Gulf Shores Surf & Racquet Club 316A – Beach & Lagoon Getaway

Enjoy the best of both worlds at Gulf Shores Surf & Racquet Club 316A! This recently remodeled 1-bedroom condo comfortably sleeps families with a Queen bed in the primary bedroom and built-in twin-over-twin bunk beds in the hallway. The primary bedroom features a charming barn door and a private balcony overlooking the peaceful Little Lagoon.

The fully stocked kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals, or relax with takeout on the Gulf-facing balcony off the living room while enjoying the sound of the waves. Fresh paint and coastal décor create a cozy, welcoming space perfect for your beach getaway.

Guests enjoy private beach access across the street and direct access to Little Lagoon with a pier, boat launch, and rentable boat slips—perfect for fishing, boating, and kayaking.

Traveling with a larger group? Ask about the owner’s second condo in the complex (Unit 502C – 2BR/2BA), perfect for extended family while still enjoying your own space.

*Beach Chairs & Umbrellas: Sometimes guests leave behind chairs and toys they have purchased. If they are clean and in good condition, we will leave them for the next guests. Or, these items are fairly inexpensive and can be purchased at most local stores. Also, there are vendors that set up very nice beach chairs and umbrellas for daily or weekly rent (seasonally). Just find an empty one or the attendant.

*All Bed Linens and Bath Towels are provided. A full list of what is provided and suggestions to bring will be emailed to you upon booking.

The condo was exactly what I expected. It's an end unit and the balcony view of the ocean and inlet was nice. We could see dolphins in the ocean. We don't normally stay across the street from the ocean but our daughter's entire softball team stayed in the same condo. We were very pleased with the condo, the complex, and proximity to all the restaurants and shops.

The room was clean and a good location from the beach. Upon arrival the bed frame was broken, the light bulbs in the bathroom were flickering and needed changed (there was more in the closet we changed them). There is no air conditioning in the bedroom (they did supply a fan). The house keepers came into our room a day early and we were called stating that we needed to get out of the room. We worked it out and proved we had one more day in the room (I kept my emails), the host then apologized and we were able to stay our originally booked days. When we went back to our room after house keeping had been in our room the door was NOT LOCKED. Overall the walk to the beach was good, pool is nice and quiet but the room/ host was not the best.

I certainly do apologize for the housekeeping hiccup. I am not sure what happened in the system, but we did get that straightened out. I am sorry about the bed, but if we do not know, then we cannot fix it. Same with lightbulbs, we cannot predict when they are going to go out, so providing extra bulbs is all e can do. We hope you would change your star rating a this really hurts us.

Terrific vacation

Great stay. Room was well equipped. Location is fabulous and the property is beautiful. Bed was a bit firm but all was just as pictures showed. Perfect for the 2 of us.

We loved it!

We had a great time at this property. It was clean, the walk to the beach was nice and short, right across the street. It was far enough away from the restaurants and bars that it was nice and quiet but close enough to get there pretty quickly if we needed to.

Nice place very clean

We had a great time!! The condo was very clean and the condos were nice! My only complaint is there isn't a door on the bedroom other than that it was great :)

Gulf Shores - lagoon side

We enjoyed our stay. It’s away from all the traffic. Even on the cool mornings, if the sun was shining, you could get a tan on the south facing balcony. The AC quit working for about 4 days but luckily temps weren’t too high!

Perfect getaway

Property was nice and clean. We did have a problem with gnats and ants. I was worried about having to walk across the road for the beach, but it wasn’t bad at all. Not much traffic, and very easy access to boardwalk to the beach. I would definitely stay here again.

Recommend! Had a great experience!

Enjoyed the amenities, view of the ocean, and beach access. Initially, concerned about the quaint size of the unit but we made it work. Overall it was clean, functional, and equipped with necessities. We have discussed returning to this property very soon!

We stayed for 6 nights and have nothing but postive things to say about our condo and resort! Very family friendly! Short walk to the beach with a boardwalk to the sand. I do wish there was a ramp leading into the sand to make pulling a wagon easier. The condo was super clean and cozy! There was also "beach" items left by owner or other vacationers that was enjoyed! (Chairs, beach toys, fishing poles, boogie boards) We also left some of our extras for others to enjoy Will definitely stay here again when visiting gulf shores!

A little tight, but perfect location

Perfect spot for families with smaller children. The pool area was a great alternative to walking across the street to the beach everyday. Overall we would stay again, maybe in a little bit bigger room. Main bedroom got a little stuffy due to there not being an ac vent located in the room, but there was a floor fan available to move air.

Location

The location was wonderful. Close enough to everything g without being overcrowded. The walk to the beach was not far at all. The only issue we had was that the mattress was very uncomfortable and really unpleasant. My husband and I woke up stiff every morning and by the 6th night we were ready to go home.

Fantastic

Love everything about it, except the dish wash machine didnt work. That didnt bother us; just scrub by hand and enjoy life at Gulf Shores.

Quick Family Getaway

Overall our stay was great. Had a couple of minor issues but were resolved quickly. The location was close to everything including the lagoon and beach. We had a couple of surprises one being that there was no door to the only bedroom so no privacy and the property was advertised with Wifi/Internet but the condo did not offer this option. Not a big deal on the wifi since cell service was good. Overall, I would recommend this property and the host was great to deal with.

Thank you for your wonderful review! I have spoken with the owner, she will be installing wi-fi this week. We could not install a door on the bedroom as there would not be any airflow into the room. Owner is planning to rectify this with adding duct work and a ceiling fan to the bedroom once the heavy season has ended. We hope you choose to came and stay again soon!
