This newly constructed, modern-yet-cozy cabin in the woods, just off Petenwell Lake (Wisconsin’s second-largest) provides the perfect launching pad for a family or group getaway. There’s fun to be had during all four seasons: You're three-quarters of a mile from a public boat landing and around eight miles from the Sand Valley Golf Resort, Northern Bay Golf Resort, and Lake Arrowhead Association for all types of fun in the warmer months. Multiple ATV and snowmobile trails are nearby, and you’re a little over twenty miles from Ho-Chunk Gaming Casino in Nekoosa.

But the best perks of this adorable cabin are right on-site. If the weather allows, start the day outside at the covered gazebo or sitting around the fire pit with a steaming cup of coffee, admiring the tree-lined view. When hunger strikes, head inside to the well-equipped, modern kitchen for breakfast. There’s a full suite of appliances, plenty of counter space, and all the gadgets you need to whip up a feast. Dine together at the adjacent table for six, or head back outside to eat alfresco.

After a day on the lake or exploring the surrounding countryside, head home and get the electric fireplace going for maximum coziness. Grab a spot on the couch and stream your favorite shows on the flatscreen mounted on the mantel. Retro-loving gamers in the group will be glued to the arcade-style Pac-Man game downstairs, where you’ll also find a round table for four, the perfect place for a friendly game of euchre. There’s another TV down here if you can’t agree on what to watch.

At bedtime, four comfortable choices await. Downstairs you’ll find a queen room and one with a queen and matching bunks; upstairs features a king room and one with a queen. No matter how you spent the day, the perfect way to end it is back outside around the fire pit, toasting your good luck at booking the perfect rural retreat.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
