Unfortunately, few bad apples spoil the whole bunch. Due to fraudulent bookings and guest misrepresentations and/or false information, we have opted to require all guests to check in at our office with proof of ID. We indicate this up front, so anyone that does not want to check in at the office, have the option to book elsewhere. We are not asking our guests to go out of their way. Our office is located off Foley Beach Express, en route to the condo. In addition, we still believe in relationships. We want to meet those that will be occupying our property. We are not interested in just renting and collecting money. We see our renters as people that deserve personal service. Over the years we have developed relationships with numerous repeat customers. That does not happen easily when you take away the opportunity for face to face contact.

We cannot guarantee that the parking fee will remain the same. One of the reasons we ask our guests to purchase the parking passes directly from Bluewater is to save the guests of any mark up in price.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Sounds like you had a good vacation in spite of couple of issues. Yes, it was explained at check in that the Condo Association's contractor still had some repairs that they needed to come back and re-do from the hurricane, primarily the windows/sliding glass doors. Our rental information clearly indicates that our property is not a hotel, but a condominium. We do not provide consumable items, which is a common practice for individually owned condo rentals. We provide each guest with a starter kit, which includes a roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, roll of paper towels and coffee filters in the kitchen, hand soap and bath bar in the bathrooms, soap to do a two loads of towels, and trash liner with spare. Anything beyond that is the guest's responsibility. This is all detailed in our rental terms, and also explained at check in.

Thank you for taking the time to give your input. Yes, I remember the problems you had purchasing the parking passes. I had to call the management company, who in turn called security. As I explained to you, we have had this condo for over 20 years and never had a problem until recently. You indicated that it was just one security personnel that was the problem. That the others were nice. Clearly this is a personnel issue with the security company hired by the condo management company. We, the individual owners of the condos, do not have any control over the personnel of the management company or the security company. As confirmed with the condo management company, security is supposed to sell you the parking passes. It is clearly detailed in our rental terms (which is provided for guests to read before booking) that we do not provide parking passes. I have personally compared prices of other condo rentals and what they are charging for added fees. There are many owners that purchase the parking passes in advance, but I found that they mark it up and pass on the cost to the renters. Having to manage almost 70 condos does not afford me much time to get the parking passes in advance and most of our guests appreciate that they can purchase the parking passes from security at cost, rather than having them provided at a marked up price.
