We loved our stay! Beautiful property, we had some issues with Ryson that almost ruined our trip but eventually everything worked out fine. The house had the most beautiful views. We definitely will go back.

Fun Beach Getaway

Booked an extended weekend stay at this home. Home is beautiful, spacious and well decorated. Pool and large back patio was very nice to have. Close enough to enjoy all the amenities Galveston island has to offer

Will definitely stay here again

This was a great house to stay at. House was clean and check in was easy. There is nothing I can say bad about this place. I will definitely try to book this house the next time I come down here.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay the house is beautiful the pool and bay are amazing. We had some maintenance issues and the bed broke in the master. The toilet from master to living room leaked and we lost a spot to sit. They came and fixed the bed with a few screws but the very next night it broke again. The dripping onto the couch didn’t get resolved while we were there they were coming as we were leaving at checkout time. Everything else was absolutely amazing and such a beautiful place to stay and be. Even with issues we’d go back

Loved this house so much it was perfect for our family. Old reviews complained about no stairs on the upper dock and they were there and able to access. All the dock lights worked and was actually really pretty. Downstairs you can open the garage door and sit at the table or couch and watch everyone swim. The two bottom balconies have a porch swing which we used and loved. Someone complained about them not having necessities which there was. They had guest hand soap bar soap shampoo and conditioner in all bathrooms and dish soap and dishwasher detergent AND a dish sponge in the kitchen sink. There was not any at the downstairs bathroom or kitchen. There was a really nice blackstone grill there and a charcoal grill too. There was plenty of extra blankets and pillows and even an extra sheet set if you used the couch bed! There was 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom and one roll of paper towels. Washer and dryer worked great and we washed all of our towels as we used them and tried to clean up after ourselves as we went. It’s definitely an old house. One bedroom didn’t have a fan and our family said it was very hot at night so maybe plan to bring your own with you. The very top floor bedroom was beautiful we loved it! We were devastated when we went to use the shower and it was leaking. I text them and they submitted a work order and we just had to use the other shower. They were so nice and even called to make sure we were able to get inside!

Had a great time.

Overall property was as pictured and met expectations. Couldn’t figure out how to get the dock lights to work but also didn’t ask. Caught several keeper flounder off the dock and a variety of small fish and crabs for the kids. Would definitely return.

Christmas Trip

Enjoyed our stay in the house. The freeze didn't ruin it. We were comfortable with all the conveniences of home. Management was prompt when contacted with issues. We plan to return during warmer weather to take advantage of the pool.

The house has a few maintenance issues that should be addressed. The balcony railings on the top floor are in need of repairs. There were a few times after showers were taken that water leaked onto the floor below. We also had issues with the refrigerator in the main kitchen, it would stop working and the inside temperature would begin to rise and the food would start to warm up and then after a length of time it would start working again. Even with the issues mentioned above we did enjoy our stay, the pool was absolutely wonderful which everyone enjoyed immensely.

Pleased with home

House was clean, it was a nice location. Pool was cleaned right away when called. It was nothing bad where we couldn’t use it till they came. We enjoyed the home, AC worked very well. We enjoyed the pier for fishing and swam while we were there. I wish they provided trash bags but we bought some. I would rent there again.

Spring Break Getaway

Pros- the outside area is great. The pool was clean, the decks and seating areas are nice. Cons- Overall cleanliness was lacking. Toothpaste leftover from past guests, some trash left in the bunk room, and mold/mildew and a very musty smell in the downstairs area. There were small roaches in the kitchen/living room area, both alive and dead. We found them in cabinets, on dishes, and one in the refrigerator. The bunk room was much smaller than anticipated, more of a large closet, and the beds are not actually twin beds. We had older teenagers, so they were a little cramped.

Comfy beds, pool needed cleaned

The property was clean and as advertised. It was a short drive to get to any restaurants or the beach. Our only issue was the cleanliness of the pool. It was green and clouded the day we arrived. After several attempts to have someone out to clean it, they arrived on our 3 day of our stay. They did improve the look of the water enough for us to enjoy the pool for the rest of our stay; however, it was never clear enough to see the bottom of the pool. We enjoyed doing several things around town and cooking dinner back at the house. We had a wonderful stay!

Decent stay

The home has obviously been effected by the recent hurricane/previous weather. The back door is warped and doesn’t close properly. The first day of our trip, we had unexpected contractors come through the gate to the backyard without our knowledge and quickly put together the bottom part of the broken deck/pier, however we were unable to the top deck as shown in the picture. Would’ve appreciated the heads up that people would be back there all day as we had children wanting to comfortably use the pool. The lower level shower barely had water pressure or hot water. Overall we had a decent stay, but we probably could’ve found something else for the price we paid.

I was very happy with the location and the view but inside was totally different.

Inside the house needs a lot of work. The kitchen counters were infested with ants, we bought Raid but the next morning it was like we hadn’t done a thing. Cockroaches are still present in fact my granddaughters came home with them in their suitcases which didn’t make anyone happy! The stove only 1 burner worked. I feel the house just needs some major upkeep. The family had a lot of fun in the pool and all of us adults loved the view from the deck, just sad due to the ants and cockroaches it put a damper on things. Probably would never return.

No communication

I have booked this rental property a week in advance and it was cancelled at 6pm the day before check in time. I didn’t receive a confirmation of the cancellation nor notified about my refund until I had to call the agency. The agency mentioned to that the house was still confirmed. I had to call around to make sure if it was confirmed or cancelled due to a family vacation and all the money that was spent. There was NO COMMUNICATION between the rental agency and owner. Ruined my son’s birthday weekend and nobody helped me at all. Got my refund from the rental agency after arguing with them and got the rest of fees that I spent after again arguing with VRBO because nobody will get my refund. I will NEVER use VRBO again. Worst experience EVER.

Horrible Spring Break - Do not recommend without significant improvements

Property said it sleeps 15 with 3 bathrooms. I couldn't make 15 work if I brought my own air mattresses. Basement bedroom not usable due to mold all over pillows, blankets and in drawer. Bathroom in basement also not usable due to chain continuing to come unhooked and odor. Not to mention just shier worry of having children sleeping down there with the mold. Blinds broken, couch ripped, cockroaches galore and simple basic amenities at every vacation rental I've ever stayed at weren't included for a week's worth of vacation, trash bags, salt & pepper, aluminum foil, etc. Yesterday, after all the rain the kids walked on the dock and the boards broke and a portion of the dock literally came apart and one child was hurt. I have a 4 year old out there as well, extremely unsafe. Not close to any attractions, everything is driving distance which seemed misleading as well.
