Wonderful recently update home in a very quiet community. We loved the house and the neighborhood. Very short walk to the pool and a quick drive or bike ride to all the Bethany beach attractions.

All you need

This was a great place for our family of 4! The layout and amenities all worked well for week long stay. The cottage was decorated beautifully with a beachy feel. Loved the close proximity to the beach, shopping and restaurants. The neighborhood was friendly with lots of options for dog walking.

Perfect location for access to Delaware beaches. Great neighborhood for walking, biking, dog. Everyone is friendly. A bit pricey but par for the course in this area.

Perfect Beach House

Our family loved this house. Very quiet little neighborhood only about 5 minutes from the beach. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. The community pool was very nice as well. We spent a lot of time on the three season porch. We will definitely consider booking this house again.

Great place for adults and kids

The interior of the house was more beautiful than the photos posted. Comfortable beds, lovely decor and good supply of cook/bakeware. The neighborhood is great for walking and biking with kids. Pool within walking distance. Watching the mama and two baby bunnies in the backyard provided additional entertainment for my granddaughters.

Little Gem.

This is a very nice property in a quiet older neighborhood. There was one problem that we waited to report until we left since it wasn't critical and we felt correcting would infringe on the week we stayed. Otherwise the property was as advertised.

The entire house was filled with tiny hairs. Looked like cat hair. My husband had to throw 2 pairs of socks away. The pool was in the back of community in the woods. Didn’t care for that. We had to leave 2 days early. My daughter’s and I couldn’t take the home because we have severe allergies.

Comfortable Property

The house is very nice—fully equipped and quite comfortable. The notebook that is supposed to contain information such as dates for trash pickup, location of the community pool, and guide to use of the television was missing all these pages, so we had to ask First Choice for this info. It would be good to ensure in advance that this info is available to renters. The only other issue is that there was no parking pass provided for parking downtown, and the community is not on the route for shuttle service to the beach. These would be good additions. But the house itself was quite comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.

Hello Mary Ann, Thank you for your positive reviews. We apologize that the notebook was not updated prior to your arrival. We quickly corrected the situation and added additional sheets regarding tv and remote instructions. Unfortunately, properties outside of the Bethany Beach area cannot acquire parking passes for residential spots downtown. I apologize for the inconvenience, but we do offer more than a few properties in the Bethany area that come with parking passes for your stay. Thank you, 1st Choice Properties

The family vacation

The experience went well. A few thing though: 1) I didn't remember reading anything about that 350$ additional charge from VRBO. We would like to discuss this matter further. 2) The place was loaded with ants when we arrived. My wife took a few photos of them if you would to see them. Alot of food was ruined because of this, including 40$ worth of Fractured Prune donuts among other things. 3) The beds and sofa were very hard and uncomfortable. 4) The washing machine was very very loud. It worked but I think something is seriously wrong with it. It was so loud that you had to scream to be heard when it was running. Honestly, we are not one's to complain but in order for us to consider staying there again these things would have to be fixed. All in all the place was nice and the neighborhood was very quiet with extremely nice neighbors.

Hello Shawn, Thank you for your comments. Regarding the VRBO fees, we at 1st Choice have no options with VRBO fees. VRBO charges a service fee for any reservation made and that fee is prominently displayed before the payment is made. We agree this service fee from VRBO can get a little ridiculous and let our guests know they can book directly through us after their first VRBO reservation. Unfortunately, ants are a common problem in this area and can reoccur even after the repeated pest treatment. We would have been more than happy to do additional treatments. We encourage our guests to let us know of any issues that occur during their stay. We have had more than a few guests at the property since your reservation and none had expressed issues with the beds or sofas. I am sorry that you did not find the beds and sofa comfortable. We will look into the washing machine being extremely loud. It is unfortunate that we had to learn about this issue via a review as we would have loved to take care of this during your stay. Thank you 1st Choice Properties
