, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Highly recommended.

This place is absolutely amazing!!! My now Wife and I had our wedding week here with our family! The staff is over the top amazing and so accommodating to everyone’s needs! I could not have asked for a better week with everyone and celebrating just life and our marriage!Nina is amazing and so helpful with organizing all the food, activities, taxis and everything else in between! From first getting there with Anderson taking our bags to our rooms. Angel and Christina were top notch with the drink flows and were so kind and made us feel like royalty!If I could choose a place to come for a whole family I’d choose this place over and over again!Also shout out to Maddy our wedding planner who works so well with this place and making our wedding a dream come true!Thank you so much Ben for offering a beautiful place and truly making this place feel so warm and welcoming. It felt like we were staying at a close friends house! Thank you thank you thank you!

Amazing Place and Amazing staff

The staff was amazing. They definitely made the trip unforgettable! Christina kept the party going every night. Her shots were amazing!! She was so fun. Jackie was the best. He makes the best Bloody Marys ever. He was so kind with all the kids, played with them, chatted with them and made them feel at home. They truly made the vacation one of the best ever. The staff was wonderful from the cooks, to the cleaners, to the bartenders! I would highly recommend to anyone!!

Great location for a large group

We had the pleasure of working with Ben and Nina with our stay. With every question we had they would answer with no problem, we will get it, or figure it out. We had 40 adults/teens/kids stay and the staff went above and beyond (even played basketball and pool with the kids). We went with the all inclusive package and they easily were able to accommodate our group, even with food allergies. We also had a couple nights we went out for dinner and their suggestions we perfect. Nina talked us into doing horse back riding and I think everyone that went that was one of their favorite days.

Paradise in Sosua

This property is amazing. While they call them rooms they are actually apartments. So each room was a one or two bedroom apartment, with a fridge, kitchen, and sitting area. The pool and bar in the middle was our great social area. The manager Jonathan was amazing in arranging everything we needed. Chefs, on premise laundry, groceries, drinks and so on. Every evening we had an amazing bartender from 3-11 which was a great addition. Everything was close by but far enough that we did not have noise pollution. The day I left I missed it already.

Our stay in Sosua, Puerto Plata was truly one of the most epic and unforgettable celebrations our family has ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, safe, and incredibly well taken care of. The staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was attended to, and we want to give a heartfelt shoutout to Rosanna, Christine, and Anderson — their service was nothing short of exceptional.What made this trip so special was not just the beautiful setting or the pristine, impeccably clean rooms (thanks to the diligent and friendly cleaning staff), but the people who made us feel like family. Whether it was help with an event detail or just making sure we had everything we needed to feel comfortable, they were always there — warm, attentive, and kind.Ben, our host, was another standout. He was incredibly accessible and reassuring throughout the entire process, and with his support, everything went even better than we hoped. His presence brought peace of mind, and his care made all the difference.This is more than just a place to stay — it’s a destination to celebrate life, love, and togetherness. Whether you’re planning a special event or just looking to create lasting memories with your loved ones, I cannot recommend it enough. Perfect spot for a destination event

We planned a large party for our 20th wedding anniversary at this property, and the staff made it happen in style and without a hitch. Our group had 23 adults and 10 kids, and everyone had a terrific time. The layout of the property, with the pool in the center, a variety of different sizes of apartment units, the bar, the dining hut, etc., is perfect for socializing throughout the day. The pool is a perfect depth for kids, and the nearby beachfront is beautiful and free of the beach hawkers who you will find in other areas of the North Coast. The staff was terrific -- Cristina was a standout as our bartender, and Ben, Nina, and Roseanne helped us arrange outings and other requests. Anyone who has traveled to this part of the world before will know that it is less predictable than many places, and the staff helped smooth that over by responding quickly to all of our requests and making sure all transportation was arranged with reputable service providers. The rooms are all clean and recently updated, and many guests commented on how comfortable the beds are. All rooms have a spacious and luxurious feel. A/C worked great throughout. For food and drink, we opted for an all-inclusive deal and highly recommend doing that. The daily breakfast buffet was excellent, their all-day menu offered our guests lots of flexibility on daily plans since they could eat whenever they felt like it, and dinners were excellent. Particularly high marks for Indian, Dominican, & Surf & Turf.

AMAZING! We WILL be back!

This was easily one of our best vacations ever! The villa was the perfect size and location for our group of 19. With unused rooms--we turned one into the "massage suite"--we were able to spread out and easily enjoy our own spaces. Visiting three different beaches, each within 10-15 minutes drive, we loved the location and felt safe given the upscale nature of the neighborhood. The nearby beach, just a short walk away, was perfect for watching the sunset and swimming. Pictures don't show just how nice this place really is. It's breathtaking! It's true that the units have kitchens, but you won't need them. Get the all-inclusive food and drink. It's the only way to go. The chefs were amazing! The bartenders, Christina & Yaque, were so fun, personable, and very responsive to our group. Rosana took care of anything we needed. Any time we ran out of a requested beverage or food, it was replenished within half an hour. Anderson and the housekeepers worked hard each day to make it look and feel clean and fresh as new. Also, what a treat to have laundry service! Nina was AMAZING!! She took care of every little detail starting with our transportation from the airport, booking excursions (LOVED hiking in the waterfalls!), arranging drivers anytime needed & for our surfer to get to his beach just 10 minutes away, and providing FANTASTIC restaurant reservations. We were taken care of to the extreme! The young adults in our group labeled this as "The Bougie-est Vacation Ever!"

Would like some money back

I want to start by saying that while the staff was amazing, I was not pleased with my stay. There were several issues that made the experience disappointing.First, when we arrived at the property, three of the rooms were completely trashed. I have videos and pictures as proof. Some rooms were still dirty, with remnants of bridal lashes all over the walls and floor.On the day of our event, there was a serious lack of communication between the staff. Additionally, security was a major issue. The security guard allowed a few neighbors to trespass, record, and take pictures of our event. They even told us we needed to turn the music off, which was completely inappropriate.Later that night, four of my cousins were locked out of their room. The security guard was unable to help, leaving them with no choice but to drive an hour and a half home.By Wednesday, there were no longer any staff members available, which led to another issue. My sister accidentally locked her money in the safe, but the safe was not working. As we were getting ready to leave, we had to wait an hour for someone to come and open it.Overall, these issues significantly impacted our experience. I wanted to bring them to your attention, as I expected better service and security during our safety

Having trouble deciding on which was better - the property or Juana!!!! without her EXPERTISE i’m not sure how PERFECT our trip would have been!!! 25 of us and Juana really made sure everything I requested was top tier!!! we can leave out Anderson - he was right there before we could finish saying his full name happy to assist us with everything!!! this place is by far 1 of the best vacas we have been on!!! we would book here a million times again no questions!!!To the property owner: don’t ever let Juana or Anderson leave bc they value your property and your customers more than you know!!!

It's easy to look at the pictures of this property and think it might be too good to be true...but in reality, it's even better. Every aspect of this trip exceeded our expectations. We were a group of 18 adults coming together for a 40th birthday party. And this was THE MOST INCREDIBLE VACATION. From the initial communications with Ben for the booking, to working with Nina on all of the details, to the full staff onsite, everybody was so nice and created the best trip for us. We especially loved all the food that Chef Manual and the rest of the kitchen staff made for us. Our bartenders: Christina, Angel, Ariel, Kelvin - were all so incredible. And finally, Anderson - who was always available for anything we needed. We will definitely be back at this property. Nina was communicative and made sure all of our airport transfers, and rides through the trip were covered. She is super responsive and flexible. Overall, this property and its staff are a 12/10 - would HIGHLY recommend.

Top Notch

The standout property in Sosua, Puerto Plata. From the outset, the owner was very communicative and went above and beyond in terms of accommodating the special requests of our group. He curated a menu for us, made sure the selections at the bar was to our liking, and was just super gracious as a host. We opted for the all-inclusive plan, but I'm sure the owner will work with you to fit your desired budget. The staff is amazing - kudos to the cooks who happily/willingly took food orders throughout the day, the bartenders who made sure our glasses were always full and the bar fully stocked, the cleaning staff who kept the property immaculate, and the onsite security who kept a watchful eye on the property throughout our stay. If you are looking for a brand new property in the Playa Laguna area that can accommodate large groups, this is the ONE.
