Lakefront home with gorgeous views of Lake Barkley

Enjoy the stunning beauty of Kentucky's Land Between the Lake year around from the Edgewater Retreat. Our exquisite vacation home is located on 1.9 acres in a quiet woods setting on the waters edge.

As you drive down the private driveway, one of the first comfort amenities you'll notice is the privacy, followed by the two car attached garage and the abundance of parking accommodations for guests and boats.

The main level has been set up with entertainment in mind. Its open floor concept (combining the kitchen, dining room and living room), allows for more family/guest interaction. From the new kitchen appliances to the stand kitchen-aid mixer, this fully equipped kitchen allows you to cook as much, or as little as you desire. The dining room seats 8, but because of the floor-design, guests can easily converse with the guests seated at the kitchen table and island bar.

When you aren't taking in the impressive view of lake Barkley through the living rooms large French doors, you might wish to view the 60 inch flat screen TV. It is located in the spacious living room directly over the gas log fireplace.

The laundry room is on the main level. It features a high efficiency washer and dryer along with an iron and ironing board.

Also, located on the main level are:

King suite (bedroom #1 with his and her bathrooms), king size bed and flat screen TV.

Bedroom #2, queen size bed.

Bedroom #3, queen size bed.

Full and a half-bath.

The entertainment continues on the lower level with a fully-furnished game room. For your enjoyment, there is a TV/DVD viewing area, pool table, ping-pong table, electronic dart board, board games, popcorn machine and wet bar. Everything you'll need to make fun-family memories.

Completing the lower level inside:

Bedroom #4 queen size bed, sofa bed and TV.

Bedroom #5 full-size bunk beds.

Full bathroom.

With several boat ramps close to Edgewater retreat, launching your boat and starting your vacation on the water has never been easier.

We invite you and your family to experience our spectacular vacation home and nature at it's finest, available all four seasons! Beautiful sunsets, fabulous lake views, and tranquility.

Family vacation

Very nice place!

We were pleasantly surprised to find snacks and juices left for us when we arrived. The house was very clean, well stocked kitchen and everything looked exactly as the pictures. The house was a great place for us to stay and we really enjoyed our time there!!

Perfect for family time

We stayed at this house with a beautiful view for a family get-together for our parents' milestone birthday. We enjoyed all of the activities that were available for us to do right at the property. We enjoyed the easy drive to the Land Between the Lakes Recreational Area. The owner was very quick to answer questions and provided so many things in the house to make the stay comfortable. We definitely want to return to this property for a longer stay.

Lake House

Great House

This house never disappoints. I know that new owners have just purchased this property and you can already tell how well things will be taken care of. It is clean, has had a fresh coat of paint and looks amazing on the inside. I know that a new deck will be put in this fall which will be a plus. The only reason I didn't rate this house a 5 is because there is no lake access. A dock would put this house over the top!

Beautiful property with a great view!

We loved our stay at this property! The house was clean and well stocked with things we needed for our stay (pots & pans, mixer, etc). The view of the lake was amazing, and the screened in porch was essential for sitting outside at night, because of the bugs. The kids and adults loved the pool table and other games. The layout of the house was great. We had the upstairs for adults to talk while the kids played downstairs. There were a few restaurants and a Dollar General all within a good distance (Harper House was SO good!) The nearest Walmart is about a 30 minute drive away. Over-all, we were very satisfied and would definitely stay here again!

Well equipped, beautiful house

Our family group of 8 adults and 2 two year olds spent a wonderful Christmas week at this house. The two separate living areas on different floors were crucial in keeping the toddlers entertained and the adults sane. The little ones loved dancing to a Wii game downstairs, while the adults competed at pool and ping pong. The beds were comfy, the towels plentiful, and the kitchen very well equipped. Multiple TVs let the football watchers indulge while others enjoyed holiday fare. The owner was very responsive when we had questions regarding short power outages our first night (below zero and snow the cause). I highly recommend this accommodation.

Beautiful View in a Peaceful Setting

The house was larger than pictures depict it! It slept all 10 of us (5 couples) comfortably for our family vacation! There were plenty of bathrooms as well! The kitchen was so well stocked… probably the best out of every house we’ve stayed in! The large deck was perfect for drinking your coffee and watching the water! We had 3 deer wonder through the yard! We also really enjoyed sitting in the screened in porch once it got too hot for the deck! The only downside of this house is that it is not accessible to getting in the water, but I was fully aware of that prior to our arrival. The state park is only 20 min away, so we swam at the nice beach there. My boys fished from the water’s edge at the house and caught a few catfish!! It was a wonderful week and we are so grateful to have been able to stay at this house.

Little Piece of Heaven

My family had such an amazing trip! So much to do in the house and outside that we never left. (Thanks to DOORDASH 😉) We walked around the lakeshore and fished and picked up beautiful shells. They also have kayaks you can use but I’m a coward and didn’t. Lol. Kind of had a miracle when we were there. My son Davis is 23, has Autism, and is basically nonverbal. He just kind of keeps to himself. He’s a big teddy bear ❤️ My younger son and I were playing ping pong and Davis walks up, takes my paddle and starts playing ping pong like a gold medalist. Praise the Lord 🙌 I’m rambling but this place is so fun and magical, anyone would enjoy it. They have a pool table, ping pong table, pinball machine (bring lots of quarters) and a hot tub. THE VIEW IS BREATHTAKING!I hope to make it a monthly event.

Even in gloom we had a good time

The inside of the cabin is lovely. There were 10 of us and there was plenty of room for each of us. Although my one niece is wheelchair bound she got around fine except she was unable to get into the shower, and there were two bathrooms in her bedroom. That was a little weird. Looks like the new owners have made a few changes and hopefully will continue outside. The porch needs new screens and the railing on the deck is a little low but we didn’t have any children with us so that was fine. The weather wasn’t the greatest so we stayed inside and played games for the most part. The light fixtures in the dining room and kitchen are beautiful but could use a dimmer switch. They are very bright when you turn them all on and since my niece couldn’t get to the basement we stayed upstairs. Even so we had a great time. Thanks for sharing your place.

Yes-the lights in the dining and kitchen area will have a dimmer switch on them eventually we just had very little time to make a few changes he’s we wanted to after taking ownership in March! This fall-we do plan redoing the deck and porch area because we too agree-needs it! The master bathroom situation I agree, is weird as well (I think our exact words) that too will all get renovated and become one large bathroom! We will DEFINITELY keep in mind handicap accessible with this! Thank you again and we hope you can come back!

Family Thanksgiving

This was a great place for our family to have a relaxing time and celebrate being together. It was easy to cook meals in the well-stocked kitchen, and plenty of room to enjoy games, puzzles, and a beautiful view of the lake. Great hosts and prompt in responding to questions!

Fishing and Boating Family Vacation

Had a great time. Loved the view from the porch swing in the backyard. Great location for using Lake Barkley Marina. Pictures of property on website were accurate. The only problem was the location of the boat slip. Not walkable and a trecherous trail down to dock.
